Citizen Jane is not only one of the top in demand DJ's but she also has gone back to her singing roots releasing her first single "Rescue Me" in a collaboration with Brazilian DJ Tommy Love from her forthcoming EP which is climbing the dance charts and currently trending in the top most streamed dance songs on Spotify.

CJ is currently about to release the second single of her EP “Like Her” and is working on a collaboration with an emerging female singer on a Duet project coming soon.

As a celebrity DJ, Citizen Jane has also dropped her beats in private events for Kim Kardashian, Stella McCartney, Patricia Velasquez, Gwen Stefani and Kat VonD to name a few and has shared stage billing with AfroJack, Bebe Rexha, Christina Perry, Crystal Waters, Deborah Cox, Cece Peniston, Becky G, J Balvin, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez.

Her love of music extends beyond her high energy DJ beats that has led her to become one of the most in demand International Singer/Songwriter/DJ/Producers on the DJ scene of today.

Her vision is to empower students to take the lead in administering Pride Center campus events. She hopes to evolve the culture at FIU through advocacy and education to establish our campus as the most supportive and affirming university for LGBTQIA+ students in Florida. Dr. Friedman received formative training as a social justice agent for queer and trans communities as an undergraduate at Binghamton University and through her doctoral program in psychology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. For over 10 years, she researched topics within gender and queer studies focused on understanding the impact of cisgenderism and heterosexism. She explored how social norms around gender and sexuality develop and can be resisted or changed. In her free time, Dr. Friedman enjoys worldwide travel and is featured in several travel blogs and magazines. She spent several months in New Zealand volunteering at a local non-profit organization and became SCUBA-certified while in Thailand. Dr. Friedman personally experiences both her gender and sexuality as fluid.
