When KRKXQ's lead anchor, Mr. Thropple, falls from grace and is dropped from the station, he sets out on a mission of revenge.

Swooping in to fill his now vacant seat is an unlikely duo: Steve, an ambitious, yet incompetent assistant anchor, and Darlene, a local resident whose down-country flavor might be just the thing this morning show needs to get out of its slump.

Will Mr. Thropple topple the station? Will Darlene prove to be as talented as she thinks she is? Will the unpredictable hijinks of an alcoholic weather woman spell the end of the news station altogether?
