In this first episode, we critically analyze this statement and question the politics behind it. This narrative, often framed as “progressive,” is deeply rooted in casteist ideology that demands that Dalits erase their identity to be accepted.

We are honored to speak with three courageous Dalit women who are political leaders, thinkers, and writers. Dhana Kumari Sunar, a writer, researcher, and political leader; Anjana Bishankhe, a former parliament member; and Sitadevi Baudel, the first Constituent Assembly Member, are boldly challenging this narrative.
