The opening address of the Lord’s Prayer reminds us that all true prayer begins with the gospel of grace. In calling God "our Father in heaven," Jesus teaches us both why we can draw near to God with confidence and how we are to come before Him - with the humble reverence and childlike trust of His beloved children.

Whether you're walking through a season of blessing, loss, waiting, or transition, this passage offers encouragement and hope. The God who appoints every season is the same God who sent His Son at just the right time and continues to hold our lives in His hands.

Psalm 136 calls us to remember that God’s steadfast love never fails through creation, redemption, suffering, and daily life, and that His covenant faithfulness reaches its fullest expression in Jesus Christ.

Psalm 51 teaches that when sin disrupts our joy and fellowship with God and others, we cannot restore ourselves. Only God, through His mercy and renewing grace, restores broken sinners who come to Him in genuine repentance.

God demonstrates that He is never absent in the suffering of His people. While Israel lived under oppression in Egypt, God sovereignly preserved Moses, the deliverer who would lead His people out of bondage. Through this passage we see God’s providence in the midst of fear, His authority over earthly rulers, and a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ, the greater Deliverer who rescues His people from sin and death.

Suffering raises real and often painful questions – especially when the righteous suffer. The book of Job teaches us that to suffer well is to bring our questions honestly before the Lord, yet suffering does not entitle us to the answers we seek. Instead, it draws us into a deeper knowledge of God Himself and His sovereign rule – so that, with Job, we may say, “I had heard of You, but now my eyes see You.” In our trials, we are reminded that our greatest danger is not suffering itself, but failing to treasure God for who He is. Until that day when we see Him fully, our hope in suffering is found in Christ—the Suffering Servant who understands us, the Good Shepherd who loved us unto death, and the sovereign God who is both exalted above all and near to the brokenhearted.

Living out our faith is hard. We face opposition from the world, the culture around us, and even people who want to see us fail. Often, that external opposition is matched by the voices within us: fear, discouragement, and doubt. Yet God’s promise to be our salvation stands over every opposition, giving us strength to endure and overcome. As we hold fast to His promises, we hold fast to Christ, the ultimate fulfillment of every promise God has made.

When God’s Word is rediscovered and rightly proclaimed, it calls both leaders and people to wholehearted covenant renewal, turning from sin, rejecting idols, and committing to follow the Lord with all their heart and soul; yet this passage ultimately points us to the deeper need for true heart transformation that only Christ can accomplish.

When life falls apart, it’s natural to question God’s character, but He meets us in our doubt. Through this passage, we see that God provides a mediator in our pain and faithfully restores our confidence in Him, turning our deepest crisis into a testimony of His power.

We are a people of deep need in a world of deep need, and it is right to long for a King – to long for Jesus. Yet too often, we let our needs shape our expectations of Him. When we do, we struggle to recognize and receive Him, and are left disappointed. But when we behold Christ as He reveals Himself, we discover and receive a King far greater than we imagined – the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world.

God establishes Samuel as His prophet by revealing His word to him and announcing judgment on Eli’s household for their persistent, unrestrained sin. In a time when God’s word was rare in Israel, the Lord calls Samuel to listen and faithfully deliver His message. This passage highlights the importance of hearing and obeying God’s voice and reminds us that spiritual leaders are accountable to God for confronting sin and upholding His truth.

In response to Israel’s repeated rebellion, the LORD compassionately raises up judges to deliver His people, yet their unchanged hearts cause them to return to deeper corruption once the deliverer is gone.

Every relationship has its own commitments, and a covenant defines both the relationship and its demands. In His covenant with us, God calls us to love Him with absolute faithfulness as our only God - yet we fail. In Christ, our unfaithful hearts are forgiven and renewed, restoring our relationship with God.

Life can wear us down, and our sinful nature often distorts how we see God’s present—and even His past – faithfulness. The journey feels long, we feel stuck, and we draw short-sighted conclusions about a story that is not yet finished. Yet in His grace and love, often through unexpected means, God is still patiently shepherding our hearts and training our minds to depend on Him alone – to look to Him, and live.

In Leviticus 16:29-34, we see that cleansing from sin doesn’t come through our efforts, but through the work of a consecrated priest acting on our behalf. This ancient rhythm of repentance and rest points us to Jesus Christ, our perfect High Priest, who has made full atonement once for all.

On the night when death passed over Egypt, God established more than a moment of deliverance. He instituted a feast that would define His people for generations. This message explores how the Passover reorients time, identity, and worship around the blood of the lamb and points forward to Christ, our true Passover, who forms a people shaped by mercy and grace.

The Beginning of Creation, the Fall, and the Plan of Salvation

We were made for love. Even non-Christians recognize that humans are created both to love and to be loved. So why, then, do we struggle so deeply to do it well? John 3:16 brings us back to a foundational, identity-shaping, behavior-transforming truth: we are loved simply because we are loved. Only when we grasp this can we begin to live as we were created to live.

In a world full of fear, striving, and restlessness, true peace can only come from the God who provides it. Ezekiel 34 shows us that real peace is found in the Shepherd who leads us, the covenant that holds us, and the God who claims us as His own.

When the world is unraveling, the only lasting hope is not found in reforming broken systems or reclaiming past glory, but in receiving the righteous King God promised, Jesus Christ, who alone brings the justice we long for, the security we need, and the righteousness we cannot earn.

This sermon explores Colossians 1:15-23 and shows that Jesus Christ is not only our Savior, but also the eternal Lord of creation, the One through whom all things were made and is whom all things hold together.

We cannot fully receive the gospel unless we first see what our sin is and how deeply it runs in our hearts. As our sin becomes clearer, the cross of Jesus Christ becomes greater to us.

This message explores Jesus' teaching on anxiety and trust in God from the Sermon on the Mount. It unpacks how the call to seek God's kingdom and righteousness reframes daily concerns and reveals the Father's faithful provision. Rather than offering self-help strategies, the passage invites a reoriented life grounded in Christ-centered trust.
