We met working in a box office and our box office shenanigans led to Starbucks outings. After wasting too much of our hard-earned cash on questionable coffee, we realised that our mutual snarkiness, weirdness, and love of theatre meant we would be bothering each other for the rest of our lives. In order to do that (and make some art along the way), we founded TSquared Production Company in 2018.

Part of what drew us together was that, time and time again, we experienced plays that were stripped of their humour. In our experience, when something bad happens, people use laughter to survive. Joy, loss, grief, and trauma are channeled through a joke, a wisecrack, a smile when you really want to cry. We believe the most honest reflection of life includes humour and that it is essential to all stories, regardless of genre. For us, to strip a story of its laughter is to strip it of its humanity.

That’s why we strive to tell human stories with humour.

This podcast is an extension of that desire, with some good old fashioned silliness thrown in there.
