This is our first podcast series! These conversations came as a result of our understanding of the need for a more inclusive definition of coffee quality.

We have learned that things like our individual experience, background, and supply chain position have an impact on the role of quality for each of us. Yet at the same time, we've seen that other factors like gender, supply chain position, and access to resources have a much larger, outsized impact on achieving standardized quality assessment skills and understanding.

Through this series and subsequent Community Calls, we hope to amplify the need for an expansive definition of quality. These conversations will compliment work being done elsewhere to address the challenges with access and resources. Our focus will be to highlight the intersectional definition that exists already, and highlight the spectrum of our own experiences in order to affirm and inspire others
