    <description><![CDATA[Josh is a football coach, a goalkeeper coach, and a personal trainer.

He has experience coaching youth and senior teams, at grassroots and in non-league, and a background in training and facilitation.

He is the Head of Coaching at Goal Diggers FC, First Team and Strength + Conditioning Coach at Cuffley FC, a goalkeeper coach for the Crystal Palace Academy Pathway, and a coach at Ballers Academy. He also works 1-1 and in small groups, online and in person, offering sessions tailored to individual player focuses.

After developing his own passion for strength + resistance training, he qualified as a Personal Trainer with the Personal Trainer Collective. He offers personal training at private studios across London, as well as online coaching on training and nutrition.

On the podcast, Josh sits down with players, coaches, journalists, and educators to discuss their journeys into football and fitness.]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>England gave a good account of themselves but drop out of the tournament at the quarter final stage in the same way a load of other favourites did.</p><p>Drew and I look back on the France game, and consider where England might have looked to win the game. We also reflect on some of the individual performances in the game, and discuss how chances were created.</p><p>We then look back at our week of coaching, and review the session we delivered around keeping possession close to the opposition's penalty area. We look at our roles within our sessions, and touch on ways we can continue to work together effectively.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>I'm doing quite a bit of formal learning at the moment. Between my B License, and Muscle Nerds' Foundational Nutrition course, it's probably as much as I've had to be working on since finishing my degree.</p><p>This week, I completed the National Goalkeeper Course, a new coaching course that the FA have rolled out to replace the old Level 1 in Coaching Goalkeepers, and Goalkeeper UEFA C License.</p><p>In the first part of this episode I review the course, outline how I will be implementing the learning into my coaching, and consider the potential ramifications for the coaching pathway being changed.</p><p>In part 2, I go through France's 2-1 win over Denmark and look at where they're having success in the tournament so far.       <description><![CDATA[<p>As we break for the World Cup, the table looks a bit different to how I imagined it would at the start of the year.</p><p>With some players meeting, and even exceeding, expectations for their clubs, Hayden and I have a go at picking an 18 player match-day squad based on individual performances this season.</p><p>Parameters were:</p><ul><li><p>max. 3 players per club (failed to stick to that)</p></li><li><p>we're playing 4-3-3 (Arsenal are top, and that's how they play)</p></li></ul><p>Some no brainers, some players who deserved it perhaps based on our expectations of them, and a couple who we just both really like.</p><p>Enjoy!</p>]]></description>

She has a background in playing football, and spent the summer of 2019 playing for Goal Diggers and shouting at the TV in The Book Club in Shoreditch.</p><p>We discuss moving country during a pandemic, the similarities between football and handball as a goalkeeper, and why she celebrates every goal in the way that she does.</p>]]></description>
