What does it take to be a lifelong student? Why would you do such a thing? We've gotten to the point where the sentiment of, "I just want to finish school" is a common one in the "hyper-educated" echelons of society, and even more so perhaps among the "common folk." Studying is equivalent to stress, and learning is hardly less than synonymous with indoctrination into family, religious, civic, and of course economic/consumer values. It is only by becoming a lifelong learner, a perpetual student of life itself, educated in its literal sense (led forth/out) that we can become truly free of the shackles we own and know as "ourselves."
