Flawda Girls’ Diaries is an audio collection of some almost entirely untrue short stories that trace the divine feminine through dirt roads, orange groves, and their unspoken truths tucked inside a Southern Black girl’s diary.

Inspired by the short story collection Quiet Storms of a Flawda Girl’s Diary, these episodes carry the voices of women and girls from the 20th and 21st centuries as they confess their most provocative passions, irreverent truths, and secret reckonings.

Told through diary entries, each episode takes you on an intimate journey through love, loss, healing, humor, magic, and straight-up shenanigans. From a divorced woman discovering yoga (and the fine instructor who teaches it), to a church girl wrestling with desire, a pregnant wife questioning everything, or a First Lady leading a congregation she’s not sure she believes in—every episode is a raw, lyrical ride through Florida’s muggy, magical, and emotionally messy backroads.

✨ Some stories are bizarre. Some are funny. Some are quietly holy.

Aaliyah always had hands like velvet and hustle like fire—twenty-two and finally taking over the town salon she grew up in. But between shop-floor shade, a busted-lip beef, and a building that creaks like it’s got secrets, the weather starts talking back. When a tropical swirl turns monster, an ex-con neighbor named Marvin shows up with plywood, a hammer, and a gentleness she didn’t see coming.

By candlelight and radio slow jams, they get cozy—stitching wounds, fixing fireplaces, and finding a softness in the middle of a Category 5. But storms don’t just rip roofs; they pull up roots. A fallen oak, a flooded living room, a jealous almost-something named D, and a salon that needs saving—love won’t be easy, but it might be worth rebuilding for.

This is a story about ownership and aftermath—of a shop, a house, a body, and a future. About a woman claiming what’s hers, a man trying to be better than his rap sheet, and how tenderness can bloom even when the wind says otherwise.

Flawda Girls’ Diaries is a fictional audio collection of short stories told through the confessions, contradictions, and quiet revolutions of Southern Black women and girls. From heartbreak to healing, magic to mess, these diary-style episodes live somewhere between memory and make-believe.

📓 New episodes drop every 1st and 3rd Sunday on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Substack.

In this raw and reflective episode, Naomi takes us through the quiet unraveling of a relationship she saw coming undone long before it actually ended.

He wasn’t cruel. He wasn’t cold. He just wasn’t right. And deep down, Naomi always knew.

Through humor, heartbreak, and hard-won wisdom, she revisits the yellow flags she ignored: 🚩 The cigarette habit she tried to overlook. 🚩 The height difference she tried to unlearn. 🚩 The fraternity culture she tried to squeeze herself into.

This is a story about compromising too much, shrinking too small, and the power of finally choosing yourself—even when someone else ends it first.

Because sometimes the biggest betrayal isn’t what they did. It’s what you abandoned in yourself to keep them.

Flawda Girls’ Diaries is a fictional audio collection of short stories told through the confessions, contradictions, and quiet revolutions of Southern Black women and girls. She never asked for more than comfort, affection, and the soft thud of his boots in her hallway once a month. But love, even in the shadows, leaves a mark.

This is the story of Mrs. Jones, the woman behind the rumors. Told through the eyes of a woman who never claimed to be the victim or the villain. This diary entry explores love without titles, shame without confession, and motherhood forged in secrecy. It’s about the women we don’t talk about, but who live beside us in pews, in clinics, and in quiet corners of the South.

This is a story about desire, survival, and the legacy left behind when women love in the dark.

Flawda Girls’ Diaries is a fictional audio collection of short stories told through the confessions, contradictions, and quiet revolutions of Southern Black women and girls.

In Candace’s neighborhood, the Candy Lady’s house was a childhood rite of passage. Tall uncut grass, large pickles, hot sausages, quarter juices, Laffy Taffys, and Now & Laters. But ever since the Candy Lady got herself a man, something about the place changed.

Possums in cages. Rabbits with bloody feet. Gator eyes glinting in the dark.

When Candace discovers her beloved pet bunny trapped in their backyard “farm,” she and her cousin plot a late-night rescue mission that turns into a full-blown heist.

Disnee’s childhood was filled with parades, fireworks, and Mickey Mouse smiles. Her whole family worked at Disney—her mom danced in the parades, her dad swept the streets, and she wanted to believe that maybe, just maybe, magic was real.

But beneath the fantasy was family dysfunction, shouting matches, and a battle of the sexes she was too young to grasp.

Now grown, Disnee shares the moment she stopped believing in magic, why she can’t stand her name, and how Disney went from her blissful escape to her origin story as a misanthrope.

Credits: This tale was written and told by Sh’Kia.
