The Saturday Sensei's are back after a short break after the flurry of Bowl season, the CFP playoffs, and all-star games. We are back to talk about the 2025 NFL Combine. Who excelled? Who showed out? And who showed up but didn't put out...talk is cheap in our view.

That is a wrap on the inaugural 12-team playoff season and the first season of the Saturday Sense crew coming at you! What a ride it was folks. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekly routine and loved the excitement and unpredictability of the regular season. The playoff lived up to its billing, other than the 2nd Quarterfinal games, with the two best teams in the playoff facing off for the Natty. Thanks to everyone who tagged along for the ride. We are now off to the combine and NFL Draft. And, then, before you know it we will be ready for Week 0!!!

Well, we are here folks! The final game of the 2024-2025 college football season. And, wow, what a season it was. We have two teams who each had one terrible loss in their respective regular seasons. The Irish lost to the Huskies of NIU in week 2 and they were left for dead. Overrated! Frauds! You name it, the Irish were labeled as such. And at the completely other end of the season, the Buckeyes stepped on their own rake as they lost the biggest rivalry game in the country to Michigan. Fire Day! Buckeyes are out of the CFP! Left for dead were the Buckeyes. Both teams have managed to navigate the new playoff format and will square off in their 4th post-season game to battle for the National Championship.

Saturday Sensei - Week 19 - And then there were Four! The Final Four of College Football has arrived.

Well, we are here folks. The Final Four of the college football playoff has arrived. And we have four "blue blood" programs in the Semifinals: Penn State, Ohio State, Texas, and Notre Dame. We break down the Quarterfinals and pick the Semifinal games. The Sensei's postulate on what an expanded college football playoff bracket could look like. A 32-team playoff is doable and would solve a couple chronic issues for the sport: make 16 bowls very legitimate and would ensure all of the "deserving and earned" teams would be in the mix.

Off the heels of an awesome game last Saturday in Landover, MD where the Midshipmen absolutely pounded the Black Knights in America's game, we are screaming into the first FBS College Football Playoff. The excitement starts Friday here in Indiana with the "State Championship" at stake as the Hoosiers take on the Irish up in South Bend. Cold, snowy, and obnoxious will Notre Dame stadium be as Coach Cig and his Hoosiers look to thaw the Irish's 10-game winning streak. We are poised for four great games this weekend and cannot wait for the kick Friday night up in South Bend!

The final regular season episode is a doozy folks. Our longest of the season and rightfully so after one heck of a week in college football. Seven of the Top 20 teams losing this past Saturday setting up the final week of the season to be a barn burner. Conference realignment has brought about one of the best college football seasons in history. And now we are just days away from the final week where at least a half dozen games will have significant playoff implications. We have a 3-way tie in the ACC, the team picked to finish last in the Big 12 (ASU) playing a win and get in game at Arizona, and the SEC teetering on the brink of under delivering to pre-season expectations.

Heading into week 13, we are down to three undefeated teams left with BYU being taken down by Rock Chalk, Jayhawk! Oregon escaped a near upset in Camp Randall while Indiana and Army were on a bye week. The playoff picture continues to change weekly as top teams continue to find a loss or a loss finds them. Making for one of the most exciting seasons we have witnessed in decades.

Wow!!! What a week in college football. Six ranked teams go down with only one losing to a ranked opponent. 5 of the 6 "Goliath's" get taken down by the proverbial "David's". We had some incredible offensive performances last week from the Running Rebels offense led by Jaxson Dart to the Dragons at UAB under Jalen Kitna's leadership and, a real doozy this week, the Univ. of West Georgia's absolute annihilation of the Lincoln University Oaklanders. Finally, we have another jam-packed line up of 19 games for week 11.

Barreling into Week 9 like our boy Jeanty is going to be rolling into the Downtown NYAC in December! Another great show for all of our sensei's and senpai's out there. Kirby and the boys got that "dawg" in them down in Austin as the Georgia defense absolutely dismantled the Longhorns on Sat night. We talk potential coach of the year candidates with a number of great turnaround stories. Finally we get to week 9 picks with a couple HUUUUUUGE games on tap: The Irish head east to try and spoil Navy's bid to remain undefeated, LSU and A&M battle to be the lone undefeated SEC team, and BYU looking to maintain atop the Big 12.

Another thrilling week in college football. Two service academies in the Top 25??? Nearly 100 points and 1100 total combined yards put up by Purdue and Illinois in an OT thriller. On the flip side, Rutgers held to 175 yards in total offense by Wisconsin, and Vandy is the real deal folks! We talk Heisman with only one guy to catch at the moment: My guy Ashton Jeanty! We broke this story in week 2 after he demolished the Ducks D for over 250yds and 3 TDs. Finally, we get to a full slate of games for Week 8. The battle in Austin is the T-shirt pick of the week and we have a CFP knock out game going down in Knoxville as the Dawgs roll into take on the Vols.

The gun for race in the race for the college football playoff went off like a canon in week 1. We saw two significant upsets with both the Commodores and the Eagles swooping into enemy territory and knocking off ranked opponents. We witnessed strong performances from blueblood programs like USC and Notre against ranked opponents. And we saw our share of slow starts by some notable programs like Oregon. However, regardless of how individual teams performed, there is no doubt that conference realignment, NIL, trade portal, and the 12-team play have ushered in a new era which has already proven to be as exhilarating and unpredictable as any point in the history of college football. We are so back!!!

That concludes week 21 of the inaugural season of Saturday Sensei and we have crowned our first 12-team playoff champion as the Ohio State Buckeyes handle their business against Notre Dame.
