Straight from the Roots is a truth-telling podcast about identity, survival, healing, and the stories we inherit but are rarely taught how to speak.

Hosted by Tree, this podcast begins at the roots, childhood, culture, family, faith, and community, and moves outward into conversations about recovery, relationships, justice, and resilience. Drawing from lived experience, Indigenous perspectives, and real-world insight, each episode offers a teaching point and a moment to pause, breathe, and reflect.

At its core, Straight from the Roots centers Tribal Truths, not just Native stories, but the inherited truths we all carry: the silence in families, the systems that shape us, the pain we survive, and the strength that keeps us going. Some episodes will resonate deeply. Others may challenge you. Not every story is meant for everyone—but every story is told with purpose.

The first season begins with solo episodes that lay the foundation: roots before revelations. As the circle grows, guest voices will be invited, stories meant not to shock, but to connect, to teach, and to remind listeners they are not alone.

This podcast is not about reliving trauma. It’s about understanding it, integrating it, and choosing how we move forward.

You don’t have to tell your story publicly to belong here. You just have to be willing to listen, to yourself.

Bent, not broken. Rooted, not silenced.
