    <description><![CDATA[<p>"Embracing Expansive Literacies: <em>The Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy</em> Podcast (2026-2029)" features conversations that center literacy education and transformative literacy practice through the voices of educators and scholars. <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ila.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/19362706"><em>The Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy</em></a><em> (JAAL)</em> is co-edited by Eric Claravall, Eric Junco, Jill Castek, Jung Kim, and Michael Manderino, along with managing editor Tyler H.J. Frank. <em>JAAL</em> is an official journal of the <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.literacyworldwide.org/">International Literacy Association</a> and is the only literacy-focused journal for teachers of older learners, providing high-quality, classroom-tested ideas as well as reflections on literacy trends, issues, and research. Yang and Hu present a high schooler's first-person accounts of using generative AI tools across diverse literacy activities in and outside school.
