Few people like to do chores, but sadly the work must be done. As parents, it's our responsibility to teach our little ones to be self-sufficient and independent and give them all the skills they need to adult. It might not always be an easy task, but it is of the utmost importance. The ways in which we can go about instilling these skills vary and may depend on circumstance and child, but some core aspects can apply across the board.

In Episode 3, we approach the subject of kids and chores. Joined by moms Jen Purdy and Meghan Taylor and mom and psychologist Heidi Edgar, we discuss how and when to implement chores and what to do when receiving pushback from our children. We listen to the experience of three experienced mamas because telling stories is often the best way for us as parents to learn. You may find that you relate to those whose stories you hear, and you can share in the knowledge that, as a parent, you are not alone in your struggle. We are all in this together.

Sleep, the one thing we all need and parents rarely get! So, what can one do to capture even the slights amount of shut eye? For some it comes down to a decision between co-sleeping or not in an effort to avoid waking up more often than necessary. But, making the choice isn't always easy. Both options can lead to very different outcomes depending on the baby and peer, as well as, societal pressure often lead to more difficulty than is necessary.

On Episode 2 we ask the question: Is co-sleeping or not co-sleeping a better option? Joined by Kendall Campbell, Shaylene Woodhouse and Janice Mccallagh an occupational therapist and sleep specialist we discuss the experiences we have had with our own little ones giving insight to what others have done and what options you may have. Being a parent means making choices you may never have had to think about before. Listening to others' experiences is often a way for us to relate or seek knowledge from those who have already gone through the challenges we now face.

Every day, first-time parents plan for the moment they'll meet their new bundle of joy. But with expectations for birth experiences set so high, it is nearly impossible to execute the perfect plan. We're constantly told to plan for everything but are we planning so much that we are setting ourselves up for failure?

Today on our first episode, we dive into birth plans and the often unrealistic expectations we set for our first birth experience. I interview moms Kimberly and Melissa and birth keeper and educator Clara Johnson. Our guests have been through their fair share in birth and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to impart. Listening to birth stories may be hard at times, but knowledge is power, and these stories speak volumes about what birth can look like and what new parents should know before obsessing over their first birth plan.
