Send The Team at The Prompt Project a voice note.

The Prompt Project Podcast is an AI literacy show for parents, caregivers, and direct support professionals who support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We read the newest research on AI and disability so you do not have to: what is actually working, where AI gets disability wrong, and why we are optimistic anyway.

Each short episode breaks down peer reviewed studies on AI accessibility, assistive technology, and self determination into plain language you can use the same day. We cover questions like: Can AI help adults with developmental disabilities live more independently? Which AI tools genuinely support communication, learning, and daily living? Where do AI systems misunderstand disability, and how do we push back? How do dignity of risk and dignity of failure fit into AI use?

Our starting point is a civil right: access is a right, not a risk to manage. We are cautious about AI hype and honest about its harms, but we believe the people we support deserve a seat at the table as AI reshapes work, communication, and community life.

The Prompt Project Podcast is produced by The Prompt Project team. Our mission is closing the AI gap for the people we serve through a free print ready AI literacy curriculum, a Facilitator Pack for trainers, an Agency License for organizations, and in person training across Northern California. Our hosts are AI voices.
