Not just in the moments that feel good, but also when things are messy, uncomfortable, or out of your control.

We move beyond sensual awareness and into something deeper:
How do you stay in contact with yourself when life doesn’t feel like a choice?

I weave together perspectives from embodiment, conscious relating, and kink, including the idea of consensual non-consent, to explore how we relate to intensity, trust, and the unknown.

It is not about bypassing, forcing positivity, or enjoying suffering.
It’s about staying present, taking responsibility where you can, and experimenting with trust where you can’t.

In this episode, I touch on:
– staying in relationship with life (instead of fixing or resisting)– intensity and edges– the patterns we unconsciously return to– trust, surrender, and the question: can I stay open even when I don’t understand?– translating relational and sexual agreements into how we move through life

You’ll hear a different take on surrender.

What happens when 'conscious' or spiritual language becomes a shield?

In this solo episode, I explore a subtle dynamic I’ve seen again and again in intimacy-oriented, embodiment, and spiritual communities: what I call spiritual hierarchy. It's the moment when intuition, inner experience, or emotional fluency starts being used to override someone else’s reality.

This episode is for those who are inside these spaces…

and also for those who have stayed away from them, stepped out, or felt disappointed - precisely because something didn’t feel right, even when the language sounded beautiful.

We talk about how empathic people can easily end up doubting themselves in these environments, how vulnerability can be met with care or quietly turned into a tool for power, and why inner experience is meaningful… but not automatically authority.

This is not about cynicism or diagnosing others.

It’s about discernment.

It’s about mutuality.

And it’s about staying connected to your own signals, especially in spaces that speak the language of healing.

I also share parts of my own journey from naive compassion to wiser empathy: empathy with boundaries, with choice, and with self-trust.

If you’ve ever felt confused after a “conscious” conversation, or wondered whether your discomfort was actually intelligence… this one is for you.

.

🔗 Stay Connected: You can follow my journey and explore more about intimacy and sexuality at www.intimate-breath.com or on Instagram and Facebook: @intimatebreath.

📢 We’d Love to Hear from you!

You keep showing up. You want to connect. But somehow, it keeps happening: you’re the one left out.

Not chosen. Not seen. Not touched.

Again.

In this solo episode, I dive into one of the hardest patterns I witness in group spaces — and know personally: the rejection loop. A painful cycle that has nothing to do with how attractive, interesting, or "good" you are — and everything to do with what your body has learned to expect.

If you've ever told yourself _“maybe I’m just not lovable”_ — or shaped your whole way of being around _trying not to be rejected_ — this one's for you.

We'll talk about:

- What rejection has to do with shame and survival fear

- How trauma, attachment, and the nervous system silently broadcast your past

- The many sneaky ways the rejection loop expresses itself (you’ll likely recognize yourself)

- And: what to do if you’re tired of trying to be “enough” just to be included

I’m sharing this not just as someone who’s studied this for years — but as someone who’s lived it. There’s a way through. And it doesn’t start with fixing your appearance, your energy, or your social skills.

It starts with no longer believing that being rejected means there’s something wrong with you.

Listen in.

This time, I’m sitting down with Veronica and Ernesto, a vibrant couple who bring their rich, tangled personal story to the table. Hailing from Mexico, they share what it’s been like to carve out a life in Sweden—grappling with stark cultural differences, building lasting friendships, and finding connection in a new land, even when it’s felt shaky.

With over 20 years since they started dating and 15 years of marriage behind them, they open up about a recent twist: choosing to explore an open relationship. In a grounded, real, and sometimes playful way, they unpack the ups and downs of shifting roles—stepping into the space of a ‘third’ rather than the ‘only,’ and noticing how familiar patterns still creep in, even beyond just the two of them.

What makes their perspective so compelling? They’ve been part of my Liberation Journey, joining me in spaces like the Desire Playground, where vulnerability and depth have shown them they’re not alone in their messy experiences. Ernesto reflects on how witnessing others bring their desires forward has hit him hard, while Veronica pinpoints what set this path apart: the intentional, co-created culture we built over six months as a group.

They offer a raw, insightful look at love, identity, and belonging—across borders and within relationships, flaws and all.

.

For info on the Liberation Journey program mentioned:

https://www.intimate-breath.com/theliberationjourneybelgium

Instagram/Facebook: @intimatebreath

https://www.intimate-breath.com/

📷 Janie Petersen

📢 We’d Love to Hear from You! <itunes:title>Unexpected path: how conscious kink healed my chronic pain - with Lavinia</itunes:title>

Join us for an intimate conversation with Lavinia, an architect who's turning into a sexuality and conscious kink facilitator, as we explore the transformative journey from trauma to empowerment.

In this episode, we dive into our shared experience of childhood sexual abuse and how it has shaped our paths towards healing and personal growth.

Lavinia opens up about her personal story of reclaiming her power after being abused at age 12. We discuss the confusion, shame, and isolation that followed, and how group healing experiences have been transformative in her recovery process. As we explore our parallel journeys, we reflect on the power of finding connection through shared wounds and the importance of breaking the silence surrounding childhood trauma.

We discuss:

- The surprising connection between chronic migraines and emotional suppression

- How conscious kink practices have become a tool for processing anger and expanding capacity for pleasure

- The power of finding your voice to say "no" in recreated scenarios

- The realization that our bodies are actually strong and capable of defending themselves

Lavinia shares a powerful moment from a Sacred Desire Playground where she finally found her voice, describing it as "a huge burden lifted off my shoulders." We also touch on her journey with chronic pain and how impact play has surprisingly increased her ability to manage physical discomfort.

This conversation gets real about the messiness of healing, the power of group support, and how embracing our darkness can lead to unexpected liberation.

In this enlightening episode, join me as I chat with Tricia, the Safe Slut, also known as Cassie Black in her role as an adult artist, who champions sex positivity through her diverse work ranging from sex education to creating content for OnlyFans and participating in both mainstream and artistic adult films.

Our conversation dives into the deeply personal and universally relevant topic of living with genital herpes—a condition we both share—and how it influences our lives and dating experiences. Tricia shares her insightful and empowering perspective on why conversations about safer sex aren't just necessary; they're downright sexy.

We tackle the common excuses people use to avoid sexual health responsibilities, explore the difference between being oversexualized versus celebrating our sexuality, and discuss the realities of working in the porn industry while still conveying a message of self-empowerment.

One of the most powerful takeaways from our discussion was her affirming statement: "I have herpes and I am hot," a testament to embracing and owning one's sexuality despite societal stigma.

Don't miss this candid, vulnerable, and educational episode that challenges perceptions and invites a more open dialogue about sex, health, and self-acceptance.

<itunes:title>"Can I flirt with you?" - Reid on ethical sluttiness and dating your species</itunes:title>

In this playful episode, I sit down with Reid Mihalko, a sex and relationship coach. As we flirt and giggle our way through some deeply enriching discussions, we touch on the pressing need for ingrained consent, especially for those in privileged positions. Reid offers a fresh perspective on how society grapples with mistakes, referring to his own past restorative justice process.

Ever heard of "dating your species"? It's Reid's teaching about recognizing who you truly are in the vast spectrum of relationships and connecting with those who genuinely match you in it. Whether you're an adventurous monogamist dreaming of sailing escapades or a queer individual embracing promiscuity, Reid emphasizes the importance of clarity in choosing partners.

We dive deep into the world of open relating and the art of ethical sluttiness, exploring how to leave every encounter, be it a person or place, better than you found it. Reid's sex-positive narratives might just catch you off-guard, you are warned!

Join us for this rollercoaster of an episode – it's flirty, vulnerable, educational, and sure to make you rethink some relationship tenets. If there's one thing I hope for, it's that you'll find as much value in listening as we did in sharing our crush-laden conversation.

      <itunes:title>Honoring Her Pace: Saskia's Path to More Pain-Free Play</itunes:title>

In this deeply personal episode, Saskia speaks into her journey from discomfort and pain to self-connection, to doing it her way and to doing things in her pace.

The tantric workshops and gatherings initially drew her in, with their potential for liberation and ecstasy. However, Saskia found herself overriding her own body, lost in an intensity that felt far away from true pleasure for her.

As a very sensitive woman, she started listening more to the subtle whispers of her body and found great treasures. She describes to us how sex has always been painful and how her relationship to her own erotic body has shifted.

Listen to this heartfelt conversation where vulnerability meets wisdom, and where Saskia's story beckons us to explore our own paths to pleasure, on our terms, at our pace.

The last 5 years for her have been mostly dedicated to working with men around issues such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, pain, aches, fear and shame... to name a few. I have always enjoyed the straightforward, fully accepting and natural way she talks and writes about sexuality and genitals.

"How did you start doing the job you do?"
Thanks to you asking me this question often lately, this episode is laying out the key events in my life that shaped me to where I am now.

Like every mother has a birth story, all of us have a story about growing as a sexual being. Explaining to you what got me to become a holistic intimacy and sexuality coach is pretty much the same as telling you this personal tale. By listening you'll get to know how I started my journey full of eagerness and curiosity but also with patterns of pleasing, non-consensual happenings, genital health challenges and experiences of painful intercourse. You hear about some turning points that made me look for alternative ways to navigate my intimate life. You'll get to know more about the ways I found or created the kind of safety I needed to heal. How did I find the kind of intimacy and ways of relating that fulfilled me in a much deeper way, uniquely to what I need and long for?

This is also to you who's my client and who feels like I know your whole life story while you barely know mine!

<itunes:title>Let's not talk about it - Personal stories with my sister</itunes:title>

You can also read this on my blog.
We don't learn about masturbation. We don't learn about our anatomy (like, for real, there are so many misconceptions about our genitals). We don't learn about having difficult conversations or setting personal boundaries. We don't learn what an orgasm is. In our curriculum, LGBTQA+ was highly unmentioned.
And how the freak is it possible we don't learn how to read the signs of our fertility?

Some are angry.
Some are confused.
Maybe you feel unsatisfied.
Many wondered and didn't know who to ask to.

Any time I study more about the erotic body or receive a question from a client that starts with "Is it normal that..." and continues with something that is completely normal (like always), my heart breaks a bit.
The consequences of having a topic like sexuality be taboo is massive for our self-image, our sexual well-being and thus our overall health. Let's start talking about what is important!

In this episode my sister and I talk about our experience of growing up as young girls. It's a story that many can relate to and a conversation we hope you start opening more with those around you.

Get in touch if you are interested in working with me: www.intimate-breath.com

Ps. If there is one thing for sure, it is that I am way better in talking pleasure than setting up a recording studio! With humor and some sincere sadness I can tell you I took a microphone and not-so-light-weighted soundcard with me on my travel to Belgium, only to realize afterwards I by accident used the computer microphone anyways. I hope you find some joy in listening to our talk nevertheless!
<itunes:title>Creation Orgasms: Can You ‘Come’ From Working?</itunes:title>

Arousal, sexual pleasure and orgasms, can they also be present in situations that are usually not considered as sexual?
In this episode I’m sharing a personal story about a powerful orgasmic experience I’ve had now multiple times more since this recording happened. Olivia is with me and guides the conversation with her curiosity.

You’ll hear more about how pleasure and creation are linked in two directions. Through the body, through touch and through our sexual pleasure we can access flow, effortless creation and expression. From there we can feel inspired and take action.
The other way around is also possible: the (biologically crucial and ) purposeful act of creating a baby is meant to be pleasurable. Any other creation that feels purposeful and comes from a deep care can also be orgasmic.

Can this positive feedback loop of bodily pleasure in our work support us to create more and more effortlessly?
Other subjects we dive into:

Allowing ourselves to feel turned-on whenever

A new perspective on orgasms and how they can feel like

Looking at creation in cycles

Our mind as a fully integrated part of our being

Are you open to being surprised of what’s possible?

If this was of any value to you, share it with your friends and leave a comment.

Is giving oral sex for you something enjoyable, bearable or in times rather disgusting? In this episode Kelsey and I tell our personal stories in giving oral sex. We share how it is possible to move from only pleasing or giving for the pleasure of a partner, to feeling the authentic impulses from within to pleasure (with) the tongue, the mouth and the throat. We can open up to new layers of surrender and trust, release stored tension through sex and open up our bodies, also in this tasty place!

Imagine schools where the cognitive learning is one important aspect next to many others, like relating, handling strong emotions, authentic communication and listening to the body. We could argue that this is not the job of a school and still, there could be a lot more consideration and room for integrated embodiment, emotional wellbeing and relating skills in children's learning journey.

As adults, we all have a little child in us. The one that just sometimes needs to be held, that suddenly gets stubbornly angry, the one that wants to run away when something gets scary. Most of us didn't learn how to acknowledge and be with our own little child.

In this episode I talk with Nikki Verloy from Onderwijs Anders (https://www.onderwijsanders.be/ ,in Dutch) about emotional maturity with children, in the classroom and in adult relationships.
It got a lot of responses full of curiosity and readers opened up to share their personal story. A lot of men wondered, sometimes questioned, whether the same applies to male sexuality.
