The L&D conversations everyone wants… but no one talks about.

The un-L&D Podcast is where Learning & Development meets the conversations practitioners actually have... the questions, frustrations, assumptions and ideas that rarely make it into the official presentation.

Hosted by Dr Aman Kapoor and Sumeet Maggu, the show goes beyond training calendars, course completions and generic best practices to explore what learning actually changes in people, organisations and business.

• Why do some learning programmes build lasting capability while others become attendance exercises?

• When does training become organisational capital?

• How should L&D think about behaviour change, learning adoption, workforce capability, business impact and ROI?

• What happens to workplace learning when AI can answer questions instantly?

Dr Aman Kapoor, founder of AKonnects, brings 25 years of experience across learning systems, healthcare education, digital adoption, strategic communication, organisational capability, webinars and podcasts. His work focuses on how knowledge, technology and learning move from being merely available to being genuinely adopted and translated into measurable value and better business outcomes.

Sumeet Maggu brings 15+ years of experience across Learning & Development, digital learning, enterprise enablement, learning governance, user adoption, organisational change and learning operations. His experience includes large-scale learning programmes, LMS enablement, onboarding, learning journeys, policy improvement and AI-supported workplace learning.

Together, Aman and Sumeet examine what organisations say learning should achieve, what research suggests, what practitioners actually experience and where those perspectives diverge. The show is research-informed without becoming academic theatre. Evidence is used to test ideas, challenge assumptions and uncover missing perspectives... not to replace genuine conversation.

Expect conversations around L&D strategy, workplace learning, corporate learning, digital learning, learning technology, LMS adoption, AI in L&D, generative AI for learning, leadership development, upskilling and reskilling, workforce capability, skills gaps, learning culture, capability building, behaviour change, learner engagement, instructional design, learning experience design, change management, talent development, organisational development, learning analytics, skills-based organisations, L&D ROI, business impact, learning effectiveness and the future of work.

If you work in L&D, HR, talent, organisational development, learning technology, leadership development, capability building, business transformation or workplace learning, this show is for you.
