A podcast by the sound community for the sound community!

Let’s explore sound together:

Pedro Costa was born with a 50% hearing loss but his love and passion for studying sound and playing music has only amped up and flourished throughout the years, even turning the passion into a profession becoming an acoustics engineer and becoming a CEO of his own company, Auricle, producing open-ear cartilage conduction headphones called Auricles.

They send sound through the ear cartilage instead of blocking your ear canal, while still maintaining a good audio quality.

Alongside Auricle, Pedro has a mission: To spread knowledgeable, factual and educational information about sound in all its wonderful facets.

In a time with an abundance of podcasts, there are not a lot of them surrounding sound, so Pedro invites experts within their field of sound to come in and just have fun nerding out about their passion.

In each episode, we sit down with specialists across audio, hearing, technology, research, product design, and sound strategy — from those developing hardware and software to those analyzing markets, advising teams, and challenging how we think about listening. These are the people helping shape the future of sound: not only by building products, but also by studying them, testing them, explaining them, and influencing the direction of the industry.

And we want to share it with you!

Behind the Podcast:

Produced by:

Auricle: https://auricle.io/

SG Multimedia: https://sg-multimedia.com/

Host and founder: Pedro Costa

Videographer and Audio specialist: George Yank

Editor and Transcriber: Helena Duarte

SoMe and management: Andreas Olesen

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@auricleheadphones

Contact:

E mail: highonsoundpodcast@gmail.com
