      <description><![CDATA[<p>Founded in 1950 as a cooperative to assist coffee and cocoa farmers in the former British Southern Cameroons, the North West Cooperative Association (NWCA) has survived countless economic and political challenges in its 75-year history.</p><p>Waindim Timothy led the Anglophone institution that serves over 35,000 coffee farmers from 2014 until his passing in November 2025.</p><p>We look at his life and legacy in the very first recording of Two Cubes of Sour Sugar with Hilltop Voices publisher Bakah Derick.</p><p>Bakah Derick also takes us into the structure and role of NWCA, some of the challenges it has faced in a federated and united Cameroon, and efforts to market its new coffee brands at home and abroad.</p>]]></description>
