Krystina Pearson-Rampeearee is a multi-award winning Chartered Engineer and STEM Ambassador who works as an Engineering Delivery Lead and Early Careers Lead at BAE Systems, creates content on social media and owns her own small business, AviateHer. She studied Aerospace Systems Engineering at the University of the West of England and became the first engineer in her family. She is passionate about encouraging and inspiring more young people to consider STEM careers.

In this episode, Krystina talks about how not getting her predicted grades at GCSE didn't stop her from becoming an engineer, what she does day to day and why she wants to encourage others to follow in her footsteps.

She holds a Biological Sciences degree from the University of Oxford, where she specialised in biochemistry and molecular biology, and previously held the role of Senior Science Reporter at Newsweek. Pandora is passionate about overcoming stereotypes about what it means to be a scientist as well as advocating for unconventional careers in STEM.

In this episode, Pandora talks about how she switched her degree course after one year at Oxford and was so glad she did! Pandora also explores how young people are often encouraged to choose between science or the arts but actually combining those together is a real skill and it's absolutely fine to enjoy both!

Introducing the Scouse Scientist Podcast, hosted by Holly Ellis (The Scouse Scientist).

The Scouse Scientist Podcast aims to showcase relatable role models in STEM. The first series, "but you don't look like a scientist", highlights the diversity of careers in STEM whilst breaking down barriers, eliminating stereotypes and demonstrating that STEM is for everyone. By interviewing scientists, engineers and mathematicians about their career paths and day jobs, Holly is making these careers more accessible, relatable and most of all - interesting!
