The centre was officially inaugurated by the late Cardinal Ivan Dias on 25th April 2002. The centre imparts various training programs particularly for the Laity, conducts retreats, formation programs, liturgical seminars, youth apostolic and marriage preparation courses in Marathi regularly. The basic Word Ministry course in Marathi, Bible diary (daily scripture readings and reflection), faith formation programs, bible quiz and other training activities are also initiated by the center. The institution also offers other programme like Open school for the drop outs, Summer Music class, Senior citizens meeting, prayer service and health awareness programme
