Gestation 004, Part 1 — Is There an Author? begins a new sequence of conversations about authorship, identity, characters, and artificial participants.

G.H. Hovagimyan, Remo Campopiano, and Adrianne Wortzel consider what happens to the idea of the author when thought and language are distributed across several people, archives, synthetic voices, and AI systems.
