Dr Pieter Groenewald is the leader of the Vryheidfront plus (Freedom Front plus). Under his leadership the party expanded its focus from only Afrikaans minority rights to include all minority right's issues in the country. This shift in focus led to the party receiving its highest vote shares in both the most recent national and local government elections. The party's main goal is the devolution of powers to allow for self-determination on the community level, a goal that is in line with section 235 of the constitution. In the episode we touch on topics such as crime, corruption, self-determination, how apartheid should be viewed and much more.

Reverend Keenth Meshoe is the leader and founder of the African Christian Democratic Party. He has served in South Africa's parliament since he was first elected there in 1994. The party campaigns on a policy offering grounded in their religious faith, promoting a non-racial, united South Africa as the way forward politically. In our conversation we touch on topics ranging from infrastructure development, respect, youth unemployment, crime and corruption.

Vuyolwethu Zungula is one of the founders and the leader of the African Transformation Movement, as well as being the youngest party leader in parliament. The party wears its Christian values on its sleeve and uses the religion as a guide for the policy direction of the party. While still a very new party, they have started to make waves, especially recently with Mr Zungula's work to prosecute the Phala Phala farm scandal. He brings the energy of youth and I found our conversation to be highly informative and engaging, covering a huge variety of solutions to the problems faced by South Africans.

The South African democracy is a miraculous achievement, but in the almost 30 years it has been in place, there has never been a change in the party governing the country. This has been to the detriment of the country, as they have been allowed to proceed, unhindered, as they have failed to provide the future they promised to the people of the country. It is time for this to end, the 2024 elections present us with an opportunity to send a message and move back on to the right track. We just need to ask for that change. That is why I am talking to the leaders of the opposition parties, they are the ones that might be in charge of bringing about the change. View this as an easy introduction into the political landscape of the country and familiarise yourself with it over the next 18 months, because when the time for change is here, we desperately need to answer the call.
