The love and care that's involved in raising someone else's child and making them your own, in a sense, is an extremely impactful and meaningful choice that we may make light of today due to the memes we enjoy. Also, I want to address here that I didn't get to highlight the inspiration more in the episode. While my father was a great stepfather in his own right, my mother was a shining example of not just being a stepparent, but truly being the parent that stepped up.
