<itunes:title>Surrender is NOT Defeat! Episode 10</itunes:title>

Some of you are exhausted because you have been calling control strength and surrender weakness. You keep fighting the same battle in your own power—and the very thing you are trying to control is still controlling you.

That is not strength. That is bondage wearing a crown.

In Episode 10 of Real Talk with Rosie, Rosemary Fisher continues the 12 Steps to Freedom: One Day at a Time series with a powerful truth from Step One: Surrender is not defeat.

Drawing from her recovery journey and 30 years of sobriety, Rosie reveals how control can begin as protection after trauma, rejection, abandonment, or abuse—but eventually become a prison. She shares why admitting powerlessness is not waving a white flag to the enemy. It is choosing to stop fighting alone and surrendering the battle to God.

2 Chronicles 20:12 declares:

“For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”

Whether you are struggling with alcohol, another addiction, fear, pride, an unhealthy relationship, or the need to control another person, this episode will help you understand the difference between surrender and passivity. Surrender does not remove your responsibility—it puts responsibility in the right place.

You may not be able to control the battle, but you can turn your eyes toward Jesus, receive help, establish healthy boundaries, and make the next right choice.

Surrender is not defeat. It is the transfer of trust from your limited power to God’s unlimited power.

Subscribe, share this episode with someone who is tired of fighting alone, and join us for more real questions, real hope, and real transformation through Jesus Christ.

For Rosemary’s books and ministry resources, visit www.rosemaryfisher.com.

#TwelveSteps #SurrenderToGod #ChristianRecovery #StepOne #AddictionRecovery #RealTalkWithRosie

      <itunes:title>Why I am Teaching the 12 Steps Intro</itunes:title>

Series Introduction: Why I Am Teaching the Twelve Steps

Before I ask you to walk through the Twelve Steps with me, you deserve to know who is leading you—and why I believe God has called me to teach this message.

I did not study the Twelve Steps from a safe distance.

I lived them.

I resisted them.

I relapsed while trying to work them.

And eventually, by the grace of God, I allowed their truth to confront the lies that were destroying my life.

In this special introduction to 12 Steps to Freedom: One Day at a Time with Rosie, I share why this series is so personal to me. I am not teaching a theory. I am teaching from lived experience, 30 years of sobriety, decades of recovery, years of biblical study, and a life transformed by Jesus Christ.

The Twelve Steps did not replace Jesus in my life. They exposed the places where I was still trying to live without Him.

The program gave me practical actions, but Jesus gave me new life. Meetings gave me support, but the Holy Spirit transformed my heart. People walked beside me, but only God could reach the broken places within me and expose the lies I had believed since childhood.

This series is about more than sobriety. It is about transformation.

You may never have struggled with alcohol, but perhaps fear, anger, food, gambling, approval, perfectionism, resentment, an unhealthy relationship, or the need to control another person has made your life unmanageable.

Whatever your battle may be, you are not hopeless—and you do not have to fight it alone.

Throughout this series, we will examine the Twelve Steps through personal testimony, biblical truth, and practical application. I am going to tell you the truth. Sometimes that truth may hit hard, but I will always do my best to lace it in love.

My purpose is not to condemn you. My purpose is to help wake you up, expose the lies keeping you trapped, and give you tools to move forward in your own journey of transformation—one truth, one choice, and one surrendered day at a time.

To hear more of my story, visit www.rosemaryfisher.com and watch my testimony as featured on The 700 Club. You will see where God brought me from, what He carried me through, and why I believe no life is too broken for Jesus to transform.

My testimony is not a monument to my strength.

It is evidence of His grace.

Subscribe, share this introduction with someone who needs hope, and join me for 12 Steps to Freedom: One Day at a Time with Rosie.

Real questions.
