<itunes:title>🚨 HIGH WIND WATCH - Massachusetts Weather 3/14 - Evening</itunes:title>

Good evening. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Talk about a tale of two states today. Down along the coast, you're soaking up a seasonable 47 degrees — right where we should be. But head inland toward Worcester and the Berkshires? It’s a different world. You're stuck in the mid-20s with a biting wind that cuts right through your jacket.

As the sun sets. Clear skies tonight mean temperatures nosedive, eastern Massachusetts bottoms out at 32 degrees by 4 A.M. Central MA dips to 27, the Berkshires will be the cold spot, falling to 26. It’ll feel like the teens across the interior, so grab that extra layer if you're heading out early.

Sunday offers a quiet reset, partly sunny skies take over statewide, with highs reaching the mid-40s everywhere. It’s a decent day to get outside before things get interesting.

And change they will, a powerful low-pressure system targets New England for Monday. Rain arrives after 1 A.M. Sunday night, monday turns raw and wet, with rain and possibly thunderstorms. Temperatures surge to near 60 degrees in the east.

Moving on. Here’s the dangerous part, a High Wind Watch is in effect for the coast. We could see damaging wind gusts up to 60 miles an hour Monday night. Heavy rain could lead to street flooding in the usual spots.

Temperature-wise. The storm exits early Tuesday, we clear out but turn much colder. Highs crash into the 40s. Tuesday night brings a hard freeze, with lows in the teens and 20s. Wednesday stays sunny and chilly near 39 degrees, before we slowly moderate back to the upper 40s by Friday.

As the sun sets. Keep those trash cans secured tonight. —

See you tomorrow.

Good afternoon. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside right now and you'll feel something that has no business happening in early March. We're talking mid-60s sunshine. Twenty degrees above normal. Your daffodils are confused. And honestly, so am I.

Western Massachusetts leads the charge today, topping out near 66 degrees around 4 P.M. Central areas hit 64. The coast settles around 65, though sea breezes keep Cape Cod and the Islands a touch cooler. Southwest winds stay gentle at 6 to 10 miles an hour, with occasional gusts to 22. It's the kind of day where you leave your jacket in the car and don't regret it.

Tonight stays mild under clear skies. Western Massachusetts drops to the low 30s with patchy fog after 1 A.M. Eastern and central areas hang in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Tuesday cranks the heat even higher. We're talking near record warmth — upper 60s to low 70s. Western Massachusetts could hit 71 degrees. In March. Morning fog burns off quickly inland, though the coast stays hazy longer.

Wednesday reality checks us. Clouds roll in with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Rain develops after 9 A.M, mainly inland. Thursday brings widespread rain as a cold front sweeps through. Highs in the mid-50s with gusty west winds. That rain transitions to snow Thursday night in higher terrain as temperatures crash.

Friday? Back to actual March weather. Highs only in the low to mid-40s with scattered rain and snow showers, especially in the hills.

Enjoy this warm spell while it lasts. The weather's about to remember what month it's.

See you this evening.

Good morning. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside and you'll feel that mild 50 degrees hanging in the air. We're running 24 degrees warmer than usual for early March — spring is flexing.

A few patchy showers wrapped up earlier this morning. Now we're watching clouds gradually clear through the afternoon. Highs climb to the mid to upper 50s statewide. Boston tops out near 56 degrees. Worcester and Springfield push to 57 and 58. Southwest winds shift westward around noon, settling to a gentle 6 to 10 miles an hour.

Tonight brings mostly clear skies. Lows drop to the mid-30s inland while the coast holds around 40 degrees. Light southwest winds keep things calm.

Monday delivers wall-to-wall sunshine and a serious warm-up. Highs surge into the mid-60s — 63 in Worcester, 64 in Springfield, 65 in Boston. Southwest winds gust to 23 miles an hour. Perfect weather for a lunchtime walk if you ask me.

Tuesday keeps the warmth rolling with sunny skies and mid-60s again. Some interior valleys could flirt with 70 degrees — that's 20 to 25 degrees above normal. Wednesday turns unsettled with clouds building and rain developing. Highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Then Thursday brings the plot twist. Widespread rain moves in, possibly heavy at times, before a cold front crashes through. Rain could mix with snow in higher terrain as temperatures plummet. Thursday night drops to the mid-20s with gusty west winds. Friday starts partly sunny with highs in the low to mid-40s.

Enjoy the mild weather while it lasts. Spring teased us, winter's coming back for an encore.

See you this afternoon.

      <itunes:title>Massachusetts Weather 3/7 Morning - Foggy Feel, Fast Warm-Up</itunes:title>

Good morning. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside this morning and you'll feel that classic early March tease: 36 degrees under gray skies. But don't worry, folks, the sun is trying to break through. Today's high hits 50 degrees — that's 23 degrees warmer than usual for early March. It's just the opening act for a weekend warmup that feels like spring is knocking on the door.

Eastern Massachusetts starts with some patchy fog, but that clears up by 11 A.M. You'll climb to near 49 this afternoon. Don't get too comfortable, though. Tonight brings a after 9 P.M. The wild part? Temperatures rise overnight into the low 50s. You'll actually wake up warmer than you went to bed.

Central Massachusetts sees the same fog lifting by midday. Your rain chances creep in a little earlier, starting around 8 P.M. Highs hit 50 today, mirroring the coast. Overnight lows climb into the 50s as well. Just watch for winds picking up, gusting to 25 miles an hour by midnight.

Western Massachusetts, you've a slightly different story. While the rest of the state flirts with spring, you're dealing with fog that lingers until 2 P.M. Rain arrives by 8 P.M., but you only top out at 48 today. Tonight, you catch up to everyone else. Temps jump to near 50 by dawn, with rain likely until 5 A.M.

Looking ahead. Sunday is the winner. Highs statewide reach the 60s. But hold that thought. A backdoor cold front slams the brakes on spring fever by Thursday, bringing rain or even a wintry mix. We're also watching river levels as the snowmelt accelerates.

On this day in 2018, a nor'easter roared through with 80-mile-an-hour gusts. Today? Just a gentle reminder that March in Massachusetts is always a wildcard. Enjoy the mild air while it lasts.

See you this afternoon.

Good morning. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Winter just tapped you on the shoulder this morning. We picked up an inch and a half of snow overnight. And right now it's still falling across parts of the state. Spring's two weeks away, but winter's not reading the calendar.

Here's the split personality we're dealing with. Boston sits at 33 degrees with heavy snow tapering off by mid-morning — but that snow's already mixing with rain and drizzle along the coast. Drive inland to Worcester and you hit 30 degrees with freezing rain and sleet coating everything. The Berkshires? They saw freezing rain overnight but are shifting to mostly rain by mid-morning at 32 degrees. If you're commuting right now, take it slow. Black ice doesn't announce itself.

Today stays raw. Highs struggle to reach the mid-30s statewide — that's 30 degrees below normal for early March. Eastern Mass tops out at 35. Central Mass hits 32, the Berkshires reach 34. Northeast winds gust to 25 miles an hour along the coast, so that 35 degrees will feel more like 25. Patchy fog develops this afternoon as precipitation winds down.

Tonight, lows settle around 31 to 33 degrees. Fog persists with light drizzle possible.

Saturday brings relief — clouds linger but temps rebound to the mid-40s as winds flip southwest. Showers arrive Saturday night into early Sunday.

Sunday clears with highs in the mid-50s. Monday and Tuesday turn unseasonably mild — upper 50s to mid-60s, well above normal. A cold front brings showers Wednesday into Thursday, then cooler air returns.

Charge your phone and give yourself extra time this morning. Roads are slick.

See you tomorrow.

Good evening. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

We've a messy night ahead. A classic March battle.

Eastern Massachusetts, you're seeing rain turn to sleet this evening. Expect that to change over to snow after midnight. You could see 2 to 4 inches of accumulation before it tapers off Friday morning. Temperatures hover right at the freezing mark, 32 degrees. It feels like 30 degrees with the wind.

In Central Massachusetts, the concern is ice. Freezing rain develops between 7 and 9 P.M. This creates a glaze on untreated surfaces. Sleet mixes in overnight. Your low drops to 30 degrees. Friday brings a high of just 36 degrees.

Western Massachusetts sees rain first. It transitions to freezing rain and sleet after midnight. The ground is colder there, so watch for icy spots late. Low temperatures stay near 31 degrees. Friday afternoon reaches a high of 39 degrees under cloudy skies.

Saturday looks mostly cloudy but milder. Highs reach the mid-40s. Rain showers are likely Saturday night.

Sunday brings a mix of sun and clouds. Highs climb to 55 degrees.

Here's your heads-up for the week ahead.

Monday looks sunny and pleasant. Highs near 59.

Tuesday is even warmer. Most areas see the low 60s.

Wednesday offers a chance of showers with a high near 61.

See you tomorrow.

Good afternoon. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That mild 40 degrees you're feeling right now? Enjoy it. Because at 5 P.M., a Winter Weather Advisory kicks in and things get messy.

In the next 24 hours. Rain spreads across the state this afternoon. Western Massachusetts and Worcester already seeing it. Eastern areas, you're next — expect rain by early evening. Highs stay stuck near 39 degrees. That's 30 degrees colder than normal for early March.

Tonight's when it gets interesting. Rain flips to sleet and freezing rain north of the Mass Pike. The Worcester Hills and Berkshires could see a quarter inch of ice coating trees and power lines. That's the kind of ice that snaps branches and kills power. Eastern Massachusetts picks up 1 to 2 inches of sleet and snow by sunrise. Lows dip to the low 30s statewide.

Friday stays gloomy. More sleet and freezing rain in the morning, especially north of I-90. By afternoon it tapers to drizzle. Highs barely crack 34 degrees. If you're commuting north of the Pike Friday morning? Leave early. Roads will be slick.

But here's the plot twist. Saturday flips the script. Highs near 50 degrees. Sunday climbs to 54. Monday hits 57 with sun breaking through. And Tuesday? Mid-60s. That's a 25-degree jump from today. Winter's throwing one last tantrum before spring takes over.

In Full moon rises tonight. Sunrise tomorrow at 6, 14 A.M., sunset at 5:39 P.M. We're gaining almost 3 minutes of daylight each day now.

Keep the ice scraper handy tonight. You'll need it.

Good morning. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That gray ceiling above you? It's hiding something nasty. Temperatures are sitting at 31 degrees right now, which means any wet pavement from yesterday has turned to black ice. Watch your footing.

In the next 24 hours. Rain rolls in from west to east today. The Berkshires get wet by late morning. Worcester sees it around noon. Boston waits until early afternoon. Highs only reach 37 to 39 degrees — about 21 degrees colder than normal for early March.

Tonight's where things get messy. That rain flips to sleet and freezing rain across the state. A Winter Weather Advisory kicks in at 5 P.M. For the Berkshires and areas north of I-90. Central and western Massachusetts could see one to two inches of sleet piling up. Eastern areas get a mix that'll coat everything it touches. Lows hover right at freezing.

Friday morning's commute looks rough, especially north and west of Boston. Sleet and freezing rain stick around through midday before fading to drizzle. Highs struggle to the mid-30s.

But here's the good news. High pressure marches in this weekend. Saturday climbs near 50. Sunday pushes mid-50s. And by Tuesday? We're talking mid-60s — a full 20 degrees above normal. Spring is knocking loud next week.

Tonight's full moon rises at sunset. You won't see it through the clouds, but it's up there.

In Today's highs, 37 in Boston, 39 in Worcester, 39 in Pittsfield. Tonight's lows: 33 east, 30 central, 32 west.

Good evening. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That inch of snow yesterday? Already a memory. We're sitting at 51 degrees right now. And today shapes up as the last quiet day before things get interesting.

In the next 24 hours. Eastern Massachusetts enjoys mostly sunny skies with a high near 49 degrees. Head inland and temperatures drop fast. Central Massachusetts sits at 29 degrees this morning, with patchy fog developing overnight. Out in Western Massachusetts, it's a chilly 21 degrees with freezing fog possible by morning.

Tonight brings a Full Moon under mostly cloudy skies. Lows dip to 31 in the east, 29 in central areas. And 21 in the west. Watch for black ice Thursday morning.

Thursday is the day to watch. Rain arrives by midday. Then the atmosphere pulls a classic March trick. Temperatures fall through the 30s as cold air drains south. And that rain changes to freezing rain, sleet. And even some snow. A Winter Weather Advisory runs from 5 P.M. Thursday through noon Friday. Ice accumulations up to a quarter-inch possible in the higher terrain. Travel gets slippery Thursday evening.

Friday stays gray and raw with highs only in the low 30s.

But here's the twist. Saturday kicks off a remarkable warm-up. Highs climb to 52 degrees. Sunday reaches 53. Monday? Near 60. And Tuesday could hit 63 degrees — that's nearly 20 degrees above normal for early March.

Spring equinox is just two weeks away. And next week will certainly feel like it.

In Today, high 49, mostly sunny east. Tonight: Low 31, patchy fog. Thursday: High 39, wintry mix developing. Friday: High 34, lingering mix. Saturday: High 52, mostly cloudy.

Good afternoon. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That inch and a half of snow from yesterday? It's basically a memory now. We're sitting at 54 degrees — running about 23 degrees warmer than usual for early March. Step outside and you'll feel that spring tease in the air. But enjoy the quiet. Because tomorrow is a different story.

In the next 24 hours. Here's how the rest of the day shapes up. Eastern Massachusetts holds onto sunshine with a high near 49. Central areas climb a touch further to 51. Out in the Berkshires, you'll see 47 with just a few clouds drifting by.

Tonight brings a quick cool-down. Eastern areas settle back to 31. Central Massachusetts dips to 29. And you'll want to watch for patchy fog developing after 3 A.M. The Berkshires get the chilliest drop down to 23, with fog rolling in late.

Thursday is when things get slippery. Rain arrives in the afternoon, then crashes into cold air to become sleet and freezing rain Thursday night. Central and Western Massachusetts could see up to a quarter inch of ice glazing everything. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 5 P.M. Thursday through noon Friday. Roads will turn into ice rinks fast.

Friday stays raw and cold. Highs only reach the low to mid 30s. Lingering drizzle could keep the morning commute hazardous.

But here's the plot twist — the weekend flips the script completely. Saturday rebounds into the low 50s. Sunday hits the mid 50s. By Tuesday, we're looking at 63 to 65 degrees under sunny skies. That's nearly 20 degrees above normal.

Keep an eye on the full moon rising at sunset tonight. You'll catch it glowing through the clouds before the fog rolls in.

Good afternoon. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That inch and a half of snow yesterday? Already feeling like a distant memory. We're sitting at 45 degrees right now with sunshine breaking through, the kind of day that tricks you into thinking winter's packed its bags.

In the next 24 hours. Central Massachusetts is leading the warmth charge with a high near 51 degrees. Eastern Massachusetts follows close behind at 49. Head west and the thermometer eases back a bit, but The Berkshires are still basking in a respectable 47 degrees.

Tonight brings a quick reality check. The mercury drops fast after sunset. Western Massachusetts plunges to 23 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Central areas bottom out around 29. The coast stays milder near 31. Keep an eye out for patchy fog developing late, especially in the valleys.

Tomorrow. Winter reminds us it's not quite finished. A Winter Weather Advisory kicks in at 5 P.M. Thursday for areas along and north of the Mass Pike. Rain arrives Thursday afternoon, then transitions to a messy mix of sleet and freezing rain Thursday night. We could see up to a quarter inch of ice in spots. That makes for a tricky Friday morning commute, so you'll want to plan ahead.

Friday stays gray and cold with highs only in the mid-30s. But here's the plot twist: Saturday rebounds to the low 50s. Then Monday and Tuesday? We're talking highs near 60 degrees. Some spots could even touch the mid-60s by Tuesday. That's nearly 20 degrees above normal for early March.

The spring equinox is just 16 days away. And next week will certainly feel like it's already arrived. Get out there and enjoy the sunshine today — we're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight. And there's a full moon tonight to top it off.

Good morning. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That inch and a half of snow overnight left a slick surprise. Watch your step this morning, because hidden black ice is coating untreated surfaces. This is especially true west of Interstate 495, where temperatures dipped into the upper 20s. Take it slow on the driveways and side streets.

In the next 24 hours. But here's the good news. The sun breaks through by mid-morning. Eastern Massachusetts climbs to 49 degrees this afternoon. Central areas reach 51. Out in the Berkshires, fog lingers until about 10 A.M. Before partly sunny skies take over with a high near 47. That's about 22 degrees warmer than normal for early March.

Tonight turns clear and cold. Lows drop to 31 in the east, 29 in central areas. And a chilly 22 degrees out west. Patchy fog may redevelop late.

Thursday starts dry, but rain arrives by afternoon. Here's where it gets interesting. Thursday night into Friday, another round of freezing rain mixes in, especially along and north of the Mass Pike. That could make for a tricky Friday morning commute.

The weekend brings relief. Saturday hits the low 50s. Sunday reaches 53. And next week? We're talking 60s by Tuesday. Spring is knocking on the door — just two weeks until the equinox.

In Sunrise at 6, 16 A.M., sunset at 5:38 P.M. We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight each day now. Tonight's full moon should shine bright once those clouds clear out.

Good evening. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That inch and a half of snow we saw yesterday? It's turning into a real headache overnight. Freezing rain is falling across much of the state right now, creating a glaze of ice on top of that fresh powder. The Berkshires are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 5 A.M. If you're east of Worcester, expect the steadiest precipitation between 1 and 3 A.M. It's a crisp 31 degrees in Boston, 29 in Worcester. And a biting 26 out in the Berkshires.

In the next 24 hours. In Here's good news, the wintry mix tapers off by daybreak. But you'll want to watch for black ice on your morning commute. Fog will likely linger in the valleys until around 9 A.M. After that, the sun breaks through and you'll see a nice warm-up. Highs range from 47 to 51 degrees across the state — about 22 degrees above normal for early March. That's a sweet spot for March.

Tonight stays dry under partly cloudy skies. Lows dip to 31 along the coast and 22 in western Massachusetts. Fog may redevelop late, so keep that in mind if you're out late.

Thursday brings our next system. Rain arrives by late morning. But here's the twist: cold air surges south Thursday night. Rain mixes with sleet and freezing rain north of the Mass Pike. That could create slick roads Thursday evening into Friday morning. Friday looks raw and chilly with highs only in the upper 30s.

But hang in there, folks. A major pattern change arrives this weekend. Saturday and Sunday bring highs in the mid 50s. Monday hits 58 degrees. Tuesday could reach 63. Spring is knocking on the door.

Set your alarm a few minutes early tomorrow to deal with the fog. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves.

      <itunes:title>Massachusetts Weather March 3 Midday - 26° Above Normal</itunes:title>

Good afternoon. Massachusetts. I'm Jack O'Malley.

Folks, that snow falling outside your window right now? It's about to pull a fast one on you. A Winter Weather Advisory runs statewide until 5 A.M. Wednesday. And the real danger isn't the snow. It's what comes next.

In the next 24 hours. Here's what's going on up in the atmosphere. A low pressure system is shoving warm air overhead while cold air stays locked at the surface. That collision is a recipe for freezing rain. We've already picked up seven tenths of an inch of snow. Around 7 P.M., everything flips to freezing rain. Then plain rain overnight.

Out in the Berkshires, you're sitting at 26 degrees. That's where ice accumulation gets serious. Cover those steps. Salt those walkways. Push east toward Worcester and you're at 29 degrees. Still slick territory. Boston and the coast hover right at 32 degrees. That razor's edge between ice and just wet.

Wednesday morning brings patchy fog, then sunshine muscles through. Highs climb into the upper 40s east, low 50s central. About 26 degrees above normal. Your reward for surviving tonight.

But Thursday throws another curveball. Rain arrives, then cold air sneaks south Thursday night. North of the Mass Pike, that rain changes to sleet and freezing rain. Again. Friday feels raw. Highs stuck in the mid 30s.

Now the plot twist worth waiting for. Southwest flow arrives this weekend. Saturday hits the low 50s. Sunday pushes near 60. By early next week, some spots could touch 63 degrees. That kind of warmth melts snowpack fast, so keep an eye on low lying areas near streams.

One last thing. Tonight's full moon rises at sunset. If those clouds crack open even briefly, it'll turn that icy landscape into something gorgeous. Worth a glance out the window.

Charge your phone tonight and keep a flashlight handy. Ice and power lines don't play nice together.

For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves.

Good evening. Massachusetts. I'm Jack O'Malley.

That heavy snow you heard this morning? Just the opening act. We picked up about seven-tenths of an inch overnight. And after a bitter low of 26 degrees, we're sitting at 29 degrees with freezing rain moving in.

In the next 24 hours. Here's the breakdown across the state. Western Massachusetts is in the thick of it. Freezing rain continues through the night with temperatures holding at 26 degrees. Ice accumulation up to half an inch is possible in the Berkshires, so a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 5 A.M. Wednesday.

Central Massachusetts sits at 29 degrees. You'll see freezing rain transition to plain rain by early morning. Eastern Massachusetts hovers right at the freezing mark at 32 degrees. Freezing rain before 7 P.M. Switches over to rain overnight.

Travel tonight will be tricky. Untreated surfaces are turning icy, especially inland, so take it slow.

But here's the good news. Wednesday brings a complete turnaround. Morning fog burns off and sunshine takes over. Highs reach 46 degrees in Boston, 51 in Worcester. And 49 in the Berkshires. That's about 26 degrees above normal for early March.

Thursday starts with rain, but here's the twist. Cold air surges south Thursday night, changing that rain to sleet and freezing rain north of the Mass Pike. Friday stays raw with highs stuck in the mid-30s.

Then the pattern flips. Saturday and Sunday bring highs in the mid-50s to near 60 degrees. That standing snow? It will melt fast.

Tonight's full moon will be playing hide-and-seek behind the clouds. Sunrise is at 6:18 A.M., with sunset at 5:37 P.M. We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight.

If you're heading out, grab your heavy coat. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves.

Take care

Good morning. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That clear sky and biting 29 degrees-degree chill? Enjoy the quiet. Because a storm is knocking on the door. A system approaching from the west is about to crash into the cold air locked over New England. That collision sets the stage for a messy day.

In the next 24 hours. Snow arrives late morning and spreads northeast. Western Massachusetts sees flakes by 10 A.M. Central areas catch them around 11. Eastern Massachusetts gets in on the action by noon. The action peaks around 4 P.M. — right during your drive home. Expect a coating to 2 inches statewide, but the timing is the real trouble.

Here's where it gets tricky. Warmer air pushes in tonight. That snow changes to rain along the coast. But inland? You stay cold enough for freezing rain overnight. Untreated roads turn into ice rinks as lows hover right around freezing.

Wednesday brings a complete reset. Watch for morning fog and black ice, then sunshine breaks through. Highs surge into the low 50s. Some spots hit 55 degrees. That's a massive 29 degrees-degree jump from today's high of 34.

Thursday stays mild near 45 with rain likely. Another wintry mix threatens Thursday night into Friday. Then we see a real pattern shift. Highs climb to the mid-50s this weekend. By Monday? We could be looking at low 60s.

Today's high of 34 is 29 degrees below normal, but spring is knocking. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight each day now. The spring equinox is just two weeks away.

Good evening. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That crisp 22 degrees on your thermometer this morning? That's modified Arctic air sitting over New England like a heavy blanket. Clear skies overnight let the heat escape. and we bottomed out at 18 degrees. but here's the thing. This cold is retreating. and a warm front is marching north to replace it.

In the next 24 hours. The problem is what happens when those two air masses collide. That warm front lifts north tomorrow. and precipitation falling into our lingering cold air means business. We're looking at a wintry mix statewide Tuesday afternoon and evening.

The Winter Weather Advisory kicks in at noon Tuesday and runs through Wednesday morning. Here's the setup. Western Massachusetts sees snow starting around 10 A.M., transitioning to freezing rain by evening. Central Massachusetts gets going by 11 A.M. With snow and sleet. Eastern Massachusetts starts around noon with wet snow that flips to rain by late afternoon.

Accumulations stay modest. Up to an inch of snow and sleet, plus a light glaze of ice. but even a little ice makes roads treacherous, especially for the Tuesday evening commute.

Wednesday brings redemption. Sunshine returns, highs climb into the low 50s. and it'll feel like a different season entirely.

Thursday night into Friday, another system could bring more wintry mix. but then. A pattern shift. Southwest flow this weekend pushes temperatures into the 50s Saturday and near 60 degrees Sunday and Monday. Spring is flexing, even if winter gets one more swing first.

Tonight's lows drop to 18 degrees in Boston, 14 in Worcester. and a bitter 9 degrees out in the Berkshires. Tomorrow's highs reach 39 degrees east, 37 central, 36 west.

If your Tuesday commute involves bridges or overpasses, give yourself extra time. That ice catches a lot of good drivers off guard.

That sunshine outside? It's a bit of a trick. We're sitting at 27 degrees right now. and believe it or not, we aren't moving much from there. Highs today stall out in the upper 20s—about 9 degrees colder than usual. A dome of Arctic air is parked right over us, keeping things crisp.

In the next 24 hours. But don't get too comfortable. Change is already brewing to our south.

Tonight stays clear and frigid. Eastern Massachusetts drops to 15 degrees. Central areas fall to 14. and out in the Berkshires? You're shivering at 9 degrees.

Tuesday brings the first round of action. That warm front to our south lifts northward, bringing snow with it. Western Massachusetts sees flakes start flying around 10 A.M. Central areas join in by 11 A.M. and here in the east, you'll spot snow around 2 P.M.

Now for the messy part. The interior faces a tricky transition. Snow changes to freezing rain, leaving a light glaze on untreated surfaces. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from noon Tuesday through Wednesday morning. The Tuesday evening commute looks slippery west of I-9, so take it slow.

Boston and the coast catch a break. You'll see a quick shot of wet snow, then a switch to plain rain.

Wednesday is your redemption day. Sunshine returns. and highs shoot into the upper 40s to low 50s. It'll feel like a different season.

Thursday night into Friday could bring another wintry mix. but the weekend is where it gets interesting. Southwest flow takes over. Saturday hits the low 50s. Sunday could reach 60 degrees. Spring is knocking.

Good morning. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That wind hitting your face right now? That's Canada saying hello. A massive high pressure system, 1040 millibars, slid straight down from the Arctic overnight and parked itself on top of us. We're seventeen degrees below normal. This isn't early March weather. This is January pretending it still has a lease.

In the next 24 hours. Step outside right now and you'll feel it. Eastern Massachusetts sits at 5 degrees. Wind chills near minus 6 around 6 A.M. Head west toward Worcester or Springfield and it's even worse. Three degrees. Feels like 5 to 7 below zero. The kind of cold where your nostrils stick together on the first breath.

Now here's the trick today. Brilliant sunshine all day long. That March sun angle is strong enough to fool your eyes. but the air mass is just too dense and cold to budge. Eastern Mass tops out at 26 degrees. Central hits 27. Western Mass reaches 29. Sunshine without warmth. Like a fireplace on a screensaver.

Tonight stays clear and bitter. Lows drop to 7 degrees in the east, 9 central, 5 out west under that gorgeous waxing gibbous moon.

Tuesday is where the plot twist lives. A coastal low slides north bringing snow and sleet late morning. That transitions to freezing rain, then plain rain by evening. Highs jump to near 40 degrees. Tuesday afternoon travel could get messy.

Looking ahead. Wednesday through Friday stays unsettled with rain chances and highs climbing into the 40s, even flirting with 50. Then a ridge builds in for the weekend. Sunday could hit 57 to 59 degrees. That's a thirty degree swing from this morning's deep freeze.

Spring equinox is eighteen days out, folks. Today is winter's last real haymaker. Charge your phone before you leave. Cold like this drains batteries fast.

Good evening. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Folks, an Arctic cold front knifed through the state overnight. It's dragging the coldest air we've seen all season straight out of Canada. That little dusting of snow this morning? Just the appetizer. The main course is a deep freeze arriving tonight.

In the next 24 hours. Right now, eastern Massachusetts sits at 38 degrees with a few stray flakes still possible before 2 P.M. Skies clear this afternoon, but don't let the sunshine fool you. Northwest winds are pumping in colder air by the hour. Slide west into the Worcester hills and you're already down to 36. Out in the Berkshires? Thirty four degrees with a sharper north wind. You can feel that Canadian air settling in like it owns the place.

Tonight is when things get serious. Clear skies and calm winds mean the heat just radiates away. Eastern Massachusetts drops to 9 degrees. Central Mass bottoms out around 6. With wind chills dipping below zero. Western Mass hits 7 degrees. That's the kind of cold where your car groans when you turn the key. If you're stepping out early tomorrow, layer up like you're angry at winter. A light jacket won't cut it.

Monday brings wall to wall sunshine but zero warmth. Highs barely touch 27 degrees statewide. That's nearly 20 degrees below normal for early March. Wind chills hover near zero all day.

Now the week ahead tells an interesting story. Tuesday starts with snow, then flips to rain by evening as warmer air muscles in. Wednesday through Friday stay unsettled with showers. but the temperatures? They rocket up. We're talking highs near 50 by midweek, maybe mid 50s by next weekend. Spring's making a comeback.

In One bright spot. Sunrise was 6, 21 this morning, sunset at 5:34. We're gaining three minutes of daylight every day now.

Charge your phone tonight and leave it off the cold windowsill. Batteries hate single digits.

Good afternoon. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Folks, happy meteorological spring. and what a joke that's. An arctic cold front is bulldozing through the state right now, dragging snow and brutally cold air behind it.

In the next 24 hours. Light snow is sweeping west to east this afternoon. The Berkshires caught it first around 9 A.M. Boston sees it by late morning. The coast clears out early afternoon. Don't panic. We're talking a dusting to maybe an inch. Just enough to make your sidewalk annoying.

Now the temperatures. Western Massachusetts actually tops out at 34 degrees today with the heaviest snow. Central Mass sits right at freezing. Eastern Mass reaches 33 degrees with northwest gusts near 13 miles an hour. That wind has teeth.

But tonight is the real story. Skies clear and the bottom falls out. Eastern Mass drops to 5 degrees. Central Mass. 2 degrees. Western Mass hits 3. Wind chills by early Monday morning? 7 to 8 below zero. That's frostbite territory on exposed skin in under 30 minutes. Cover up if you're walking the dog before sunrise.

Monday brings sunshine but zero warmth. Highs barely crack the upper 20s. That's 12 degrees below normal. Spring, indeed.

Now the plot twist. Tuesday a warm front rolls in with a wintry mix. Snow first, then freezing rain, then plain rain. Wednesday through Friday stay unsettled with rain chances each day, but temperatures rebound into the 40s and 50s. That's more like it. The spring equinox is two and a half weeks away. and by next weekend we might actually believe it.

In One more thing worth celebrating. Sunrise hit 6, 21 A.M. Today. Sunset at 5:34 P.M. We're gaining almost three minutes of daylight every day now. The light is winning.

Charge your phone tonight. Cold this deep kills batteries fast.

Good morning. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Happy meteorological spring, folks. and the atmosphere is celebrating by throwing one last arctic tantrum. A cold front is sliding across the state right now, dragging Canadian air behind it like a bad mood. That front is the reason you're waking up to snow.

In the next 24 hours. Light flakes are already flying in the Berkshires. By 8 A.M., they're coating windshields out there. Central Mass picks up snow through midmorning. Eastern Mass, your turn comes late morning into early afternoon. We're talking a dusting to an inch. Not a blockbuster. but enough to make side streets greasy. Take it slow.

Highs today barely kiss freezing. The whole state lands between 32 and 34 degrees. That's a solid 12 degrees below normal for the first day of March. Your car's thermometer will feel like it's lying.

Now the real punch comes tonight. Once the sun drops, temperatures nosedive. Western Mass craters to 3 degrees. Central bottoms out at 2. The coast holds on to a balmy 5. Winds at 7 to 10 miles an hour push wind chills to minus 5, maybe minus 10 across the interior. That's frostbite territory on exposed skin. If you're heading out early Monday, layer up like January never left.

Monday brings sunshine but zero warmth. Highs stuck in the upper 20s. Wind chills in the teens all day.

Looking ahead, the cold loosens its grip fast. Tuesday brings a wintry mix as we climb back toward 40 degrees. Then the pattern flips entirely. Rain chances Wednesday through Friday. but temperatures surge into the 50s by Thursday. That's a 50 degrees swing from tonight's lows. Classic New England whiplash.

We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight every day now. Spring equinox is 19 days out. The warmth is coming.

I'll be tracking that Tuesday mix closely. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good evening. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Folks, if you stepped outside today and thought. Wait, is it March already? You weren't wrong to wonder. We're sitting at 53 degrees right now under clear skies. That's about 10 degrees above normal for late February. A ridge of high pressure parked over New England is giving us this gift. Soak up every last drop, because an Arctic front is already loading up to the north.

In the next 24 hours. Today was gorgeous statewide. Western Massachusetts topped out near 48 degrees. Central areas hit 47. The coast came in around 45. All under blue skies with just a whisper of southwest breeze.

Tonight the bottom starts to fall out. Lows tumble to 23 degrees in the Berkshires. Central Massachusetts drops to 25. Boston and the coast hold onto 29, but barely.

Now tomorrow. Tomorrow's the plot twist. That Arctic front barrels through mid morning bringing snow. The Berkshires catch the brunt of it. One to 3 inches possible out there. Push east toward Worcester and you're looking at 1 to 2 inches. Greater Boston gets a coating, maybe an inch. Snow wraps up by sunset. but the real punch lands after dark.

Sunday night turns vicious. Lows crater to 7 degrees across central and western Massachusetts. Wind chills dip below zero inland. That's the kind of cold where your nostrils stick together. Monday stays locked in the freezer with highs only in the upper 20s.

The week ahead tells an interesting story though. Monday and Tuesday stay bitter. Then Wednesday, temperatures vault back into the 40s. The tradeoff? Rain chances creep in Tuesday night and hang around through Friday. Classic late winter tug of war.

One more thing worth celebrating. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight every day now. Spring equinox is just 20 days out. Winter's throwing one last haymaker, but the calendar's on our side.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good afternoon. Massachusetts. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside right now and you might think winter packed up and left. We're sitting at a sunny 50 degrees. A full ten degrees above normal. but don't get too comfortable. This is the calm before an arctic plunge.

In the next 24 hours. Here's the setup. High pressure is giving us this beautiful gift of a day. but out west, an arctic front is charging toward us. It slices through Sunday morning, flipping the script completely.

Let's enjoy today first. Western Massachusetts climbs to 48 degrees under sunshine. Central spots hit 47. The coast sees 45. Southwest winds are light, just six to ten miles an hour. Perfect weather for a walk if you ask me.

Tonight, skies turn partly cloudy as that front approaches. Lows drop to 23 degrees out west, 25 in central areas. and 29 along the coast.

Sunday brings the changeover. Light snow spreads from west to east between 7 and 8 A.M. It isn't a big storm. Dry air really limits what we see. Eastern Massachusetts gets a dusting to an inch. Central areas might scrape up one to two inches. The Berkshires see the most action with one to three inches possible. Everything wraps up by late afternoon.

Then the real arrives. Sunday night lows crash to seven degrees in central and western Massachusetts. Eastern areas bottom out around 11. Wind chills drop below zero inland. That's the kind of cold that bites.

Monday stays frigid with highs only in the upper 20s. Then we climb back above freezing Tuesday, but a wintry mix moves in. By Thursday and Friday, we're back in the upper 40s to near 50, but rain likely returns. Quite a temperature roller coaster for late February.

Charge your phone before bed tonight. That cold battery drains fast in single-digit weather.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz.

Folks, enjoy today. Seriously. A warm front is sliding up through New England right now, dragging mild air behind it like a preview of April. Step outside and you'll feel 30 degrees under clear skies. By this afternoon? Fifty degrees out in the Berkshires. That's 12 above normal for late February.

In the next 24 hours. Swing east toward Worcester and you're hitting 48. The coast lands around 47 with southwest winds gusting to 23 miles an hour. Sunny skies, light jacket weather. The kind of afternoon where you catch yourself leaving the window cracked.

Don't get too comfortable. Because an arctic front is already charging south out of Canada.

Tonight clouds creep in. Patchy fog develops after midnight. Lows settle into the mid 20s. and then Sunday morning, winter walks back through the door without knocking.

Snow moves in around 8 to 9 A.M. Statewide. Nothing catastrophic. The Worcester Hills pick up 1 to 3 inches. Eastern Mass and the Berkshires see 1 to 2. Light, manageable snow.

The real punch comes Sunday night. Arctic air crashes in and lows plummet to 10 degrees in Boston. Central and western Mass bottom out near 7. Wind chills dip below zero. That's the kind of cold that makes your steering wheel feel like a block of ice.

Monday stays locked in the deep freeze. Highs barely crack the mid 20s. Then the pattern loosens up Tuesday through Thursday. Temperatures moderate and rain and snow chances creep back in midweek.

So today is your window. Get outside. Take a walk. Let the sun hit your face. The spring equinox is just 20 days out. and days like this are the appetizer.

I'll be tracking that arctic plunge all night. See you tomorrow with the full update.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz.

That sunshine hitting your windows right now? It's actually a bit of a trick. High pressure is giving us this beautiful, calm finish to the workweek. but don't get too comfortable. The atmosphere is reloading.

In the next 24 hours. We're sitting at 35 degrees under sunny skies, which feels almost generous for late February. We're running about 4 degrees above normal today. Eastern Massachusetts climbs to 39 degrees this afternoon with a gentle south wind. Push inland toward Central Massachusetts and you'll find it a touch warmer at 41 degrees. Out in Western Massachusetts, you're hitting 42 degrees with a bit more breeze, gusting around 8 miles an hour.

Tonight, temperatures settle back into the 20s statewide. You might see some patchy fog develop toward dawn, especially in those low-lying river valleys. If you're an early riser tomorrow, give yourself some extra travel time.

Saturday is your golden ticket to get outside. Southerly flow pumps in the mild air, pushing highs near 50 degrees across the state. That's a solid ten-degree jump from today.

But Sunday. That's when the weather turns on a dime. A cold front sweeps through with snow likely. Expect one to three inches along and north of the Mass Pike, maybe up to an inch elsewhere.

The bigger story arrives Sunday night. Arctic air comes rushing in. Lows crash into the single digits, with some of those sheltered interior valleys dropping below zero.

Monday morning, wind chills hover near or below zero. Highs struggle to reach the mid 20s. Looking ahead, next week looks warmer but unsettled with multiple chances for rain and snow Wednesday into Thursday.

We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight today, so spring is definitely creeping in. Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Folks, high pressure is sitting right on top of us tonight like a warm blanket. That's why you saw all that gorgeous sunshine today. Temperatures hit 42 degrees. Four above normal for late February. Not too shabby.

In the next 24 hours. Now here's where it gets interesting. That high slides east overnight. Southerly winds replace it. and that sets up a tale of two weekend days you won't forget.

Tonight stays quiet. Eastern Massachusetts drops to around 27 degrees. Push west toward Worcester and you're looking at 25. Out in the Berkshires? Down near 20. but watch for fog creeping into valleys and low spots by 5 A.M., especially across Central and Western Mass.

Saturday. That's your golden ticket. Southwesterly flow pumps warmth in. Boston and the coast reach 49 degrees. Springfield and Worcester? Even better at 51. The kind of afternoon where you unzip the jacket and actually enjoy being outside.

Soak up every minute of it. Because Sunday flips the script. A cold front barrels through bringing light snow statewide. An inch or so for most areas, maybe a touch more north of the Pike. Highs barely crack the mid 30s.

Wind chills Monday morning go near or below zero across the entire state. Monday's highs struggle to reach the mid 20s. That's the kind of cold where your car door handle bites back.

Looking further out, we slowly thaw through midweek. Rain and snow chances return Wednesday into Thursday as the pattern loosens up.

So your weekend game plan is simple. Saturday, get outside. Sunday, stay in and watch the snow fall with something warm in your hands.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Thursday, February 26th.

Folks, grab your coffee and listen up. That little dusting overnight left a nasty calling card. Freezing fog and melting snow have glazed untreated surfaces. Take it slow through 9 A.M. Your brakes will thank you.

Now the real headline. Today feels like two completely different days stitched together. This afternoon? Gorgeous. Mostly sunny. The whole state lands right around 37 degrees. Enjoy every second of that sunshine.. Because tonight the trapdoor opens. We're talking a 25 degrees temperature plunge. Eastern Massachusetts crashes to 10 degrees overnight. Worcester and the Berkshires? Down to 7. Wind chills scraping 8 degrees by dawn. That's the kind of cold that stings your lungs on the first breath.

Friday morning will bite, but the sun fights back. Highs climb to the upper 30s statewide. Saturday is the real gem. Eastern Mass pushes 46 degrees. Drive out toward Springfield and you'll see 48. Nearly 10 degrees above normal for late February. Perfect for a long walk through the Common.

Then winter reminds us who's boss. A cold front barrels through Sunday morning dragging snow showers behind it. Monday's highs barely crack the mid 20s. Sunday and Monday nights? Single digits everywhere. Arctic air, no apologies.

Looking further out, Tuesday and Wednesday stay unsettled with a couple more snow chances. But temperatures gradually thaw back toward 40 degrees. The pattern is classic late winter.. Punching between warmth and cold like a boxer who can't decide which hand to throw.

One bright spot to carry with you. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight today. Sunrise at 6:26, sunset at 5:31. Spring equinox is just three weeks out.

Tonight's cold is no joke. Charge your phone, let that faucet drip. And throw an extra blanket on the bed.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast for Wednesday, February 25th.

Folks, that 12 degrees wake up call this morning? Brutal. The good news is we've clawed back to 36 degrees. The not so good news.. Tonight gets interesting.

A quick little snow maker slides through between 8 P.M. and 2 A.M. The Berkshires have front row seats. About a coin flip chance out there, with snow squalls that could drop a quick inch. Push east toward Worcester and the odds dip a bit. Along the coast? Boston, you're mostly watching this one go by. Warmer ocean air might even flip those flakes to rain near the shore.

Lows tonight tell the story of who gets what. The Berkshires drop to 23 degrees. Central Mass settles near 25. The coast hangs on to 29 degrees, just mild enough to keep things slushy.

Now Thursday morning. You open the curtains and sunshine hits you in the face. Highs push near 40 degrees under blue sky. That's a February gift. And I'd take it.

The week ahead has a real plot twist baked in. Friday stays sunny near 38 degrees. Saturday steals the show, climbing to 45, maybe 48 degrees. Warm enough to unzip the jacket and pretend spring is real. Then Sunday.. A cold front crashes the party with snow showers. And Monday? Arctic air drops highs into the mid 20s with overnight lows in the single digits. Winter's encore performance. Not ready for applause on that one.

One bright spot that nobody can take away from us. We're gaining almost three minutes of daylight every single day. Sunrise at 6:27, sunset at 5:29. The spring equinox is just three weeks out.

Charge up that phone tonight and keep a scraper in the car if you're west of Worcester.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly. Welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast for Wednesday, February 25th.

That snow hitting your windshield right now? That's a clipper system doing a quick drive by. We've already picked up a couple tenths of an inch. And there's more coming before this wraps up around 1 P.M.
Eastern Mass is catching the worst of it. One to three inches by midday. And south winds gusting to 26 miles an hour are blowing it sideways. The kind of snow that finds your collar no matter how tight you zip up. Highs reach 39 degrees.. Perfectly average for late February, which somehow feels disappointing.

Slide west on the Pike toward Worcester and the snow thins out. One to two inches possible before 1 P.M. Southwest gusts hit 25 miles an hour. Highs land at 37 degrees.

Now the Berkshires are playing a different game entirely. Mostly cloudy through the day with barely a flake. But tonight around 10 P.M.. That's when the snow sneaks in out west. Lows drop to 23 degrees.

Statewide tonight, scattered rain and snow showers hang around. Lows range from 23 to 29 degrees.

Thursday the sun comes back. Highs climb to 40 or 41 degrees. Enjoy that warmth because Thursday night gets nasty. The Berkshires plunge to 14 degrees. Boston holds near 20. That's a 25 degrees freefall in a few hours.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday stay quiet near 40 degrees. Saturday's the gem. Mid forties, your best day of the week. Grab lunch outside if you can. Then Sunday night.. An Arctic outbreak crashes the party. Monday's highs struggle to crack the mid twenties. Lows dip into single digits. Three weeks from the spring equinox and winter just called an audible.

Folks, keep those snow brushes in the car today. You'll need them.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. Welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Wednesday, February 25th.

Folks, it's 11 degrees outside right now. Your car hates you. But here's the twist.. Snow first, then a massive warmup. Buckle in.

Snow's already pushing into the Berkshires as of 5 A.M. Worcester gets hit around 6 A.M. Boston joins the party by 6 A.M. too, with the heaviest burst around 10 A.M. We're talking half an inch to an inch per hour. That's the kind of snow that turns your commute into a skating rink. Keep it slow out there.

Most of the state picks up 1 to 3 inches before it clears between 11 A.M. and 1 P.M. Quick and dirty. Now the Cape and Islands? You're getting rain instead. Lucky you.

The real story is what happens after. You're waking up to 12 degrees in Boston. Nine in Worcester. Nine in the Berkshires. Wind chill makes it feel like 4 degrees around 5 A.M. But by early afternoon.. Upper 30s statewide. That's a 25 degrees jump in about six hours. Your winter coat becomes optional by lunch.

Tonight settles into the mid 20s under cloudy skies. Nothing dramatic.

Thursday and Friday bring sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 30s. Right where late February should be. Then Saturday pushes into the mid 40s. That's the gem of the week. Enjoy every minute of it. Because Sunday flips the script. Arctic air crashes in. Monday's highs barely scratch the mid 20s with a chance of snow. Tuesday stays locked in the deep freeze near 30 degrees.

So today's game plan is simple. Survive the morning snow. Then watch the thermometer climb like it drank three espressos.

If this forecast helped you dodge a rough commute, leave us a quick rating. It takes ten seconds and keeps this thing going.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Stay warm this morning, folks!

Good evening, folks! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast for Tuesday, February 24th.
Winter's got one more trick up its sleeve tonight. And you'll want to pay attention if you're heading out early tomorrow morning.

Step outside right now and you're feeling temperatures in the low 30s across most of the state. Boston's sitting at about 33 degrees, which honestly isn't terrible for late February. But don't let that fool you. Heading west toward Springfield and the Berkshires? You're seeing upper 20s. And wind chills are making it feel even more brutal than that.

Here's what's happening overnight. A quick-moving system is sliding through southern New England. And it's bringing a mix of light snow and freezing drizzle. The Cape and the Islands might see mostly rain, but inland? From Worcester on west, you've got a coating to maybe two inches of snow by dawn. Hidden black ice is going to be a real concern on those secondary roads, so if you're an early commuter, take it slow.

Here's where it gets interesting. Wednesday afternoon brings a nice little rebound. Temperatures should climb into the upper 30s, maybe even flirting with 40 in the Boston metro area. That February sun is getting stronger every day. And you can actually feel it now. Perfect for a lunchtime walk along the Esplanade if you can swing it.

Here's your heads-up for the week ahead. Thursday looks quiet and mild — low 40s, partly sunny. Enjoy it, because Friday into Saturday? A stronger storm system is building. And early models are hinting at a wicked significant snowfall. We're talking potentially six-plus inches for parts of the state. It's still a few days out, so the details will sharpen, but you'll want to keep your eye on that one.

One more thing — we're losing almost two and a half minutes of darkness every day now. Spring isn't here yet, but it's definitely packing its bags.

If you're heading out tonight. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care. And

Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly. Welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast for Tuesday, February 24th.

Folks, that two inches of fresh snow from yesterday looks pretty in the sunshine. Enjoy the view.. Because this is the calm before round two.

Right now you're at 27 degrees. That's actually the high point. Eastern Mass tops out around 30 with a west wind gusting to 23 miles an hour. That wind cuts right through you. Drive west toward Worcester and you're sitting at 27 degrees. The Berkshires match that, with northwest gusts hitting 22 miles an hour. Eight degrees below normal for late February. Winter isn't done with us.

Tonight is where it gets brutal. Skies stay partly cloudy but temperatures nosedive. Eastern Mass drops to 12 degrees. Central and western areas? Nine degrees. Wind chills around midnight in central Mass make it feel like 9 degree. That's the kind of cold where your car door handle bites back.

Now here's the thing. Snow is already lining up for Wednesday morning. It sneaks into western Mass after 5 A.M. Central areas see it by 7 A.M. Or 8 A.M. Eastern Mass joins the party around 9 A.M. You're looking at two to four inches inland, one to three along the coast. By Wednesday afternoon, coastal spots could see that snow mix with rain.

The week ahead stays restless. Wednesday's snow clears, then another system rolls in Thursday into Friday with more white stuff possible. Highs bounce between the upper 30s and mid 40s. Saturday shapes up as the gem.. Mostly sunny, 43 to 45 degrees. Circle that one.

One more bit of good news. You're gaining almost three minutes of daylight today. Sunset at 5:28. The light is slowly winning.

Charge your phone tonight and scrape that windshield before bed. Future you'll be grateful at 6 A.M.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Stay warm out there!

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. Welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Tuesday, February 24th.

Folks, you woke up to nearly five inches of fresh snow from yesterday's storm. Beautiful to look at. Brutal to shovel. But the sun is coming out today.. At least for some of you.

Step outside in Eastern Massachusetts and you're getting a gorgeous winter postcard. Mostly sunny skies. Highs reaching 30 degrees around 2 PM. Not bad for late February. Now drive west on the Pike toward Worcester and Springfield. Temperatures top out at 27 degrees, closer to 3 PM. Three degrees doesn't sound like much, but the wind makes it feel like a different zip code out there.

Coastal folks, one quick note. Shallow flooding is possible around high tide this morning. Up to a foot of water in low lying spots. If your commute takes you near the shore, you'll want to plan around that.

Tonight the cold really bites. Eastern Massachusetts drops to 13 degrees by midnight. Feels like 7 with the wind. Head inland to Central and Western Mass and you're looking at 10 degrees. Wind chills? Down near 9 degree in Central Mass. Four degrees out west. Your car is going to protest tomorrow morning.

And speaking of tomorrow.. Here comes the plot twist. A warm front rolls in bringing snow first, then rain. Eastern Mass picks up 1 to 3 inches before it switches over. Central and Western Mass could see 2 to 4 inches that stays as snow longer. Highs climb into the upper 30s. Then another system lurks Thursday night into Friday with more snow possible.

The weekend though? That's your reward. Saturday pushes into the low 40s with sunshine. Something to look forward to after this week's gauntlet.

Oh. And sunrise today was 6:29 AM. Sunset at 5:28 PM. We're gaining almost three minutes of daylight every single day now. Spring is sneaking closer.

Keep your phone charged and your ice scraper handy tonight. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!

Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast for Monday, February 23rd.

Folks, this storm came to fight. And it's not done yet. Blizzard warnings hold for eastern Massachusetts until 7 A.M. Tomorrow. Gusts along the Cape and Nantucket are screaming past 70 miles an hour. That's whiteout territory. If you're anywhere near the coast tonight.. Stay put.

Let's start out east. Heavy snow and blowing snow keep hammering through 8 P.M. You could pick up another inch before winds shift northwest around 7 P.M. Temperatures sink to 21 degrees by 6 A.M. Feels like 11 with that wind. Coastal flooding is also a concern this evening. Nantucket and Cape Cod Bay could see a three to four foot storm surge. Tomorrow the sun comes back, but you're only hitting 31 degrees.

Slide west toward Worcester. The snow is lighter now but visibility is still ugly. Another inch or two before things quit around 9 P.M. Tonight drops to 18 degrees. Wind chills near 6 by morning. Tuesday brings sunshine and 28 degrees, though gusts to 22 miles an hour will steal any warmth.

The Berkshires dodged the worst of it. No new snow, just bitter wind and blowing powder. Tonight falls to 16 degrees. Wind chills near 4. Tomorrow you'll see sun and 27 degrees.

Now the week ahead tells an interesting story. Tuesday is your breather. Cold, sunny, quiet. Then Wednesday a new system rolls in with snow that could mix with rain along the coast. Highs climb toward the upper 30s. Thursday and Friday? We're tracking another potential storm. Could be snow, could be a wintry mix. Temperatures push into the low 40s. By Saturday, skies clear and highs flirt with 45 degrees. That's a 25 degree swing from where we sit tonight.

Charge those phones and keep the flashlights handy. Power outages are no joke with gusts like these.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly. Welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast for Monday, February 23rd.

Folks, if you're not already hunkered down.. You should be. This is a full blown blizzard. Three and a half inches fell overnight. Two and a half of that in just the last six hours. And the worst is still coming.

Eastern Mass is taking the hardest punch. Heavy snow keeps hammering through 8 PM tonight, peaking around 2 PM. You're looking at 9 to 13 inches on top of what's already down. Winds are screaming out of the north at 20 to 30 miles an hour. Gusts to 60 miles an hour. That's whiteout territory. That's branches snapping and power lines going dark. Highs barely scratch 31 degrees this afternoon, then you're plunging to 21 degrees by 7 AM Tuesday. Wind chills make it feel like 11 degrees.

And the coast? A Coastal Flood Advisory runs from 1 PM to 8 PM. High tide hits Nantucket Harbor at 3:32 PM. One to two feet of flooding in low lying areas. Ugly stuff.

Push west toward Worcester and central Mass. Three to seven inches with gusts to 47 miles an hour. Snow tapers by 7 PM, but blowing snow keeps visibility miserable. Highs struggle to 28 degrees, dropping to 18 degrees overnight.

Out in the Berkshires, you're seeing one to three inches. Snow wraps up by 5 PM, but gusts still hit 48 miles an hour. A Winter Storm Warning holds until 7 PM for higher elevations.

Now the week ahead tells a better story. Tuesday brings sunshine but brutal cold. Single digit lows, highs barely in the low 30s. Wednesday another round moves in. Rain and snow mix along the coast, highs near 39 degrees east, with fresh snow in the Berkshires. Thursday and Friday? Scattered rain and snow showers, but highs creep into the upper 30s. By Saturday.. 45 degrees in Boston. Almost feels like a reward.

Today is a stay home day. Keep those phones charged and the shovels close.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Monday, February 23rd.. And folks, this is a big one.

You're waking up to a nor'easter that means business. Nearly an inch already on the ground. And the heavy stuff hasn't even peaked yet. Whiteout conditions hit around 7 AM. Snow keeps falling through 10 PM tonight. This storm will be talked about.

Let me walk you through it. Eastern Massachusetts takes the hardest punch. Another 11 to 17 inches are coming. Winds are howling northeast at 29 miles an hour, gusting to 47. By afternoon, gusts could scream past 60 along the coast. Visibility drops to almost nothing. Highs barely touch 30 degrees around 5 AM, then temperatures actually fall through the day. Wind chills? Feeling like 10 degrees by afternoon. And tonight brings another 3 to 5 inches on top of everything.

Push west into central Massachusetts. You're seeing 10 to 16 inches with highs near 28 degrees around 5 PM. Wind chills feel like 8 degrees around 10 AM. Snow tapers by 6 PM, but blowing snow sticks around.

Western Massachusetts catches the lightest hit. Still 4 to 8 inches, though. Highs near 30 degrees around 5 PM. Winds shift northeast to north around 6 AM.

Now the coastal threat. Storm surges of 2 to 3 feet. Flood warnings through 7 AM. Plymouth County south through Cape Cod and the Islands could see roads underwater. If you're down there, you'll want to stay put.

This is the kind of storm where your phone dies in your pocket and tree limbs come down. Power outages are likely. Travel is dangerous, especially east of Worcester. Just don't.

The week ahead tells a better story. Tuesday brings sunshine and low 30s. Catch your breath. Wednesday another light snow sneaks in. Rain and snow mix lingers through Friday. Then temperatures climb into the 40s by Sunday.

I'll be tracking this all day. Charge your devices and fill some water bottles just in case.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!

Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly. And this is the Massachusetts Weather Podcast for Sunday, February 22nd.

Folks, I'm not going to sugarcoat this. A historic blizzard is bearing down on us tonight. And the National Weather Service is calling it extreme to destructive. This is the real deal.

Light snow starts between 7 and 11 P.M. Tonight. By midnight, snow rates explode to 2 to 4 inches per hour. That's when blizzard conditions lock in along the coast. Winds will scream at 55 to 75 miles an hour. Visibility drops to nothing.

The storm's peak hits Monday morning, 3 A.M. Through noon. A pivoting snow band parks over southeastern Massachusetts, dumping 2 to 3 inches per hour. Boston and the eastern half? You're looking at 18 to 24 inches. Some spots southeast of the city could see 30 inches.

Push west toward Worcester. You're still catching 10 to 16 inches, heaviest between 4 A.M. And 10 A.M. Monday. Gusts to 50 miles an hour will drift that snow into walls.

Out in the Berkshires, the storm peaks around 1 A.M. Monday. Eight to 14 inches with 40 to 50 mile an hour gusts. You're on the edge, but travel will still be impossible.

Now Cape Cod and the Islands. This is where it gets terrifying. Hurricane force gusts to 80 miles an hour. Storm surge up to 4 feet floods Nantucket Harbor between 2 and 5 A.M. Extensive tree damage and widespread power outages are coming.

Snow finally tapers west to east Monday afternoon, ending by 7 P.M. In the southeast.

Looking past the storm, Tuesday brings bitter cold and sunshine. Highs barely crack the low 30s. Wednesday sneaks in another 1 to 3 inches of light snow. Thursday and Friday slowly warm into the upper 30s. Saturday finally delivers sunny skies and low 40s. That's your digging out day.

Tonight, charge everything. Fill your bathtubs. Don't drive Monday morning. This storm means it.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care of each other tonight.

Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Sunday, February 22nd.

Folks, I'm not going to sugarcoat this. A monster nor'easter is barreling toward us. And by tonight, it turns into a full blown blizzard. Right now it's quiet. Enjoy these last few calm hours.

Snow starts between 7 and 10 tonight. Light at first. Then it goes absolutely berserk. Snowfall rates hit 2 to 4 inches per hour overnight. The worst window is midnight through 8 A.M. Monday. Winds shift northeast and crank to 50 miles an hour inland. Out on the Cape and Islands? Gusts to 70 miles an hour. That's hurricane territory.

Let's talk totals. Down in eastern Mass, you're staring at 1 to 2 feet. Three to 5 inches tonight, then another 11 to 17 inches Monday. Today's high hits 37 degrees, but Monday barely scrapes 33 with wind chills around 15. Coastal flooding is likely near the 1 A.M. High tide. Storm surge pushes water 2 to 3 feet above normal. Nantucket Harbor and parts of Cape Cod could see roads underwater.

Push west toward Worcester and central Mass. You're looking at 15 to 23 inches total. Today tops out at 34 degrees. Monday? Just 29 with wind chills near 10. Whiteout conditions are real.

Over in the Berkshires and western Mass, you'll see 8 to 16 inches. Highs today reach 36 degrees. Winds still gust to 55 miles an hour up in those hills.

Travel will be nearly impossible overnight into Monday. Power outages are likely east of I-90. If you're in the Blizzard Warning zone, stay put.

Looking beyond this beast, the storm clears Tuesday morning. Bitter cold settles in with lows near 10 to 14 degrees. Then a fast rebound. Wednesday climbs to the upper 30s. Thursday touches 40. A light snow or rain chance Wednesday night, but nothing like tonight. By Saturday, low 40s return.

One bright spot. We gained nearly 3 minutes of daylight today. You'll need every second of it for shoveling.

Charge your devices. Fill a thermos. Check on your neighbors tomorrow morning.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Sunday, February 22nd, and folks, we need to talk. A monster nor'easter is barreling toward us, and this one means business.

Right now you're seeing just a dusting outside. Three tenths of an inch. Don't let that fool you. By tonight, this storm transforms into a full blown blizzard across much of the state.

Here's the timing you'll want to burn into your brain. Snow starts around 7 PM out in the Berkshires. Central Mass, you're next by 8 PM. The coast gets it by 9 or 10 PM. Then between midnight and 8 AM Monday? That's when it gets brutal. Two to three inches per hour. Near zero visibility. Travel becomes flat out impossible.

Let's talk totals. Worcester, you're staring down 15 to 20 inches by Monday night. Boston picks up 11 to 17 inches total. Western Mass catches a relative break at 8 to 16 inches. Wind gusts hit 47 miles an hour inland. On the Cape and Islands? Up to 70 miles an hour. That's enough to snap trees and kill power for days.

Coastal flooding adds another layer of danger. High tide rolls in around 2 AM Monday, pushing a 2 to 3 foot storm surge into Plymouth, Cape Cod, and Nantucket. If you're near the water, move your car to higher ground before tonight.

Pack an emergency kit now. Blankets, water, flashlight, food. Power outages are almost guaranteed east of I 495. If you don't absolutely have to drive tonight or Monday, just don't.

Looking at the rest of the week, Tuesday brings a breather with sunshine and low 30s. Wednesday sneaks in another 1 to 3 inches of light snow. Thursday warms to 40 degrees with a rain snow mix. By Saturday you're looking at partly sunny skies near 42 degrees. The storm passes, but Monday will test us first.

One quick thing. If this podcast keeps you prepared for days like today, share it with someone who needs it.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care, and please stay put tonight if you can.

Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 21st.

Folks, here's the deal. A monster nor'easter is bearing down on us, and it means business. But tonight? Tonight's the calm before the chaos. Enjoy it.

We picked up about 2 inches of snow overnight. Pretty stuff. Step outside right now and you'll feel mid 30s. Pleasant enough. That changes fast.

Down along the coast in eastern Massachusetts, you're sitting near 34 degrees this afternoon under partly sunny skies. Soak that in. By 4 A.M. Sunday, temps drop to 21 degrees. Then the hammer falls. Sunday afternoon, snow starts. Sunday night? Blizzard. The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for eastern Massachusetts, including Boston. We're talking 1 to 2 feet of snow. Wind gusts up to 70 miles an hour. Whiteout conditions. Travel becomes nearly impossible. Coastal flooding of 9 degrees to 9 degrees feet hits low lying areas near Nantucket Harbor between 9 degrees and 7 A.M. Monday. Boston sees a 10.4 foot high tide at 9 degrees:26 A.M. Sunday, making things worse.

Head inland to central Massachusetts. Highs near 35 degrees today, lows around 20 tonight. Sunday brings heavy snow. You're looking at 16 to 26 inches total through Monday. Power outages are likely as wet, heavy snow snaps branches and drops lines.

Out in western Massachusetts, you've got the warmest day at 41 degrees. Three degrees above normal. Rain transitions to snow after 8 P.M. tonight. By Monday, 12 to 20 inches pile up. The Berkshires could see blizzard conditions at higher elevations.

Here's what's coming this week. Tuesday we dig out under partly sunny skies, highs near 33 degrees. Wednesday brings a chance of light snow. Thursday warms to 42 degrees, but rain and snow mix returns Friday. The pattern stays active.

You'll want to prepare tonight. Stock up, charge devices, and plan to stay off the roads Sunday night through Monday. This storm demands respect.

One more thing. If this podcast helps you stay ahead of storms like this, share it with a neighbor. We all need a heads up for this one.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Stay safe out there, folks.

Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 21st, and folks, we need to talk. A monster is coming.

Right now things feel deceptively calm. We picked up about two inches of snow in the last day. The flakes stopped. You might think winter's taking a breather. It's not. It's loading the cannon.

Here's the deal. A bomb cyclone is spinning up off the Mid Atlantic coast. By Sunday night, it slams into us with everything it's got. Heavy snow. Hurricane force wind gusts. Coastal flooding. This is the real thing.

Today you're seeing highs near 34 degrees in Eastern Mass. Head out to Pittsfield and you'll hit 41 degrees this afternoon. Enjoy that warmth. It vanishes tonight. By 4 A.M. Sunday, temperatures crash into the low 20s. Wind chills drop near 15 degrees.

Now here's where it gets serious. Sunday afternoon, light snow begins. By Sunday night, the beast arrives. Boston could see 13 to 19 inches by Monday evening. Wind gusts of 55 to 70 miles an hour. That's tree snapping, power line dropping wind. Blizzard warnings are already up east of Worcester.

Nantucket faces gusts up to 70 miles an hour. Storm surge of 9 degrees to 9 degrees feet hits at high tide early Monday morning. Plymouth down through the Cape and Islands could flood. If you're near the shore, move your car to higher ground tonight.

Worcester and Framingham? You're looking at 12 to 18 inches with near whiteout conditions Monday. Even the Berkshires catch 9 to 13 inches. Snow falls at 2 to 4 inches per hour at peak. That buries cars fast.

Here's what's coming after. Tuesday clears out but stays brutal cold. Single digits overnight. Wednesday drops another 3 to 5 inches. Then Thursday warms into the low 40s with a rain snow mix. Winter's not done yet.

Charge your devices tonight. Stock up tomorrow morning. Monday, stay home if you can.

One more thing. If this podcast helps you prepare, share it with a neighbor. Storms like this are better faced together.

Stay safe out there, folks. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 22nd.

Folks, here's the deal. Western Mass is running away with the warmth today. Pittsfield's sitting pretty at 41 degrees. That's practically spring out there. Meanwhile, Boston's stuck at 34. Seven degrees mightn't sound like much, but it's the difference between a pleasant walk and zipping that jacket all the way up.

Let's take a drive across the state. Start on the coast. Eastern Mass holds at 34 degrees with light north winds. A stray flurry might drift through, but nothing's sticking. High tide hits at 1:49 this afternoon, pushing 10 feet. If you're near the harbor, watch for splash over along the seawall. Tonight drops to 28 degrees. Your windshield's gonna need a scrape tomorrow morning.

Head west on the Pike toward Worcester. Central Mass reads 35 degrees under light northeast breezes. Mostly dry skies with maybe a rogue flurry. Overnight temps hold in the low 30s. Not bad at all.

Keep driving into the Berkshires and you'll feel it. Western Mass leads the pack at 41 degrees. Light winds, clear skies, a genuinely crisp and pleasant February afternoon. Lows settle right near freezing tonight.

Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Sunday cools things down. Highs drop back to the low 30s statewide. Monday and Tuesday stay chilly with a chance of light snow showers. Then midweek brings a rebound into the upper 30s. And here's something to smile about. We've gained nearly three minutes of daylight since yesterday. The sun's clawing back territory.

Air quality is excellent today, so if you're heading outside, breathe deep.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 17th.

Folks, step outside and you'll feel 25 degrees smack you in the face. That's your Saturday greeting. You're welcome.

Here's the deal. Eastern Mass wakes up at 25 degrees with a north wind at 6 miles an hour. Clouds are hanging around like uninvited guests. Snow flurries are likely through the day. Nothing dramatic. Just enough to dust your windshield and make everything look pretty. Think powdered sugar on a donut.

Drive an hour west toward Worcester and you're at 26 degrees. Lighter winds. Just a slight chance of flurries. Head all the way out to the Berkshires and it's 27 degrees under mostly dry skies. Barely a breeze at 2 miles an hour from the northwest. The quietest weather in the state right now.

Tonight, temperatures drop into the teens statewide. Eastern Mass keeps those stubborn clouds. Western Mass goes clear and calm. The kind of cold that makes your nose hairs freeze on contact.

Tomorrow you'll want to bundle up again, but we rebound a touch. Highs climb into the upper 20s to low 30s under partly sunny skies.

Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Monday and Tuesday stay quiet with temperatures creeping upward. By midweek, there's a system we're watching that could bring snow or rain. Too early to call that one. Late February in New England always has a trick up its sleeve.

Quick note. Sunrise hits at 6:33 this morning. We're gaining almost three minutes of daylight. Spring is whispering. Boston tides peak at 10.4 feet early this morning. Air quality is excellent. Perfect for a crisp winter walk if you layer up.

One more thing. If you're enjoying these morning forecasts, share us with a friend. It really does help.

Good evening, folks! I'm Aaron Jolly, and this's the Massachusetts Weather Podcast for Friday, February 16th.

Here's the deal. Late winter just picked a fight with your Friday, and it's winning. A storm system is pushing right into us tonight, dragging a raw, wind driven mess along for the ride.

Step outside in Eastern Massachusetts and you're feeling 38 degrees. Sounds mild, right? Don't be fooled. East winds at 12 miles an hour make it feel like winter's still got teeth. Rain is basically guaranteed. Your umbrella isn't optional tonight. It's survival gear. Temps settle into the mid 30s overnight, but that wind keeps gnawing.

Drive west toward Worcester and Central Massachusetts, and you're at 37 degrees. Winds ease up a bit near 8 miles an hour. Rain's still a near certainty though. Overnight you're stuck in the mid 30s. Wet and raw, like a cold handshake that won't let go.

Now out in Western Massachusetts, you'll see 36 degrees with light northeast winds around 5 miles an hour. Precipitation is locked in here too. But here's the twist. Overnight lows dip into the low 30s. Higher elevations could see that rain flip to a wintry mix. Slippery stuff if you're driving the hilltowns.

Quick note for your evening. Tides in Boston peak at 10.3 feet around 1:04 PM tomorrow. Coastal spots, watch for splash over. Air quality sits at moderate, so sensitive groups you'll want to take it easy.

Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Saturday stays damp and stubborn, temps grinding through the 30s. Sunday finally dries out, but don't get comfortable. Another system's lurking early next week. Highs hover near 40 degrees, right where mid February should be. Nothing dramatic, just classic New England persistence.

One more thing. If you're enjoying these forecasts, share us with a friend. Word of mouth keeps this thing going.

Good evening! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Friday, February 23rd.

Folks, late winter just threw a soggy curveball at us. A storm is sliding in, and it's splitting the state right down the middle. Here's the deal.

Eastern Mass, you're catching the worst of it. Rain isn't just likely. It's a lock. Highs barely scratch 38 degrees with an east wind at 12 miles an hour. That raw, damp cold that cuts through your jacket? That's your Friday. Head west toward Worcester and Central Mass, and you'll find 37 degrees with the same soggy story but lighter winds. Now drive out to the Berkshires. It's drier but colder at 36 degrees with a gentle northeast breeze. They might dodge the heaviest rain, but I wouldn't bet lunch on it.

Tonight the rain lingers along the coast before tapering off around midnight. Lows settle in the mid 30s east while western Mass dips into the upper 20s. Quick note on coastal flooding. High tide hits Boston at 1:04 PM, reaching 10.3 feet. Not alarming, but keep an eye on low lying spots.

Here's what's coming your way. Saturday the storm exits and leaves behind blustery, stubborn air. Highs struggle to reach 40 degrees. But Sunday? Sunshine returns with a high near 45 degrees. We're gaining almost 3 minutes of daylight every day now. Spring is absolutely flirting with us. Monday brings a mix of clouds and sun in the low 40s. Tuesday a weaker system slides through with just a slight chance of showers. Wednesday dries out with highs in the upper 30s. Air quality today is moderate, so if you're sensitive, you'll want to take it easy outside.

One more thing. If this forecast helped you plan your weekend, share it with a friend who hates getting caught in the rain.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and you're listening to the 6 AM Massachusetts Weather Podcast. It's Friday, February 16th.

Folks, step outside and you'll feel it immediately. That raw, bone soaking dampness that makes 38 degrees feel like 28. Eastern Mass is sitting at 38 right now. Central Mass, 37. Western Mass, 36. And here's the deal. Every single one of those regions is getting rained on today. Not a chance of rain. Rain. Central and Western Mass are locked in at guaranteed wet. Eastern Mass is right behind.

Your morning commute? Slick. Your afternoon commute? Still slick. Easterly winds around 8 miles an hour are just pushing that moisture inland like a slow conveyor belt. If you're heading out toward the Berkshires, watch those western hills. Temps are flirting with freezing up there, and that rain could get sneaky on the roads.

Tonight, lows barely dip into the mid 30s statewide. The rain tapers, but the air stays thick as chowder. Tomorrow you'll see upper 30s again with drier skies. Not sunny. Just less wet. Classic February compromise.

Here's what's coming your way for the week ahead. Sunday could actually touch 40 degrees. In February. I know. But don't get too comfortable. Early next week, we're watching a system that could bring snow. Too early to call it a nor'easter, but it's got our attention. Beyond that, temperatures settle back into the mid 30s through midweek.

Quick note on air quality. It's moderate today, so if you're sensitive, take it easy outdoors. Boston tides are running over 10 feet this afternoon. Coastal roads could see some splashing. And sunrise hits at 6:35 this morning. You're gaining almost 3 minutes of daylight every day now. Spring is creeping closer.

One more thing. If these morning updates help you start your day right, share us with a friend. Word of mouth keeps this going.

I'll be back at 9 AM with your next update. Stay dry out there!
