We have two 333 Contest winners! There’s no agenda this time. No deep dive. Just champagne, memories, laughter, a few unexpected confessions, and the kind of conversation that happens when the cameras are rolling and everyone gets a little too comfortable. Did they say too much? Wind and Kevin pop the champagne to celebrate the winners—and every one of you who has become part of the Shred and Soul family. What follows is an hour of funny, intimate, candid, and increasingly tipsy conversation about music, life, and some behind-the-scenes stories you probably haven't heard before. Kevin raises a glass to his brother Andrew Wood and to the musicians and friends who have shaped his life, sharing memories that are personal, hilarious, and sometimes bittersweet. Wind opens up about parts of her own backstory that may catch even longtime viewers by surprise. It’s a celebration. It’s a party. And you’re invited.

What if the predictions are true? Some experts now estimate there is a significant chance that advanced AI could cause serious real-world harm within the next five years. AI has already begun demonstrating behaviors its creators never intended, prompting renewed warnings from researchers and developers at the forefront of the technology.

So where is all of this heading?

Should we continue racing toward ever more powerful AI—or pause long enough to ask whether we're truly in control?

Kevin and Wind dive into one of the most consequential conversations of our time, examining the evidence behind the headlines. From documented AI incidents and whistleblower testimony to warnings from AI pioneers themselves, they explore what is fact, what is fear, and what humanity must decide before the next generation of AI arrives.

The future may not be written yet—but the choices we make today could determine who, or what, writes the next chapter.

Wind interviews Kevin on co-founding his band Malfunkshun with his brother Andrew Wood. Why he feels the Seattle scene evolved as it did. What are Andy’s lyrics about? Kevin coined one of the God Fathers of Grunge - though Kevin doesn’t like the term Grunge. Kevin shares one of his favorite guitars. Wind has learned to accept Kevin’s mistresses. (Please forgive the buzz. We were having technical difficulties and decided to air this anyway since it was authentically raw and unedited).

      <itunes:title>Is Grunge Dead?</itunes:title>

"Post-grunge" is one of the most misunderstood labels in rock. It doesn't mean grunge died. Kevin and Wind propose the original Seattle explosion of the late '80s and early '90s evolved into a more polished, radio-friendly sound. As one of the founding fathers of grunge Kevin has a unique and personal perspective. Many fans reject the term because they believe grunge wasn't just a style of music—it was a specific place, time, and community centered in Seattle. In that view, you can't recreate grunge any more than you can recreate Woodstock. Some argue that while the movement ended, the sound never did. Is grunge really dead? That depends on who you ask. If you define grunge as Seattle between 1985 and 1994, then yes. It ended with the loss of key musicians, changing record labels, and the music industry's shift toward new trends. But if you define it as an attitude and musical language, many bands are still carrying that torch.
