On May 5th, 2023, Madoka Kikuta defeats Shun Skywalker for the Open the Dream Gate Championship and closes Dragongate's annual Dead or Alive show with a promo that will change the landscape of the promotion forever. September 16th, 2024 marks 500 days since the company announced its six Reiwa Generation leaders, and in a special episode of Paradise Vibes, Antony and Eden take the opportunity to dive into everything that has come out of their crowning since.

From the Reiwa Six tag match on the May 2023 Korakuen, through King of Gate, Rey de Parejas and everywhere in between, we examine the six men chosen to lead Dragongate into a new age, the challenges they have met along the way, and the ways these past 500 days have set up everything that awaits in the company's future.

Episode 11 - Catchup & September Korakuen!

We're back! After a very busy August away from the podcast, Antony and Eden kick the episode off by taking stock of the key moments from Dangerous Gate before quick notes on Prime Zone and the Gate of Miyane. From there, it's all about September's Korakuen, one of the best top-to-bottom shows held in the building in years.

There are long dissections of Homare Kato's explosive debut, the latest turmoil between Gold Class and Z=Brats, and all the fallout from another engrossing Yamato Dream Gate defence. Everything happens so much.

Antony and Eden are back for the review of reviews as we digest everything from the weekend of Dragongate's Kobe Pro-Wrestling Festival 2024! The main attraction is of course, up first with a full run-down of the fashion on display at Saturday's pre-show press conference and fan meet (04:29).

After that, it's just the small matter of Kobe World itself (19:31). Of course, it wouldn't be a Paradise Vibes episodes without lengthy digressions into what the future holds for Kota Minoura, the Open the Dream Gate Championship, Ryu Fuda and Dragongate as a whole. Also, we finally dig into the origins and mythology of Muted for Copyright Reasons Bingo. It's a stacked one.

Episode 8 - Buyuden Vol. 5 and the Kobe World Preview!

It's officially the biggest weekend in the Dragongate year, as the company's flagship event takes place on Sunday in Kobe. Antony and Eden are back to run down what the week has had in store so far, and everything still to come. It begins with a match-by-match analysis of Wednesday's Buyuden Zero show at Shinjuku FACE (03:18), also featuring a deep-ish dive into what awaits Luis Mante in NOAH's 2024 N-1 Victory tournament.

After that, it's all about The Big One. 2024's Kobe Pro-Wrestling Festival is now barely 24 hours away and there's a full dissection of every match on the card (44:02),, with (paradise) vibe checks on what the immediate future might hold for titles, units and wrestlers along the way.

Episode 7 - July Korakuen

Antony and Eden return from the wrestling Hinterland just in time for Kobe World with a rundown of the key moments coming out of the July 5th Korakuen show, highlighted by the father-son showdown between Masaaki Mochizuki and Mochizuki Jr. There's also in-depth discussion of the new Gold Class landscape, Yuki Yoshioka's first appearance for over half a year and at least one mention of 2023 visual novel Goodbye Volcano High. Episode 6 - June Korakuen Double Header

Antony and Eden return with a belated episode covering the Kobe and Korakeun shows that kicked off a pretty quiet June for Dragongate. Starting with the June 2nd Kobe show (02:00) featuring the in-ring return of Yosuke Santa Maria and debut of Kung Fu Masters 2, before really digging into the back-to-back shows at Korakuen Hall.

A full run-through of the first night (09:55) features takes on the debuting El Cucuy, returning La Estrella and a fantastic Dream Gate main event, as well as discussions on where Luis Mante and Ben-K go from here. Night two's coverage (01:05:53) includes discussions about where Mochizuki Jr, Kota Minoura, Yamato and more might go in the months ahead. All of it was recorded over a week prior to posting, so pretend you've just hopped back in time slightly, and enjoy!
