Aprendi que os edifícios têm memória, que o espaço tem um ritmo. Não é estático. Existe uma tensão viva entre os espaços cheios e vazios, entre a luz e a sombra, que faz com que o espaço se expanda e se contraia à medida que nos movemos através dele. É como uma respiração. É como as emoções. É como a própria Vida. A geometria respira.

Com o passar do tempo, à medida que fui vivendo várias experiências, uma ideia, um sentimento, foi-se enraizando gradualmente dentro de mim: outro mundo de igual beleza — igualmente complexo, igualmente cheio de luz e sombra, igualmente vivo — estava à espera de ser relembrado.

O mundo interior.

Voltar a Casa é um registo dessa beleza. Uma conversa sobre a viagem de regresso a si mesmo — através do que permaneceu oculto, do que nos oprime sem que lhe tenhamos dado um nome: as feridas, as crenças limitantes, a sombra projectada pelo ego.

Este podcast é um convite. Não para seguires um método. Não para comprares um sistema. Não para seres uma versão melhorada de ti próprio segundo critérios que não escolheste.

É um convite para voltares a casa. Para limpares o cálice que és — esse recipiente de luz — de tudo o que se foi acumulando sobre ele. Para ouvires a centelha que sempre esteve lá. Para descobrires que a beleza que passaste a vida a procurar lá fora — nas paisagens, nas pessoas, nos momentos — existe também dentro de ti. Com a mesma intensidade. Com a mesma luz.

For years I have been photographing the silence of spaces. I have learnt to see the light and to wait before capturing it.

I have learnt that buildings have a memory, that space has a rhythm. It is not static. There is a living tension between full and empty spaces, between light and shadow, which causes space to expand and contract as we move through it. It is like a breath. It is like emotions. It is like Life itself. Geometry breathes.

As time went by, whilst I went through various experiences, an idea, a feeling, gradually took root within me: another world of equal beauty — equally complex, equally full of light and shadow, equally alive — was waiting to be remembered.

The inner world.

Returning Home is a record of that beauty. A conversation about the journey back to oneself — through what has remained hidden, through what weighs us down without us having given it a name: the wounds, the limiting beliefs, the shadow cast by the ego.

This podcast is an invitation. Not to follow a method. Not to buy into a system. Not to become an ‘improved’ version of yourself according to criteria you did not choose.

It is an invitation to return home. To cleanse the chalice that is you — that vessel of light — of everything that has accumulated upon it. To listen to the spark that has always been there. To discover that the beauty you’ve spent your life searching for out there — in landscapes, in people, in moments — also exists within you. With the same intensity. With the same light.

I’ve spent years recording the beauty of the outer world.
