<itunes:title> Who is Farmer Tee? </itunes:title>

Welcome to Episode 1 of the Passing the Hoe Podcast with Farmer Tee 🌱

So… who is Farmer Tee?

I’m a mom, a daughter, a sister, a gardener, a farmer, and a nature lover. But I didn’t always want this life. Growing up, I didn’t want to be outside in the heat, dealing with bugs and hard labor—I wanted the office, AC, and a PC.

But as I got older, I started paying attention. I started reading labels. I started listening. My dad always said, “You have two ears and one mouth for a reason.” And when I finally listened, everything changed.

Where I come from, we may not have had big houses or luxury cars—but we had something better. We passed down knowledge. That’s our wealth. That’s our riches.

Sometimes that knowledge looks like a blooming garden. Sometimes it looks like hard work, sweat, and lessons learned the long way. Sometimes it’s sunshine—and sometimes it’s rain. But all of it matters.

As I started growing my own food, I realized something: a lot of us want to garden or farm, but we don’t know where to start. We spend money on seeds, tools, and supplies—only to feel lost.

I’ve learned so much just by sitting, listening, and talking to other farmers. And I realized… what if we could gather all of that knowledge in one place? What if we could pass it forward?

That’s what this podcast is about.

Whether you’re growing on 1,000 acres, in your backyard, or in a few containers… this podcast is for you.

Whether you’re a seasoned farmer ready to pass knowledge down… or someone just starting out trying to figure it all out… this is for you.

This isn’t about perfection. This is a “this is what I would do” type of space.

As I grew deeper into this lifestyle, I realized I didn’t know as much as I thought—and that’s okay. We learn, we grow, and we share.

Today, I grow a little bit of everything—fruits, vegetables, herbs, and more. My goal is to feed my family 90% from our land and build a food system that creates abundance, not lack.

This podcast is about passing that knowledge forward—just like it was passed to me.

Shoutout to my dad for passing me my first “hoe” and planting that seed in me.

Now it’s our turn to pass it on.

If you’re interested in being a guest or sharing your knowledge, reach out. This space is for tree farmers, backyard growers, container gardeners, homesteaders, and everyone in between.

Let’s plant these seeds so the next generation can grow something even greater.

— Farmer Tee
