I feel there’s a gap when it comes to talking about grief in a real, relatable, and spiritually encouraging way. In each episode, I hope to provide comfort, encouragement, and the sense that you’re not alone in your grief. My goal is for this podcast to be short—around five minutes per episode—so you can listen in and find moments of peace and hope in the midst of your busy day.

The tone will be kind, sweet, and uplifting, coming from a Christian perspective. I want it to feel like I’m right there with you, walking through the experience together. I won’t go into too much detail about my family’s journey, as I’m working on a book where I’ll share more personal stories. But I’ll offer enough here to encourage you as we explore grief together.

GIVING YOURSELF GRACE DURING THE GRIEVING PROCESS

<itunes:title>GIVING YOURSELF GRACE DURING THE GRIEVING PROCESS</itunes:title>

In this episode, we’ll talk about the importance of giving yourself grace during the grieving process. Grief can be exhausting—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s not a straight line; it’s a journey full of ups and downs, moments of hope followed by moments of deep sadness. And through it all, it’s crucial to show yourself the same grace that God offers you.

In Lamentations 3:22-23, we’re reminded that “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.” This means that each day, God gives us new mercy and grace. We’re not expected to have it all together, and we shouldn’t expect that from ourselves either. Some days, just getting out of bed can feel like an accomplishment—and that’s okay.

Giving yourself grace means allowing yourself to feel whatever emotions arise without judgment. It’s okay to feel sad, to feel angry, or even to feel numb. There’s no timeline for when you "should" feel better. Be kind to yourself, knowing that God understands the weight of your grief and is walking with you through it.

Another aspect of grace is letting go of the need to “perform” your grief in a certain way. Sometimes, we can feel pressure—from others or ourselves—to appear strong, to move on quickly, or to keep it together. But as Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9, God’s power is made perfect in our weakness. It’s in the moments when we feel weakest that God’s grace is strongest.

In this episode, I encourage you to lean into God’s grace and give yourself permission to grieve without expectation or pressure. Take things one day at a time, knowing that it’s okay to not be okay, and that God's grace is enough for you.

      <itunes:title>GRIEF LOOKS DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE.</itunes:title>

In this episode, we’ll explore how grief is unique to every individual. You may have already noticed this in your own journey: some people cry constantly, while others may not shed many tears. Some people may need time alone, while others crave the company of loved ones. No two people grieve the same way, and that’s okay.

From a Christian standpoint, we’re reminded that God created us uniquely, and therefore, we respond to loss in different ways. Psalm 139:14 says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” This means that the way you process grief is as individual as you are. It’s important to resist comparing your grief to others’. If a friend seems to be coping better or worse than you, remember that God is working with each of us differently.

You may experience a wide range of emotions—sadness, anger, confusion, numbness—and that’s perfectly normal. You might also find that your grief comes and goes in waves, showing up at unexpected moments. One day you might feel strong, and the next, completely overwhelmed. That’s okay. Your grief is valid, no matter how it looks.

This episode is a reminder that, as Christians, we should extend grace not only to others but also to ourselves. God meets each of us where we are, and He understands our hearts even when we don’t have the words to express our feelings. So, however your grief manifests, know that God sees you, He understands, and He is holding you close.

UNDERSTANDING GRIEF: A CHRISTAIN PERSPECTIVE!

      <itunes:title>UNDERSTANDING GRIEF: A CHRISTAIN PERSPECTIVE!</itunes:title>

In this episode, we’ll begin by defining grief. Grief is the deep sorrow we experience after losing someone or something dear to us. But from a Christian perspective, grief is more than just pain—it’s a profound emotional response that points to the depth of love we had for the person we’ve lost.

Grief is a journey we walk through with God by our side. The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:4 that “there is a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” This reminds us that mourning is a natural part of life, even in our walk with God.

We can take comfort in knowing that God grieves with us. The shortest verse in the Bible, John 11:35, says, "Jesus wept." Even Jesus, fully aware of God's plans, wept at the death of His friend Lazarus. It’s a powerful reminder that grief, while painful, is a natural part of life and not something we should suppress or rush through.

I want to encourage you to lean into your grief and allow yourself to experience the emotions that come with it. The journey may feel heavy at times, but remember that God promises to comfort those who mourn (Matthew 5:4). He is with you in every tear, and in every moment of sorrow, He is drawing near to you.
