This message exposes the false security of self-righteousness, the reality of storing up wrath through an unrepentant heart, and the certainty of God's righteous judgment. Ultimately, it points us to the only hope for sinners: Jesus Christ, who bore God's wrath and offers His perfect righteousness to all who repent and believe.

This sermon explores the futility of self-righteousness, the certainty of divine judgment, and the glorious hope found in Jesus Christ. The moralist's greatest need is not more morality but the perfect righteousness of Christ imputed to all who repent and believe.

Scripture: Romans 2:1–3

What is the wrath of God? Why is it necessary? And why can humanity not claim ignorance before God?

This message explores humanity’s suppression of divine truth, the clarity of God’s revelation in creation, and the universal guilt of mankind before a holy Creator. Yet this passage ultimately prepares us to see the beauty of the Gospel more clearly, because only when we understand the seriousness of sin and the justice of God can we truly treasure the grace revealed in Jesus Christ.

At the cross, God’s wrath against sin and God’s love for sinners meet perfectly together.

Text: Romans 1:18–20

The apostle Paul, though strong in faith and ministry, expresses a deep longing to be with the church. Why? Because God strengthens His people through the mutual encouragement of faith. Christianity is not a solo journey, it is a shared life, where believers build one another up through the truth of the Gospel.

This message explores four key marks of a Gospel-shaped life:

• A genuine love for the church
• A desire to strengthen others through the Word
• A commitment to mutual encouragement
• A sense of urgency and responsibility for the Gospel

If you’ve ever been tempted to live the Christian life alone, this message will challenge and encourage you to rediscover the beauty and necessity of Gospel community.

You were not saved to stand alone, you were saved to belong, to build, and to be built up

Paul reminds the church that believers are loved by God, called to be saints, and living under grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

This sermon explores these truths through a Reformed, expositional lens, showing that our identity is rooted not in our performance, but in God’s sovereign love, effectual calling, and sustaining grace.

As we understand who we are in Christ, we are not only blessed, we are equipped and ready to go, living lives of holiness and confidence, grounded in the Gospel.

After unfolding the gospel as promised in the Scriptures and declared in power through the resurrection, and after establishing the weight of Christ’s Lordship and our identity as His servants, Paul now turns to us:

“including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.”

We will also see how this call produces the obedience of faith, for the sake of Christ’s name, among all nations, including us today.

In a world where “lord” often means little more than respect, Scripture presents something far greater, authority, ownership, and total allegiance.

Looking at Romans 1:1–7, we see how Paul understood his identity as a servant (slave) of Christ, and how the resurrection declares Jesus’ rightful rule over our lives..

This episode invites you to wrestle with an important question: Are you simply calling Him Lord… or living under His Lordship?
