Welcome to the History Mixtape, a podcast that explores the past as a way to better understand the present. Each season (or mixtape) addresses a new historical theme, exploring that theme around the world. Each episode, we dive into a moment in time. Sometimes, it’s a hit single, like Ancient Egypt. Other times, it’s a historical deep cut. Regardless of each track’s historical fame, each season is curated to show a well-rounded perspective on that theme while keeping things efficient with short, digestible episodes. The purpose of a mixtape is to create hype around an upcoming album. And our hope is that, with the History Mixtape, we’ll spark curiosity around a moment in history that will lead to further exploration. So, join us track by track as we travel back into the past to explore the story of our world on the History Mixtape.
