But regardless of added later or not, the critics and skeptics miss the fact that the same details of the resurrection are also recorded in the other gospels.

None of this changes the story and miracle of the resurrection and while many miss the moment for many reasons, it is vitally important that the moment is not missed.

For our eternity and our ability live the Christian life hangs in the balance.

Matthew 25:14-30

As Christians, God calls each of us to different tasks in service to Him and the Kingdom of God. We are all different members of one body, and we need each member.

Our Primary purpose in life is to worship God and glorify him in all we do.

In doing so we are to grow in our walk with God and point others to God with our walk and with our words, leading people to the cross for Salvation, and helping them all the things that Christ has taught us.

Our desire must be to do our best in fulfilling the purpose and will of God in our lives, so that like Paul in II Timothy 4:7 - we might be able to say, I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.

And in doing so we will one day hear from our King: Well done good and faithful servant.

When God doesn’t react or respond to your efforts the way you think He will or should, how will you respond?

Genesis 1:24-31; 2:15-24

When considering what resolutions you will make or what direction you will go in 2026, what or who do you consider. In this message from Genesis we see that God has made everything good for the benefit of man. Perhaps as we enter the new year, we should seek God's wisdom as we begin the 2026 journey.

We sing the song, "Mary, Did you Know"

But we often forget to realize that Mary and the others surrounding the birth of Christ, were not so different than us today.

As we share the story of that first Christmas we must ask the question: Christian did you know?

The message delivered regarding the Birth of Christ requires a response from those who hear it.

The shepherds demonstrate for the rest of us a pattern we should all follow when it comes to the Hope and Joy of Christmas.

Once we are saved we are to live the rest of our lives Worshipping and following God and the purposes He has for you life.

Peter shares for attitudes that we are to have in our Christ like mindset, while we are waiting for God to call us home.

This week we focus on verses 8-11 and the attitude of Passionate love we are to have for our fellow believers.

Jesus is coming soon, and the definition of soon, is different for us than it is for God.

No matter how long we have, the fact remains our time is limited.

Peter understood his life was soon coming to an end, because of the prophecy of Jesus regarding his eventual martyrdom.

Because of this awareness, and the understanding that after we turn to Christ, He leaves us here for a purpose before calling us home when our purpose on earth is complete.

Until that time we are to make the most of the time we have.

Peter tells us the mindset and attitude we must have while we are waiting for our time on earth to end.

We live in a world that is confused about the truth. Learning to respond in a Christ like way is key whether it be interacting with a fellow believer or an unbeliever. Peter shares several keys in this part 4, and concluding part of this series.

Learning how to respond to a confused world is key in demonstrating the love of Christ in our daily interactions.

In part 1 of this series we learned that we must be united with a Christ like mind while showing love, compassion, and a tender heart in our response to those that may be confused.

This week we learn that we are also to look to God to lead us avoid responding in similar way that we are treated by a confused world.

In this first part of a mini series we learn from Peter How we as the church are to respond to confusion and confrontation.

Paul explains how God will grant His righteousness through faith in His son Jesus Christ. It will be just as if we never sinned, as Jesus serves as the propitiation for our sin and any and all who believe on Jesus are granted righteousness without any reason to brag. It is a gift of grace that is given to us because of the love of God and no other reason.

We have learned that all mankind is guilty and without excuse.

We have learned that the given law cannot save us.

We have learned just how wretched the mankind is apart from God.

Yet God still loved mankind enough to provide a way for Salvation, and a restored relationship with God

This week's passage begins an explanation of that plan and it focuses on justification through faith in Christ.

What is justification? That is what we Paul begins to explain in this section of Scripture.

The passage shows us the wicked and broken condition of mankind with an an examination from head to foot, inside and out.

But the story is not over, despite how terrible and failing the human condition is, God in His love, mercy and Amazing Grace made a way of salvation and redemption through Jesus Christ.

God's enduring faithfulness is on display and is worthy of our praise.

Despite the lack of faithfulness of His people through the years, God's faithfulness stands in stark contrast and is great enough to overcome the shortcomings of his called servants.

We are to lift up His name and His character because He is Faithful.

Listen as we compare the willingness to serve our nation and pay the price necessary for freedom to the more important need of our willingness to be willing to pay the price of a a sold out Christian for Jesus. The Question is, are you willing?

A stark reminder for the church.

We too like Paul may find reasons to be ashamed, as we are flawed and not always the Christians or church we aught to be.

Regardless we too like Paul must ask God to give us a zeal and readiness to share the Gospel wherever we go.

In this message we share 4 reasons found in this passage, for why we should never be ashamed of the Gospel.

The Christian Constitution, Romans encourages believes with Hope and the truth of being loved by a God who made a way of salvation for those who had no way.

In this introduction we not only talk about the purpose of Romans but share the first several verses where Paul introduces himself and shares his passion for the people at the church in Rome.

In this example we find several actions of Paul that we can mimic today in reaching people for Christ.

But Why does God allow suffering?

Is there a purpose to our suffering and pain?

And if God is real, and powerful, and loving, why does He not do something about it.

Find out in this message of hope and promise.

The Risen Messiah is proof of victory of death, the grave, and sin.

It proves that God accepted the payment of sin made by spotless lamb, Jesus Christ.

We are invited, just as the first arrivers at the tomb were invited, to come and see that the grave is empty.

Jesus is not there, for He arose, just as He said He would.

The Crowds were there were not so different than the crowds that live in the world today. Which group best represents where you are in your relationship to the King?

This week we focus on a message of Vision and Hope as we ask God to bless our church and use us in His plan.

4. God hears our prayers.

And now 5th - While children of God do still sin, We do not keep on Sinning.

and now we add a fourth: God Hears our Prayers.

Last week we shared the first: Jesus is the Son of God.

This week we shared the next two truths in this section of scripture of which there can be no doubt.

There are many issues on which Christians may disagree or debate, but there are issues on which we can know for sure, without a doubt.

All this however is possible only if we have a God given Faith that leads us to victory as maturing Christians.

How do we know what is the actual truth and who to believe?

John tells us in the Word of God how we can know and what the litmus test is for believing what is the actual God given truth.

Now going into the 177th year we invite former pastor Rev. Jim Brooks to bring a timely message of challenge and encouragement to the church as we go forward into the future.

However this week we continue our conversation about a Love that God hates…a love of the world. We are not to love the world because of what the world is, and because of who we are. This week we continue to share another reason why we are not love the world. Because of what the world does.

First was the wrong choice of trying to cover or hide our sin.

Last week, we shared the 1st correct choice of confessing our sin.

This week we conclude this mini-series with the promising hope that we can conquer our sin.

But, the daily reality of sin in our lives is real and must be dealt with consequently.

John shares with us 3 options for dealing with sin our lives in this section of scripture and can be applied to our lives today.

The devil will give us many reasons to avoid answering the call God places on our life.

In the end, the choice comes down to who we believe more; the lies of Satan or the truth of God.

Because once the real life has been revealed to us (by God) and experienced by us (through salvation in Christ) we can’t help but share it with others.

This week we share 2 purposes and benefits for sharing the life we have had revealed to us and that we are experiencing.

But if our hearts our hardened by circumstances that don't meet our desires, we are in danger of a hardened heart.

By His stripes, we are healed.

As the crucifixion of Jesus was the payment of our debt, His resurrection from the dead symbolizes the receipt. The payment was received and accepted by God the Father.

His wrath was satisfied by the sacrifice of the Son!

While many mourned his deaths and what was believed to be the end of the story, the resurrection proves that the entire time...Jesus was on the move.

We must never forget the cost that Jesus paid for the forgiveness of sin.

Jesus Crucifixion also brought about the completion of many aspects of life in the world in which we temporarily live.

Yet in this account we find the response of Jesus and along with it hope for our lives today.

Jesus before he died on the cross and rose again, described the signs of the end of the age, starting with the “Beginning of Sorrows” and ending with His triumphal appearing that all will see.

Before his arrival in the clouds, He describes the Tribulation period as “a time like no other.” Listen as we share from the Word of God just what that time will be like, and the hope and promise of His imminent return.

Last week we began a new mini series: "Keys to Inviting God to Work in Your Life" from the book of Ruth. Key #1 Learn to Live by Faith: We saw Ruth step out on faith in her God as she trusted the instructions He had given Israel for caring for the widows, poor, and foreigners. This week Ruth encounters Boaz in his field and we find that by living out her faith she is looking for mercy and grace and finds it and through her finding grace we find one of the great pictures of grace and redemption that is shown in the Old Testament. A Picture of Christ and the Church!

All these are excellent questions, and all of them have equally excellent answers.

In the story of Rahab we see a picture of Mercy and Grace, protection and provision, of Fantastic Faith, and of the Salvation that would come in the New Testament

We also see an important lesson that Jesus reaches outside of Israel to minister to people that non jews, further redefining the lines of our understanding of What the Mission is in reaching all people.

The Journey for Exodus to the Conquering of Canaan, is best seen as symbolic of our Christian life. The Key to thriving on this journey is to have a properly placed Fear.

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, the final sacrifice that was ever required. He also was the greater teacher of the law, because He as God gave it.

David was a man after God's own heart.

Enoch walked with God.

The disciples were especially chosen, and Peter, James, and John formed an inner circle.

and Moses talked with God face to face as a friend speaks to a friend.

What is it to really know God, and how do we get there.

The key is found in this passage and in this sermon.

There are those that know God on different levels. Are we content with where we are know, or do we truly desire to know God?
