While on staff at SCDHS Dr. Koslap-Petraco managed the immunization and lead programs and provided education to staff and the public on various communicable diseases and assisted in the management of communicable diseases. She is a member of the ad hoc advisory board of the New York State Get Smart safe use of antibiotics campaign, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Ad Hoc Nurse advisory group, a nurse consultant for the Immunization Action Coalition, and chair of the scientific advisory board of Vaccinate Your Family-The Next Generation of Every Child by Two. Dr. Koslap-Petraco speaks on immunizations and infectious diseases nationally and internationally and has authored numerous articles and written chapters in four textbooks. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
