Okay, now hear me out…

I don’t have life figured out, but baby, I’ve taken some notes.

Now, Hear Me Out is where I talk about life as I’m actually living it — motherhood, faith, career, school, relationships, starting over, becoming and all the random lessons in between.

Some episodes might get deep. Some might be funny. Some might just start with, “Okay, so boom…” But every conversation is real.

No perfect answers. No pretending I have it all together. Just life, perspective and the things that make a little more sense when you say them out loud.

Now, hear me out.

I’ve always known I was smart, but there were plenty of moments when my academic record told a very different story. I’ve been rejected from programs, watched my GPA drop to a 1.8, repeated classes, and talked myself out of opportunities because I didn’t think I was competitive enough to even try. Now, I’m preparing to walk into my first doctoral residency at Creighton University.

In this episode, I’m taking it all the way back—from nursing school and joining the military to finishing my master’s, watching God make a way when I couldn’t see one, and eventually finding myself applying to a school I was convinced wouldn’t accept me.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t getting into the room. It’s letting go of all the old evidence you’ve collected to convince yourself you don’t belong there.

So, what are you still using as evidence that you don’t belong in a room you’ve already earned the right to walk into?
