Just jumping from the hip, we dived right into sports ball talk with the idea of SuperBowl conspiracies. Namely the fact that the last 2 years, and possibly this year as a third, have predicted the two competing teams the year prior with the color scheme of the logo. This in turn lends theorists all the proof they need that the NFL is rigged to have favorites. What are your thoughts?

We also briefly discuss whether or not Allen & Mahomes is this decades Brady & Manning (side bar on whether Mahomes is Darlene from the 90's sitcom "Roseanne"), what are our picks for Conference Championship Sunday and would something like a Bill Belichick coaching switch be all that stands in the way of Buffalo finally taking home that elusive Lombardi trophy??

For the main meat of tonight though we slip back to the nostalgia of when we were each 16, thanks to the birthdays of Don BP's daughter and Kat's daughter being celebrated this week. We travel all over the music, movies, themes, & events that shaped our lives way back when. For reference, you have 1996, 1998, 2002, and 2012 to choose from, so a lot of changes to sift through.

Without wasting any time, Don Pacino, gets after OPP about his Dolphins and we just begin with NFL talk. Most, if not all, the 1st playoff week of 2024 is reviewed and then it is finally down to brass tacks

A couple of judicial system stories are the topic of focus for the news today. Ronnie Long has a, pun intended, long overdue wrongful conviction overturned after 40 plus years, which to those that study the US justice system sees this is not the outlier, but all too common. This includes the question of would you lose 40= years of your life for $25 Million dollars??? Also not to be outdone, a Las Vegas courtroom was interrupted by a high flying, pro-wrestling influenced, defendant yeeting himself over the bench and bashing the judge in his case. This was during the sentencing hearing and now adds multiple extra assault charges that will most assuredly tack on a significant number of years to his already lengthy stay in prison.

Talking about different changes in the video game world we quickly discuss some of the ups & downs that came along with the investment shenanigans with "Stonks" and crypto monies.

For a little dip back to sports, we wonder why is the Midwest so easy to dismiss in major sporting events. And we are still seeing that roller-coaster season from the StL Blues.

But the best thing about the night is the return of our good buddy and top honorary "Dope", Megga for a little love chat with the DonNBP

Let's start with a little tale from the Xmas party we joined on Saturday night, hosted by friends of the show, Kathryn & Aaron Merseal. Lots of great food, friends, family & fun. Everyone also participated in anonymous giving gifts to a random family through "Our Little Haven" charity foundation.

We are still bitching about the never-ending construction on I-55. But in a gross turn of events, a subcontractor damaged some of the support girders that run over the Union Pacific Lines just east of the Loughborough Schnucks and Lowe's. So now what was expected to finish mid 2024 is pushed even further back in to "sometime" 2025. Great Googly Fucking Moogly

Recalling a drunk conversation from the party Saturday, Daddy asks what would you do if your spouse stopped giving falatio after the marriage begins. Also, in other bullshit relationship talk, do you date below your financial status or not? Would you question a friend who does/did?

Another sport star was arrested on accusations of assault to a pregnant girlfriend. Von Miller of the Buffalo Bills is possibly sitting out this upcoming week vs the KC Chiefs. Speaking of NFL staff being without employment at the moment, Dolphin's photographer was released after letting Tyreek Hill use his cell phone to videotape a TD celebration, and then reacted to it online. This caused the NFL higher-ups to consider this a biased action.

As we wrap up, Nerd Father and Daddy speak on their meeting with Donny Fandango, currently of 105.7 The Point and 106.5 The Arch fame and Jamie Rivers, former StL Blues 1st round draft pick and player and now sports personality on 101.1 ESPN and Bally Sports TV.

The "Don BP" has been itchin' to review one of his favorite movies, "Friday", so OPP and Step-Daddy oblige him and his inquiries.

Austin, TX makes the headlines for a rather infantile scuffle between a few Marines and a meathead mouth runner. There might have been a slight instigation from a female but sources were not concrete on the matter. We do also get a military brat perspective from our Sister in the big chair, Kat Danner and her new Kat-ionary.

A quick revisit of the drama around the FB pages "Are We Dating the Same Male/Female" and the lawsuits that are stemming from some of the words used by these "O' so courageous" keyboard warriors.

We continue the talk of violent matters by bringing up the recent arrest of an English hockey player who has been charged with manslaughter of a fellow hockey player with his skate blade to the throat. Also, Boston Bruin, Milan Lucic was taken in for Assault and Battery of a family member. Kat hops on again just in time to discuss with Daddy after his recent assignment 'on location" to Urgent Care.

We kick off the discussion with some recent changes to a local Soulard mainstay named Social Bar & Grill. A list of new rules for their patrons to follow was released over the weekend and some of the changes seem drastic. This leads us to further ponder if this will be the new norm for other sports bars and is there a different community or area of St. Louis that their rule changes would suit more. We witnessed a season (if not career) ending injury to Nick Chubb during the Browns/Steelers game and contemplate how screwy this will make a lot of fantasy football leagues going forward. The "3 Dopes" are back in your eyes and ears once again, lounging out on the back patio of Pepper's Bar & Grill, discussing some of the best sandwich shops in the nation and 3 of them are right here in our wonderful backyard of St. Louis.

Lastly, of course, the incident that occurred at a Miranda Lambert event involving 6 adults women who just had to have the perfect selfie shot.

Before ending the night with a few quick sports trinkets, we go back on the fun side of things with a tweak to reoccurring spot, "One Gotta Go" (breakdown & results below) by running it in a tournament style of discussion. For this part almost unofficial member and definite "Honorary Dope", Mega hops on the mic for his opinions and insights.
