<itunes:title>Six Men, Two Brothers: The Airport Hotel Bashing</itunes:title>

In this episode, I’m covering a pretty full-on pub bashing that happened at the Airport Hotel in Darwin back in 2007.

This one stood out to me straight away because I actually used to work there as what they call a toppy (topless barmaid), and later did bookings for the pub — so I know the pub pretty well I couldn't believe I hadn't heard about this episode though, because it got pretty wild.

After one bloke made a joke about another man's weight, a fight broke out and the bloke who was upset about the joke was knocked out. So, he went home, rounded up a group, and came back to the pub.

From there, CCTV footage and witness accounts show what the court later described as a coordinated attack involving six men and two victims. The fight itself only lasted a couple of minutes, but it was chaotic, violent, and involved punches, kicks, bar stools, and even a hammer being brought into the bar.

I go through exactly what happened, step by step, based on court documents — then break down what happened at trial, the arguments raised on appeal, and why the convictions ultimately stood.

I’ll also be covering another case involving one of the men from this story in a future episode.

Apologies for the short episode today, I will be back next week with part 1 of 2 episodes on Darwin mass murderer, Benjamin Hoffman.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

<itunes:title>Zak Grieve Part 3: Christopher Malyschko — Prison, Kronic, and a Death in Custody</itunes:title>

This is the third and final episode in the Zak Grieve series.

In this episode, we focus on Christopher Malyschko — the man who carried out the killing of Ray Niceforo — and what happened after the trial.

We go through Christopher’s sentencing, including why he received a non-parole period of 18 years instead of the standard 20. The court considered his background, his lack of prior serious offending, and the ongoing abuse and threats within the home that contributed to the situation.

From there, we look at his time in prison. Christopher was described as a model prisoner — working, completing courses, and keeping out of trouble. But like many inmates, he was also dealing with long periods of boredom and limited options, particularly after being transferred from Berrimah Correctional Centre to Darwin Correctional Centre at Holtze.

After the move, prisoners lost access to many of their personal belongings, including books and music, with a promised digital system meant to replace them. That system failed for years, leaving many inmates with very little to occupy their time.

This environment contributed to the widespread use of Kronic — a synthetic cannabis product — inside the prison. In this episode, we examine how that played a role in Christopher’s death in custody, and the findings of the coronial inquest that followed.

This episode also touches on broader issues within the prison system, including supervision, substance use, and whether more could have been done to prevent what happened.

This is a confronting case, and it impacts multiple families — including those of Ray Niceforo, Christopher Malyschko, Zak Grieve, and Darren Halfpenny.

Listener discretion is advised.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

In Part 2 of Zak Grieve’s story, we move beyond the events of that night and into the courtroom, where the real complexities of this case begin to unfold.

This episode focuses on what happened after the murder of Ray Niceforo, and how the legal system responded to the roles each person played. While the facts of the case were laid out in court, what followed raised serious questions about justice, responsibility, and the limits of the law.

You’ll hear how Zak’s involvement — despite not being present at the time of the killing — still led to a life sentence under Northern Territory law. We break down how mandatory sentencing played a critical role, and why even the judge acknowledged that the outcome may not have reflected Zak’s true level of involvement.

This episode also explores the broader context, the environment these young men were in, the influence of others, and the ripple effects of decisions made in a moment that would change multiple lives forever.

As the case continues, we look at the growing concerns around fairness in the justice system, and how this story became part of a much larger conversation about law, accountability, and mercy.

This is not just a story about what happened — it’s about what happened after, and whether the outcome truly reflected justice.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

This episode focuses on the lead-up to the murder of Raffaele “Ray” Niceforo, and the role of Bronwyn Buttery.

For years, Bronwyn lived in a relationship marked by control, intimidation and violence. What started as a relationship that seemed promising slowly deteriorated into something much darker — leaving her isolated, financially strained, and fearful for her safety and the safety of her children.

As the situation escalated in 2011, threats, abuse, and intimidation became more frequent. Despite attempts to leave and legal intervention through a domestic violence order, Bronwyn found herself pulled back into the cycle.

In this episode, we explore:

Bronwyn’s relationship with Ray and how it changed over time

The abuse and control described in court

The events in September 2011 that became a turning point

How fear and desperation contributed to what happened next

The facts discussed in this episode are based on court findings from the 2013 Supreme Court sentencing.

Content warning: This episode contains discussion of domestic violence, abuse, and homicide.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

In early 1998, a small house in Humpty Doo in the Northern Territory became the centre of one of the most intense and well-documented paranormal cases in Australian history.

What started as a few strange incidents quickly escalated into full-blown chaos — stones falling from ceilings, knives flying across rooms, messages appearing on walls, and objects materialising out of nowhere.

Multiple witnesses, including journalists, clergy, and TV crews, all experienced the phenomena firsthand. Even attempts to bless the house seemed to make things worse.

Was it a hoax? Was it something psychological? Or was this a genuine poltergeist case?

In this episode of Territory Famous, we dive deep into the Humpty Doo Poltergeist — a case that still has no clear explanation decades later.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

In this episode of Territory Famous, I’m sharing the story of how a girl from the Gold Coast ended up travelling and working across the Northern Territory as a skimpy barmaid.

Moving from the beaches and nightlife of the Gold Coast to the rugged landscapes of the Top End was a massive culture shock. The Northern Territory is a completely different world – bigger skies, wilder country, remote towns, and a lifestyle that feels a long way from the rest of Australia.

Working as a skimpy barmaid gave me a front-row seat to Territory life and the characters who make the place what it is. But it was also the travelling that stuck with me. Long distances between towns, the heat, the wildlife, and the sense that you were living somewhere truly unique.

Those years exploring the Territory, meeting unforgettable people, and adapting to life in one of Australia’s most remote regions eventually inspired my book, Skimpy: Outrageous True Tales of Crocs, Snakes and Pulling Beers in the Top End.

In this episode I talk about what it was like arriving in the Territory for the first time, the huge differences between life on the Gold Coast and life in the Top End, and how those experiences became some of the most memorable adventures of my life.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to pack up your life, head north, and experience the Northern Territory from the inside, this episode is for you.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

<itunes:title>Crocodile Attacks That Changed the Territory - Part 2: Lanh Van Tran</itunes:title>

In August 2014, two months after the tragic death of Bill Scott, another fatal crocodile attack shook the Northern Territory.

Lanh Van Tran, a 57‑year‑old fisherman, was on the banks of the Adelaide River with his wife, fishing near the Adelaide River Bridge when his line got snagged in the murky water. Believing the snag was caught on a branch, he waded in to free it. That decision was routine — until it wasn’t. Suddenly a large saltwater crocodile launched from the water and seized him. In Vietnamese he cried out, “Oh my God, I’m dead,” moments before he disappeared beneath the surface. His wife heard the scream and saw the croc’s massive tail turning above the water before everything was gone. Rangers later shot and killed the crocodile known locally as Michael Jackson and recovered some of Lanh’s remains from inside it.

Like Bill Scott’s death earlier that year, Lanh’s attack was investigated at a joint coronial inquest in Darwin. The inquest highlighted the dangers of crocodile‑infested waters — not just from unexpected ambushes from behind boats but also from hidden predators waiting near riverbanks. Evidence from both families showed that even experienced fishers and long‑time locals could underestimate the risks.

Coroner Greg Cavanagh used both deaths to call for better community awareness and safety messaging. He told the court that people needed to understand crocodiles don’t just hang at the water’s edge — they lurk beneath it too, and that complacency can be deadly. Signage, education campaigns and clearer warnings became a bigger focus after these attacks, emphasizing that crocodiles can take a person from a riverbank as easily as from open water.

The contrasting circumstances of these two fatal attacks — one from a boat and one from the riverbank — helped shift how authorities framed public safety information. It wasn’t just about where you are, but how you think about crocodile risk. Both deaths underscored that saltwater crocodiles are powerful, ambush predators and that being “crocwise” means respecting them everywhere they live.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

<itunes:title>Crocodile Attacks That Changed the Territory – Part One: Bill Scott</itunes:title>

In June 2014, Bill Scott was on a family fishing trip at a remote billabong in Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory when the day turned into something no one could have imagined. While sitting in a small aluminum boat, Bill reached over the side to fill a bucket with water. In seconds, a large saltwater crocodile surged up from behind the motor, grabbed him and dragged him from the boat and under the surface.

His wife and family were right there. They watched it happen. There was nothing they could do.

Bill’s death is believed to be the first recorded fatality in the Northern Territory where a crocodile took someone from inside a boat. Up until then, much of the public safety messaging focused on swimming or standing at the water’s edge. This attack shattered the assumption that being in a vessel meant you were safe.

A coronial inquest was held in Darwin in 2015, where evidence was heard about crocodile behavior and the risks even experienced locals face. The coroner ultimately recommended clearer public warnings and updated safety messaging to reflect that crocodiles can and do attack people in boats, particularly small, low-sided ones.

Bill was remembered by his family as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved fishing and the Territory lifestyle. Their courage in speaking at the inquest helped spark broader conversations about crocodile awareness and education across the Top End.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

Matt Wright, star of Outback Wrangler, was later charged and ultimately found guilty of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

In this episode of Territory Famous, we walk through what happened on the day of the crash, the investigation that followed, and the court findings that made national headlines. We examine the allegations surrounding helicopter fuel levels and flight records, the legal proceedings, and the broader fallout that unfolded publicly and privately.

Most importantly, we acknowledge the life of Chris “Willow” Wilson and the impact his loss has had on his family, friends, and community.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

On January 5, 1977, Alice Springs witnessed something no one expected — not an accident, not a mechanical failure, but a deliberate act of destruction.

In what became known as the Connellan Air Disaster, Colin Richard Forman stole a Beechcraft Baron aircraft and flew it directly into the Connair complex at Alice Springs Airport. It was a calculated suicide attack, driven by anger and revenge against his former employer.

In this episode of Territory Famous, we break down who Forman was, what led up to that day, and how resentment escalated into an act that killed innocent people and shocked the Territory.

We walk through the timeline of the theft, the flight itself, and the moment the aircraft struck the building. With no formal inquest held, questions linger — but we explore what is known, how authorities established intent, and the lasting impact this act had on the aviation community and the families left behind.

Content Advisory: This episode discusses suicide and violence.

In 2012, Edward Ned Kelly was shot and killed at his home in Broadwater, New South Wales. The man responsible was Jonathan Stenberg.

After the murder, Stenberg went on the run — but what followed was anything but ordinary. While wanted for a brutal killing, Stenberg travelled through Queensland, where he auditioned for a role in the film Mystery Road. He was offered a part, then disappeared before filming began.

His time on the run eventually ended in the Northern Territory, where he was located and arrested by the Tactical Response Group (TRG).

In this episode of Territory Famous, we unpack the murder of Edward Ned Kelly, the violence of the crime, and the extraordinary movements of a man who managed to blend into everyday life — even auditioning for a major Australian film — while evading police.

This is not a typical murder case. It’s a story that spans states, raises serious questions, and ends with one of the Territory’s most high-risk arrests.

Content warning: This episode contains discussions of violence, murder, and confronting material. <itunes:title>Missing in the Outback: The Disappearance of Claire Hockridge & Jason Richards</itunes:title>

The Australian outback is vast, isolated, and unforgiving. A place where distance, heat, and terrain can quickly turn ordinary travel into a life-threatening situation.

In this episode of Territory Famous, we examine two separate disappearances connected by the same remote stretch of the Northern Territory: the Stuart Highway.

In 2020, Claire Hockridge became stranded in extreme desert conditions south of Alice Springs. What initially appeared to be a survival story soon became more complex. As searches were carried out and her final movements were pieced together, information emerged that was not immediately known, details that would later change how the situation was understood.

Years earlier, Jason Richards disappeared in the outback under very different circumstances, yet in an area just as remote. Despite searches and inquiries at the time, questions about what happened to him remain unanswered. As with Claire’s case, important elements of Jason’s story only came to light well after he was last seen.

Using publicly available reports, police statements, coronial findings, and firsthand accounts, this episode carefully reconstructs the timelines, environments, and decisions involved in both cases. It also explores how unseen factors, impaired judgment, and extreme conditions can quietly influence outcomes in remote country.

This is a story about isolation, vulnerability, and how quickly reality can shift in the outback, where help is distant, and not everything is as it first appears.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

On 13 August 1983, people near Uluru went out expecting an ordinary night and instead found themselves caught up in sudden and extreme violence. In a matter of minutes, lives were lost, others were seriously injured, and many people were left trying to process something that made no sense at the time.

In this episode, I go through what led up to that night, how events unfolded, and the court process that followed. I also spend time on what came after, because for many people connected to it, that’s where the real damage sat. <itunes:title>The Disappearance of Paddy Moriarty and the Great Larrimah Meat Pie War</itunes:title>

In this episode of Territory Famous, we examine the disappearance of Paddy Moriarty from the remote Northern Territory town of Larrimah. In December 2017, Paddy Moriarty vanished without a trace from a town of just eleven people, creating one of Australia’s most puzzling and unsettling true crime cases.

Larrimah later became nationally known for the so-called meat pie war — a bitter and long-running feud between locals that divided the town and drew widespread media attention. But beneath the eccentric headlines lies a far more serious question: what really happened to Paddy Moriarty?

Despite extensive police searches, investigations and coronial proceedings, no body has ever been found and no charges have been laid. In a place where everyone knows each other, suspicion, resentment and silence have lingered for years.

This episode explores the relationships, rivalries and isolation that shaped life in Larrimah, and how a petty feud may have masked something far more sinister. Drawing on police statements, court and coronial findings, and verified media reporting, we separate fact from speculation while examining how the Paddy Moriarty case has been portrayed in documentaries and public discussion.

The Disappearance of Paddy Moriarty and the Great Larrimah Meat Pie War is a story about isolation, hostility and unanswered questions — and how, in the harsh Northern Territory heat, the truth can remain buried.

Listen now wherever you get your podcasts.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records

https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

In this episode of Territory Famous, Kellie examines the Adelaide River murders, a lesser-known Northern Territory true crime case from 2004 involving the deaths of two women in the Adelaide River near Darwin.

The case unfolded during a period of intense national media coverage for the Peter Falconio disappearance, and as a result, this investigation received far less attention than it otherwise might have. Despite the circumstances, the Adelaide River murders remain one of the most disturbing true crime cases in the Northern Territory.

This episode explores:

The background of the victims and the events leading up to the murders

The discovery of the bodies in the Adelaide River

The police investigation and forensic findings

False confessions and shifting stories involving bikie gangs and organized crime

The trial, convictions, and sentencing of Phu Ngoc Trinh and Ben William McLean

While crocodiles are often associated with the Adelaide River, this case highlights how misinformation and false narratives complicated an already confronting investigation.

Territory Famous focuses on true crime stories from Australia’s Northern Territory, with an emphasis on cases that are overlooked, misunderstood, or overshadowed by larger national stories.

⚠️ Content warning: This episode discusses murder, violence, and the deaths of two women.

On Christmas Eve 1974, Cyclone Tracy tore through Darwin, destroying most of the city in just a few hours and changing the Northern Territory forever.

In this episode of Territory Famous, I look back at Cyclone Tracy — not just as a powerful storm, but as a defining moment in Territory and Australian history. From the timing and intensity of the cyclone to the scale of destruction left behind, Tracy reshaped Darwin in ways that are still felt today.

This episode covers what happened during the storm, the immediate aftermath, and the mass evacuation that followed. It also looks at how the people of Darwin responded in the days and weeks after Tracy, showing resilience, humor, and mate ship in the face of enormous loss.

Cyclone Tracy remains one of the most significant natural disasters in Australian history — not only for what it destroyed, but for how it changed the Territory and the country.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

YouTube: (1) Territory Famous - YouTube

Resources:

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-12-25/cyclone-tracy-warning-to-aboriginal-people-to-leave-darwin/5987974?utm_source=chatgpt.com

Survivor stories were taken from: Cyclone Tracy – Remembering Cyclone Tracy, fifty years later

Bill Barlow's full account (Red Cross Volunteer): Bill Barlow.pdf

Joy White: Cyclone Tracy: Bagot resident Joy White recalls losing her home in winds and floods - ABC News

Cyclone Tracy - Wikipedia

Documentary: Karla Grant Presents - Blown Away | SBS On Demand

https://iview.abc.net.au/show/tracy-a-force-of-nature/video/NS2439D001S00

Trevor arrived in Darwin in 2005 after giving up his belongings and wandering Australia collecting rubbish. He became known for turning rubbish into sculptures, getting himself listed in the NT News “Most Powerful Territorians” list, and then spending the next decade arguing with councils, churches, politicians, judges, and basically anyone who told him no.

Highlights from this episode:

• His time in Wadeye and why the council and Trevor could never agree on what went down • Getting kicked out of a chaplaincy course and a church for being “disruptive” • Running for Lord Mayor with the slogan “Vote one homeless bum” • Graffitiing the Darwin Magistrates Court in blue paint while wearing judicial robes • The NT Literary Awards incident and one of the funniest courtroom transcripts I’ve ever read • Why Trevor was eventually declared a vexatious litigant

Check out photos of Trevor’s artwork on the Territory Famous socials so you can see what those Blair Witch style sculptures looked like.

Researched and written by: Kellie Arrowsmith

Produced by: Territory Famous

Audio edited by: Bar Brawl Records

Cover art:

Link to 'Skimpy' a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Follow Territory Famous:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561090053520

Instagram: https://www.intagram.com/territoryfamous/

Tik Tok: Territory Famous (@territoryfamous) | TikTok

YouTube: (1) Territory Famous - YouTube

Resources:

Council argument news clip: Rubbish row - YouTube

Kels Gone Bush blog post: https://kelsgonebush.wordpress.com/2012/03/19/trevor-the-rubbish-warrior/

Court transcripts: PARTIES:_–––––

                               NTSC 58 Jenkins v City of Darwin 2 Aug.rtf

Timeline of Trevor's life in the Territory (paywall): Subscribe to NT News

Trevor running for council: 'Rubbish warrior' and disgraced former mayors in running for colourful Top End council elections - ABC News

You would think having a movie written about your life—especially one as wildly successful as Crocodile Dundee—would set you up for life, right? Unfortunately for Rod, that’s not what happened. Rod didn’t get his happy ending. Instead, his story spiraled into a tragic series of events that culminated in the deaths of two men: one died a hero, and the other died a criminal.

Audio editor: Bar Brawl Records https://www.facebook.com/BarBrawlRecords

Cover art: http://www.joshbauer.com/

"Skimpy' - a Territory memoir: Kellie Arrowsmith Books - Hachette Australia

Kel's Gone Bush - Coober Pedy episode: https://open.spotify.com/episode/785ffgRqtUIlsGorXEuT64?si=4JqX74jdSfeNG8FBDocfhg

Resources

Cattle tossing reference: Tomahawks adventure travel and Survival blog: July 2014

Freemasons: Freemasonry - Wikipedia

Coronial inquest Microsoft Word - 102-103

Glen Huitson tributes : Glen Anthony - National Police Memorial

Police Remembrance Day: Remembering Northern Territory Sergeant Glen Huitson - ABC News

Wikipedia with links to multiple sources: Rod Ansell - Wikipedia

Just a quick update—no episode this week.

I'm currently researching and recording a 3-part series on Zak Grieve and his legal battle. The research for this one has taken a lot more time than usual. I would rather hold off on releasing it for a week than rush the job and leave out any information.

(Also, my son’s had COVID this week, so I’ve been busy playing Florence Nightingale—poorly—with a fair bit of whinging from both of us, so that’s slowed things down too.)

I will have part one out next week but, in the meantime, I’ve linked a few of my favorite episodes from my original podcast Kels Gone Bush.

Disclaimer - the audio may be a little rough as back then I was in charge of audio editing, I'm now lucky to have the amazing team at Bar Brawl Records looking after that for me. The stories themselves were (mostly) a lot of fun to research. The tribute to Tony Higgins is part 2 to the Aussie survival stories, and it's a tribute to a tough old bloke who lived life on his own terms, right up until the end.

Aussie survival stories

https://open.spotify.com/episode/6BW77suUuYCVI0l41gpRsp?si=68177f612342496c

Lost at sea- a tribute to Tony Higgins

https://open.spotify.com/episode/443w4yPrMB3BHaLfyFAsfF?si=caff17759603440d

Catch me if you can - the Aussie version

https://open.spotify.com/episode/5f4nz5IAEVH64sOj89WtFf?si=db8599b5ae0943aa

Coober Pedy - Life in the desert

https://open.spotify.com/episode/785ffgRqtUIlsGorXEuT64?si=2f03dd6d4e0f4039

Thanks for being patient—I’ll be back next week with this very important Territory story 🙏😊
