Good evening. Delaware. I'm Michael Mosby.

Step outside and you'll feel that mild air right away, we're sitting at a comfortable 53 degrees under a clear sky. That's well above the usual chill for mid-March. We gained nearly three minutes of daylight today, pushing sunset past 7 o'clock. It's a beautiful start to the weekend.

As the sun sets. Tonight brings increasing clouds, northern areas drop to around 37 degrees overnight. Central Delaware settles near 38, down south stays mildest with a low of 41. It stays dry for your evening plans.

Sunday looks decent but breezy, highs reach 57 up north and 56 in the center. Southern Delaware stays cooler at 52, while east winds gust up to 25 miles an hour at the coast.

Temperature-wise. The real story arrives Sunday night, rain develops statewide after 8 P.M. Showers become likely overnight as temperatures actually rise, expect lows in the upper 40s. It's a wet start to the work week.

Monday brings a line of strong thunderstorms, we could see damaging winds and heavy rain. Highs surge to 68 degrees, with that's about 20 degrees above normal. Then, the bottom falls out.

A powerful cold front crashes through Monday night, we may even see a few snow showers before dawn. Temperatures plummet into the low 30s.

Tuesday feels like a different season, highs only reach the upper 30s under partly sunny skies. Winds gusting to 40 miles an hour make it feel much colder, it stays brisk through Wednesday morning with lows near 24.

We slowly rebound late in the week. Highs return to the 50s by Friday and Saturday under sunny skies.

Monday, folks. We'll be back with your next forecast evening.

See you tomorrow.

      <itunes:title>Delaware Weather 3/10 Morning - Dense Fog Advisory</itunes:title>

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Michael Mosby.

Step outside right now and you'll feel something bizarre, it's 48 degrees at sunrise. In early March. With fog thick enough to blur your headlights.

But here's where it gets wild. We're about to challenge a record that's stood since 1977.

Once that fog burns off around 9 A.M., sunshine takes over and temperatures explode. Northern Delaware climbs to 77 degrees — just three degrees shy of the all-time March 10th record. Central Delaware hits 74. Down at the beaches, you'll see 59 thanks to that south breeze off the still-frigid Atlantic. These are late April numbers showing up six weeks early.

As the sun sets. Tonight stays mild. Lows around 50 statewide under mostly clear skies. Another round of coastal fog is possible after midnight, though confidence is lower this time.

Wednesday brings more warmth and sticky air, highs reach the mid 70s inland, low 60s at the coast. Clouds build through the day as a strong cold front barrels in from the west. A few showers pop up late afternoon, especially across western Delaware, southwest winds gust to 20 miles an hour.

Temperature-wise. Now here's the plot twist. Wednesday night into Thursday morning, that front crashes through with showers and thunderstorms. Some could turn severe with damaging wind gusts, the front clears by late Thursday morning, then temperatures nosedive. You'll hit your daily high just after midnight Thursday. Then fall through the 50s into the 40s by afternoon as northwest winds howl.

Friday brings sunshine and highs near 50. The weekend looks quiet — partly sunny Saturday and Sunday, low to mid 50s. Rain returns Sunday night into Monday.

Enjoy the record warmth while it lasts. The weather's about to flip the script.

Looking ahead.

See you this afternoon.

Good afternoon. Delaware. I'm Michael Mosby.

Step outside right now and you're feeling 56 degrees. Not bad for early March. But hold onto that thought. Because we're about to crank the heat.

Today brings wall-to-wall sunshine. Northern Delaware hits 69 degrees around 4 P.M. Central areas reach 67. Down south along the coast? You're sitting at 55. That ocean water is still cold, keeping the beaches cooler. Winds stay gentle from the south, 5 to 10 miles an hour.

Tonight, patchy fog rolls in after dark. Lows drop to the mid-40s. That fog could stick around into early Tuesday morning, especially near the water.

Tuesday turns up the dial even more. Northern Delaware reaches 73 degrees. Central areas hit 70. The coast holds at 55, but that's still pleasant for March. Mostly sunny with light winds.

Wednesday brings the warmest day of the week. Highs reach the low 70s inland — we could challenge some records. Clouds build in the afternoon. And a few showers may pop up after 2 P.M. Winds pick up from the south, gusting to 25 miles an hour.

Here's where it gets wild. Wednesday night into Thursday, a strong cold front barrels through. Showers become likely, with a chance of thunderstorms overnight. Thursday sees rain showers, especially in the morning, with temperatures dropping to the mid-50s. West winds gust to 20 miles an hour behind the front.

By Thursday night, showers taper off and skies clear. Temperatures crash to around 30 degrees — a 40-degree drop from Wednesday. That's the kind of swing that makes your thermostat dizzy.

Friday through the weekend, we settle into classic March weather. Highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Partly sunny skies with a slight chance of showers late Sunday.

Enjoy the warmth while it lasts.

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Michael Mosby.

If you stepped outside at sunrise, you probably couldn't see your own car. Dense fog has swallowed southern Delaware and the coast, dropping visibility to a quarter mile in spots. But don't worry — the sun's about to burn through it by mid-morning.

Once that fog lifts, we're in for something special. Sunshine statewide with temperatures climbing well above normal for early March. Up north, you'll hit 69 degrees. Central Delaware tops out around 67. Down along the southern coast, that chilly Atlantic water keeps things cooler — Here comes 55 degrees. Light winds out of the south, maybe picking up to 10 miles an hour by afternoon. Perfect weather for a lunchtime walk if you ask me.

Tonight, patchy fog creeps back in after 2 A.M. As temperatures drop into the mid-40s statewide. Could be widespread again along the coast and inland areas.

Tuesday brings more of the same — fog early, then mostly sunny skies. Northern Delaware climbs to 73 degrees. Central areas hit 70. The southern coast stays at 55, thanks to that stubborn ocean chill. Another foggy night follows with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Wednesday stays mild with highs in the low 70s and a slight chance of afternoon showers. But Wednesday night into Thursday, things change fast. A strong cold front sweeps through with widespread rain and possibly thunderstorms. Winds could gust to 30 miles an hour Thursday, with rain likely through the morning. Behind that front, temperatures crash — Thursday night drops to 30 degrees with a chance of lingering rain or snow showers. Friday rebounds to the low 50s with partly sunny skies. The weekend looks seasonable with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Enjoy the warmth while it lasts.

Good afternoon. Delaware. I'm Matt Mullins.

If you stepped outside this morning, you probably couldn't see much. Dense fog swallowed the I-31 corridor overnight. And it's still clinging on. That fog advisory lifts at 9 A.M. As a warm front pushes through, so visibility improves as the morning rolls on.

Behind that front? March decides to skip spring and jump straight to summer. Northern Delaware hits 70 degrees this afternoon. Central Delaware climbs to 70 as well. Southern Delaware stays cooler at 61, thanks to that ocean breeze keeping things in check. But here's the twist — a cold front barrels through with showers and a few thunderstorms.

Southern Delaware sees the highest rain chance, about 70 percent between 11 A.M. and 5 P.M. Central Delaware gets a 40 percent shot at showers and storms from 11 A.M. To 4 P.M. Northern Delaware barely catches the action, just a brief 24 percent chance around 1 P.M. Nothing severe expected, but you might hear some rumbles south of I-31.

Tonight, high pressure slides in. Skies clear, winds calm. And lows drop to the low 40s statewide. Patchy fog returns near the coast.

Here's your heads-up for the week ahead. Monday brings sunshine and highs in the 50s to upper 60s. Tuesday stays mild with partly sunny skies near 70. Wednesday climbs into the low 70s before clouds roll in.

Thursday's when things flip. A strong cold front crashes through with widespread rain. Highs hit the upper 50s to low 60s before temperatures nosedive. Behind that front, lingering rain or even snow showers Thursday night as lows plunge to the low 30s. Friday rebounds to the low 50s with partly sunny skies. The weekend looks mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Michael Nally.

Step outside right now and you can't see 20 feet in front of you. Dense fog has swallowed the state whole, dropping visibility to a quarter mile or less. If you're heading out before 7 A.M., slow it down and flip those headlights on. The fog lifts by mid-morning as warmer air pushes through.

And warm it gets. Northern Delaware hits 70 degrees this afternoon — that's 31 degrees above normal for early March. Southern areas stay cooler near 61, but still mild. The catch? Rain moves in, especially south of I-Ninety-Five. Showers are likely between 7 A.M. and 5 P.M. Down south, with a a chance. Central Delaware sees rain through early afternoon. A cold front sweeps through tonight, bringing a slight chance for thunderstorms along the coast. Nothing severe, just a little rumble.

Tonight, skies clear and temperatures drop to the low 40s statewide. West winds calm down to almost nothing.

Monday brings sunshine and pleasant conditions. Highs reach the upper 60s in the north, while southern Delaware stays cooler near 52. It's a beautiful start to the week.

The warming trend continues Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs climbing into the low 70s. Clouds increase Wednesday as a storm system approaches from the west.

Thursday is the day to watch. A strong cold front barrels through, bringing widespread rain and gusty winds. Highs reach the low 60s, but temperatures crash behind the front. By Thursday night, lows plunge to the low 30s, with a chance for lingering rain or even snow showers as cold air rushes back in.

Friday turns partly sunny with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s — a return to more seasonable March weather.

One more thing — spring forward tonight. Clocks move ahead one hour for Daylight Saving Time. Set your alarms accordingly.

      <itunes:title>Delaware Weather 3/7 Evening - Shower Showdown Rising</itunes:title>

Good evening. Delaware. I'm Michael Nally.

Step outside this morning and you’ll feel that damp, misty air… classic early March fog blanketing the state. Currently 47 degrees, but that’s just the opening act. The real drama unfolds tonight as a warm front surges north, turning our quiet Saturday into a stormy Sunday.

Up north. Wilmington starts mild at 50 degrees tonight, but temperatures rise overnight—hitting 57 by dawn. Showers and thunderstorms roll in after 9 P.M., with a. Sunday stays unsettled: highs near 67, but rain lingers until afternoon. The silver lining? Clearing skies by Sunday night, with lows dipping to 41.

Central Delaware gets the brunt of the storm. Dover sees thunderstorms likely by midnight, with gusty southwest winds at 10 to 15 miles an hour. Sunday’s high of 68 feels almost summer-like… until the cold front sweeps through, triggering more storms by afternoon. Then, a sharp cooldown: lows Sunday night fall to 42.

Down south, the beaches stay cooler but wetter. Lewes sits at 48 degrees tonight, with fog giving way to thunderstorms by sunrise. Sunday’s high struggles to 60, but the real story is the wind—15 miles an hour gusts—and an a chance of storms. By Sunday night, it’s back to 42 degrees, with lingering drizzle.

Looking ahead. Monday brings sunshine and a brief respite—highs in the 60s statewide. But Tuesday? The warmth explodes: 74 up north, 73 in Dover. And 58 at the beaches. Then, another storm system arrives Thursday, with thunderstorms and a wild temperature swing—highs in the 60s plummeting to freezing overnight.

Today’s fog is just the appetizer. Tonight’s storms and Sunday’s cooldown are the main event. But hang on—spring’s warmth is right around the corner. We’re gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight each day. And the spring equinox is just 13 days away.

See you tomorrow.

Good evening. Delaware. I'm Michael Nally.

That gray blanket overhead? It’s not just morning fog—it’s the opening act for a wild 24 hours. We’re sitting at 47 degrees under overcast skies right now, but don’t let that calm fool you. Tonight, a warm front sneaks in like a thief, sending temperatures *rising* overnight while showers and even a few rumbles of thunder roll through. By Sunday, we’re flirting with 70 degrees in some spots before a cold front slams the door shut. Classic Delaware: winter’s last gasp and spring’s first tease, all in one weekend.

Northern Delaware gets the first taste of drama tonight. Showers and thunderstorms fire up after 9 P.M., with temps *climbing* from 50 degrees at sunset to near 57 by dawn. Sunday brings a soggy high of 67 before the cold front sweeps in by afternoon, leaving behind clearing skies and a chilly 41 by Monday morning.

Central Delaware is where the action peaks. Thunderstorms—yes, in *March*—roll in just after midnight, with the best chance around 1 P.M. Sunday. You’ll wake up to 59 degrees—after a "low" of 53 that feels more like a high—then hit 68 by afternoon before the front resets things. Winds shift from a breezy southwest to a gusty west, perfect for blowing those storm clouds out to sea.

Down in Southern Delaware, the story’s similar but slightly tamer. A slight chance of rain showers overnight gives way to a *cooler* Sunday—highs only near 60, with thunderstorms likely by 2 P.M. The front’s impact here's milder, but don’t put away the umbrella just yet. By Sunday night, you’re back to 42 degrees under clearing skies.

Here’s what’s coming after the front. Sunshine returns Monday. And so does *real* spring warmth. Highs jump to 68, then *76* by Wednesday—31 degrees above normal for mid-March. Enjoy it, because Thursday brings a reality check. Another storm system barrels in, bringing showers and a *plunge* back to 31 degrees by Friday morning. We could even see a rain-snow mix overnight—because of *course* we’re not done with winter’s tricks yet.

Watch for dense fog near the coast tonight—visibilities could drop below a quarter-mile, so slow down if you’re out late. And keep an eye on the radar after noon Sunday if you’ve got outdoor plans.

We’re gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight every day now—sunrise at 6:27 A.M., sunset at 6:01 P.M. Spring’s coming, but not without a fight. Tonight’s warmth is a preview; Thursday’s chill is winter’s last stand.

See you tomorrow.

      <itunes:title>Delaware Weather 3/7 Morning - Foggy Start, Sunny Day!</itunes:title>

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside right now and you’ll feel that damp, clingy air—42 degrees with fog thick enough to blur the tree line. Classic early March in Delaware, where winter and spring still can’t decide who’s in charge. But here’s the twist: the fog clears by noon. And then we’re off to the races with a wild temperature rollercoaster.

Up in Wilmington and Newark, you start chilly at 52 degrees today, but that’s just the opening act. Overnight, temperatures actually rise—yes, rise—to near 60 by dawn Sunday as a warm front surges in. Rain showers arrive by 8 P.M., peaking around 4 A.M. With a likely chance. By Sunday afternoon? You're hitting a balmy 68 under gusty west winds. Then the cold front sweeps through, dropping temps back to 41 by Monday morning.

Central Delaware gets a milder version of the same story. Dover and Smyrna hit 57 today with a slight rain chance, then warm overnight to 55 before climbing to 70 on Sunday. But those gusts—up to 25 miles an hour—will make the rain showers feel sharper. By Sunday night, you’ll need a jacket again as temps plummet to 43.

Down in Lewes and Rehoboth, it’s a different flavor. You start cooler at 50 degrees today, but the real drama comes Sunday: thunderstorms possible by afternoon, with a likely chance of rain. Highs only reach 61—cooler than the north—thanks to those ocean breezes. Then, like clockwork, the front passes. And temps drop to 43 overnight.

This is classic Delaware—three different weather worlds in one state. But here’s the kicker: after this weekend’s chaos, we’re looking at summer-like warmth by midweek. Highs near 75 on Tuesday, then a crash back to reality with rain and 50s by Friday.

If your weekend plans involve being outside, keep that umbrella within arm's reach. You'll need it.

See you this afternoon.

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside and you mightn't see the neighbor's house. We've dense fog blanketing the area, thick enough for a Dense Fog Advisory until 10 A.M. For southern Delaware and the beaches. Visibility could drop under a quarter mile. If you're driving near the Delaware Memorial Bridge or heading down Route 32 degrees, take it slow. Use those low beams and keep plenty of distance between bumpers.

In Here's strange part, despite the gray gloom, temperatures are running 32 degrees above normal. Northern Delaware climbs to 52 degrees today. Dover and points south hit 57. But that damp air steals the warmth, making it feel cooler than the thermometer reads. You might catch a stray shower this morning, but most of us stay dry.

Tonight brings a weather reversal you've to see to believe. Temperatures actually rise overnight. Northern Delaware dips to 51 early, then climbs back to 60 by sunrise. Central Delaware starts at 55 and reaches 61. Even the beaches hold in the upper 40s. Showers become likely after midnight, especially up north.

Sunday turns wild. A cold front sweeps through, sparking widespread showers and rumbles of thunder—mostly south of Dover. Highs surge into the upper 60s before reality hits. Monday bounces back with sunshine and highs near 70.

Looking ahead. Tuesday hits 75 degrees—that's 32 degrees above normal—before a midweek storm brings rain and knocks us back to the 60s.

In One last thing, we're gaining daylight fast. Sunrise at 6:27 A.M., sunset at 6:01 P.M. Spring is just 13 days away.

See you tomorrow.

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside and you're wrapped in fog so thick you could cut it with a knife. We picked up nearly a tenth of an inch of rain overnight. And that murky, damp feel is sticking around.

Up in Wilmington, you're sitting at 39 degrees right now with fog cutting visibility to almost nothing. That fog clears by mid-afternoon, but clouds hang tough all day. High today reaches 49 degrees with a northeast breeze around 10 miles an hour. Tonight drops to 40 degrees with patchy fog creeping back in and light rain possible after 7 P.M. Dover starts at 41 degrees under that same blanket of fog. You'll hit 50 degrees today once the fog thins out by 4 P.M. Tonight settles at 40 degrees. And scattered light rain moves in between 10 P.M. and 3 A.M. Down along the coast in Rehoboth Beach, it's 38 degrees with thick fog blanketing the shoreline. Highs today only reach 44 degrees with a steady northeast wind at 10 to 15 miles an hour. Tonight drops to 39 degrees with fog persisting and light rain possible around midnight.

Now Looking at the week ahead. Saturday brings a brief warm-up with highs from 56 to 63 degrees statewide, but showers roll in Saturday night with a few thunderstorms possible. Sunday stays unsettled with rain showers likely and highs in the low to mid 60s.

Then the real warmth arrives. Monday turns mostly sunny with highs near 67 degrees. Tuesday climbs into the low 70s — well above average for early March. Wednesday stays warm near 71 degrees but brings a chance of showers as a cold front approaches.

Keep an umbrella handy this weekend. You'll need it.

Good afternoon. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

If you stepped outside this morning, you probably felt it before you saw it. Fog. The thick, damp kind that makes headlights look fuzzy and turns your windshield into a wet canvas. We're sitting at 45 degrees right now. And that fog? It's not going anywhere fast.

In the next 24 hours. Today's story is all about the gray. Northern Delaware climbs to 51 degrees with clouds locked in tight. Around 1 P.M., you might catch some light rain — nothing heavy, just enough to remind you winter's still got a grip. Central Delaware gets a bit warmer at 57 degrees, though the fog stays stubborn. Down south, you're looking at 51 degrees with mostly cloudy skies. East winds stay gentle at 5 to 10 miles an hour statewide.

Tonight, the moisture ramps up. Rain moves in between 9 P.M. and 2 A.M. Across the north, with the heaviest action around midnight. We're talking a quarter to half inch up there. Central and southern areas see lighter amounts, but that fog? Still hanging around. Lows settle at 40 degrees north, 42 degrees central, 41 degrees south. Northeast winds pick up to 10 to 15 miles an hour.

Friday stays dreary. Fog lingers into mid-morning before giving way to mostly cloudy skies. Highs reach 49 degrees north, 50 degrees central, 45 degrees south.

Here's your heads-up for the week ahead. Saturday warms nicely into the low to mid 60s, though showers arrive Saturday night. Sunday stays mild in the mid to upper 60s with more showers likely. Monday brings sunshine and highs near 64 degrees. Then Tuesday and Wednesday? That's when things get good. Mostly sunny skies and highs climbing into the low to mid 70s. Spring equinox is just two weeks out. And next week's warmth will feel like a sneak preview.

Enjoy the fog while it lasts — or don't. Either way, we'll be tracking it.

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

If you're squinting through your windshield right now, you're not alone. Dense fog has wrapped the entire state in gray gauze. And it's sticking around. A Dense Fog Advisory covers the coast until 10 A.M. Visibility could drop to a quarter mile in spots, so ease off the gas and flip those headlights on.

In the next 24 hours. Rain rolled through early this morning, peaking around 6 A.M. Up north. Northern Delaware hits 51 degrees today with scattered showers through lunch. Central Delaware climbs to 57 degrees, but that fog? It's camping out all day. Southern Delaware sits at 51 degrees with the same murky mess.

Tonight, the rain makes a comeback. Lows drop to 40 degrees statewide. Northeast winds kick up to 15 miles an hour, adding a damp bite to the air. And yes, there's a full moon tonight. Though you'll need x-ray vision to spot it through these clouds.

Friday stays gray and cool. Highs in the upper 40s to near 50, with patchy fog lingering like an uninvited houseguest.

But buckle up, because the weekend flips the script. Saturday jumps to the low 60s up north, mid-60s central. Sunday? Upper 60s. By Tuesday and Wednesday, we're talking highs near 76 degrees in northern Delaware. That's nearly 38 degrees above normal for early March. Your daffodils are about to get very confused.

Spring doesn't officially arrive for two more weeks. But the weather? It's showing up early to the party.

Good evening. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That quarter-inch of rain yesterday left the ground soggy. And now the air is so saturated you can practically taste the moisture. Fog is settling in for an extended stay. A Dense Fog Advisory kicks in at 6 P.M. Tonight for coastal Delaware and the beaches. Visibility could drop below a mile. If you're driving tonight near the shore, take it slow and use those low beams.

In the next 24 hours. Here's how the next 36 hours play out across the state. Northern Delaware sits at 42 degrees right now. Fog develops after 8 P.M., then rain moves in around midnight. Expect a soggy Thursday morning commute with rain peaking around 6 A.M. Highs tomorrow reach 53 degrees.

Central Delaware follows a similar script. Fog rolls in this evening with rain becoming likely after midnight. You'll see 58 degrees tomorrow afternoon — the warmest spot in the state.

Down in southern Delaware, temperatures sit at 40 degrees. The rain chances are a bit lower, but fog will still be an issue overnight and into Thursday morning. Highs top out at 53 degrees.

Thursday night into Friday stays gray and damp with off-and-on drizzle. But here's the twist. A major pattern shift arrives this weekend. Highs jump into the upper 60s Saturday, then push into the low 70s by Tuesday. That's about 40 degrees above normal for early March.

The spring equinox sits just over two weeks away. The weather seems ready to fast-forward.

In Sunrise at 6, 32 A.M., sunset at 5:58 P.M. Full moon tonight — if you can see it through the fog.

Good afternoon. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That steady rain left us with nearly a third of an inch overnight. Step outside now and you'll feel that damp, gray chill — 46 degrees under thick clouds. But the real headline today isn't the rain we've had. It's the fog that's coming.

In the next 24 hours. Central Delaware is sitting pretty at 52 degrees this afternoon, while Northern Delaware reaches 50. Southern Delaware is a bit cooler at 47. You might catch a quick sprinkle between now and 4 P.M. Statewide. Nothing heavy — just enough to keep those umbrellas handy.

Tonight, the story shifts. A Dense Fog Advisory kicks in at 6 P.M. For coastal areas and the Delaware Bay. Visibility drops below a mile. Lows settle into the low 40s — 42 in the north, 41 in central Delaware. And 40 down south. Rain becomes likely overnight, with patchy fog making travel tricky.

Thursday keeps the wet theme going. Rain showers are likely across the state, with highs climbing to 55 in the north and 61 in central Delaware. Southern Delaware hits 55. Thursday night brings another round of showers. And yes, even a chance of thunderstorms.

Here's where it gets interesting. Friday stays cool and damp. But Saturday? A dramatic turnaround. Highs surge into the low 70s across northern and central Delaware — that's nearly 40 degrees above normal for early March. Southern Delaware hits 61. We're gaining over two minutes of daylight each day now. And the spring equinox is just two weeks away.

The weekend stays mild with highs in the mid-60s to near 70, though shower chances linger. By early next week, we could see 73 degrees. Winter is loosening its grip.

Tonight's full moon won't put on much of a show — too many clouds. But the warmth coming this weekend? That will be worth watching.

That dusting of snow yesterday? Already a memory. You're waking up to 38 degrees under a thick blanket of gray. Patchy fog is hugging the landscape, so give yourself extra time on the roads this morning.

In the next 24 hours. Here's the breakdown for your Wednesday. Northern Delaware climbs to 50 degrees today under stubborn clouds. A chance of rain develops this afternoon. Central Delaware reaches 52 degrees with similar gloom. Down in Sussex County, highs top out near 47 degrees with fog lingering through mid-morning.

Rain becomes the main headline tonight. Expect an 80 percent chance across the north and central regions after dark. Southern Delaware sees rain likely by evening. Lows settle in the low 40s statewide.

Thursday keeps the taps running. Showers are likely with highs reaching 55 degrees up north. Central Delaware could hit 61 degrees. We may see over an inch of rain by Friday.

Here's the payoff. Saturday kicks off a major warm-up. Highs surge into the low 70s by early next week. That's nearly 38 degrees above normal for early March. Spring is knocking on the door.

Rain today through Friday. Then a weekend turnaround with highs climbing from the 50s into the 70s by Monday.

Good evening. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That wet stuff on your windshield this morning? that's the last gasp of a wintry mix that dropped a quick dusting of snow overnight. We're stuck in the gray today, caught between low pressure to our west and a stationary front draped right across Delmarva. Translation: clouds, fog. And periods of rain.

In the next 24 hours. Northern Delaware starts at 38 degrees with rain likely through 6 A.M. and patchy fog reducing visibility. Highs climb to 50 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Central Delaware sits at 41 degrees with similar fog and drizzle, reaching 52 degrees this afternoon. Down in Southern Delaware, you're starting at 43 degrees with a southwest wind around 10 miles an hour. Highs near 51, but temperatures actually fall to around 45 by afternoon.

Tonight, the fog thickens again. Rain returns late, with lows settling in the low 40s statewide.

Thursday brings more rain showers and even a chance of thunderstorms Thursday night. Highs jump to the mid-50s north and near 61 degrees in central Delaware.

Here's the payoff for slogging through two damp days. High pressure builds this weekend. Saturday highs surge into the low 70s. Sunday and Monday stay mild in the mid-60s to near 70. Tuesday could hit 73 degrees. That's nearly 38 degrees above normal for early March.

We're gaining over two and a half minutes of daylight each day now. Sunrise at 6:32 A.M., sunset at 5:58 P.M. and tonight's full moon will be playing hide-and-seek behind all those clouds.

Keep the umbrella handy today and Thursday. The weekend rewards your patience.

Good evening. Delaware. I'm Jack O'Malley.

Step outside and you'll feel it. That damp, heavy fog clinging to everything like a wet blanket. We saw a dusting of snow overnight — just a tenth of an inch — and temperatures bottomed out at 40 degrees. Classic early March, where winter and spring keep trading places.

In the next 24 hours. In Tonight, a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect statewide until 10 P.M. Visibility could drop to a quarter mile or less, so take it slow on the roads. Rain arrives around 7 P.M. and really ramps up between 9 and 10 tonight. Northern Delaware gets soaked with up to half an inch, while central and southern areas see lighter amounts.

Down in Sussex County, it'll feel like 37 degrees by 10 P.M. Even though the thermometer reads 43. But don't get used to the chill.

Wednesday brings a break in the rain with highs ranging from 51 in the south to 54 up north. But that's just the opening act.

In Here's your heads-up for week ahead, a significant warm-up arrives Thursday and accelerates through the weekend. By Friday, northern Delaware hits 67 degrees. Saturday and Sunday? We're talking upper 60s to near 70 statewide. That's nearly 40 degrees above normal for early March. Showers and a few thunderstorms ride along with that warmth, especially Thursday night and Saturday night.

Tonight's full moon won't break through the clouds, but it's there — and we're gaining over two minutes of daylight each day now. Spring equinox is just over two weeks away.

If you're driving tonight, keep those low beams on. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves.

Take care

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That light dusting of snow you might have seen overnight? Already melting away. Delaware sits at 37 degrees right now with moderate drizzle, caught in a classic transition zone. An Arctic high pressure system is retreating offshore while moisture streams in from the southwest. That combination means one thing: gray, damp. And dreary.

In the next 24 hours. Northern Delaware holds at 41 degrees this afternoon with patchy fog and drizzle. Central Delaware climbs to 44 degrees under similar gray skies. Head south and you'll find 43 degrees with fog lingering along the coast.

The real action arrives tonight. Rain becomes widespread after dark. Northern Delaware sees rain peaking around 9 P.M. With up to half an inch possible. Central and Southern Delaware get the heaviest downpours closer to 10 P.M. Lows hold steady in the low 40s statewide, keeping everything wet.

Wednesday brings a brief break. Temperatures jump to 54 degrees in the north and 56 degrees centrally. Southern Delaware reaches 51 degrees. A chance of rain lingers, but nothing like tonight.

Here's the bigger picture for your week. A significant warm-up takes hold. Thursday through Sunday, temperatures climb into the 60s. By Monday, we could hit 70 degrees. That's a 40 degrees-degree swing from this morning's chill. Multiple rounds of showers accompany the warmth, with thunderstorms possible Thursday night and again this weekend.

Tonight's full moon won't be visible through the clouds. But spring is just 17 days away. And we're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight each day.

Grab an umbrella before you leave the house. You'll need it later.

For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves.

Good evening. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside and you might think winter called it quits. Clear skies, calm winds, 30 degrees. It's a setup. That high pressure sitting north of us is funneling in cold Canadian air. Meanwhile, a warm front is dragging moisture straight from the Southern Plains. When those two collide overnight, the calm breaks. We're looking at a wintry mix that will complicate your Tuesday morning.

In the next 24 hours. Here's the timeline. Northern Delaware is under a Winter Weather Advisory from 3 A.M. To 8 A.M. You'll see a coating of snow and a light glaze of ice before the changeover. Roads could be slick for the early commute, so take it slow. Tonight, lows hold near 31 degrees north and central, 33 degrees south. Snow pops up late evening in Southern Delaware and spreads north. By dawn, most of us transition to plain rain.

Tuesday stays raw and rainy. Highs top out around 42 degrees north, 46 central. and 45 south. Rain continues Tuesday night, adding another quarter to half inch to the buckets.

Then comes the plot twist. The pattern flips mid-week. That cold air gets shoved out. Wednesday we jump to the mid-50s. Thursday and Friday bring low 60s to near 70 degrees. That's 31 degrees to 31 degrees above normal. The trade-off is rain chances daily, with a slight chance of thunderstorms Thursday night into Friday. The weekend looks partly sunny and mild, with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s.

Spring is officially just 18 days away. After this week, it might actually feel like it. We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight every day now. Sunset pushes past 6 P.M. Before you know it.

Grab that umbrella before you head out tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves.

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That bright sunshine overhead? Don't let it fool you. We're locked in an Arctic deep freeze right now — 26 degrees at 7 A.M., about ten degrees colder than normal for early March. Your car doors are stiff. Your breath hangs in the air. Classic late-winter cold snap.

In the next 24 hours. But here's where it gets interesting. High pressure slides offshore tonight, flipping our winds southeast. That pulls moisture our way. and light snow develops this afternoon.

Northern Delaware sees mostly cloudy skies with just a slight chance of flurries mid-morning. You'll hit 36 degrees by afternoon, but wind chills feel like 30 degrees early on. Dress warmly for that morning walk.

Central Delaware gets a better shot at snow between 9 A.M. and 4 P.M. Nothing heavy, just enough to dust the grass. Southern Delaware waits until after 1 P.M. For the best chance, with northeast winds gusting to 15 miles an hour along the coast.

Tonight's when the real action arrives. Snow spreads statewide, then mixes with freezing rain late. Lows hover around 30 to 33 degrees. Tuesday morning's commute could be slick — give yourself extra time. By Tuesday afternoon, we flip to plain rain as temperatures climb into the mid-40s.

Now here's your heads-up for the week. Wednesday jumps into the mid-50s to near 60. Thursday and Friday hit the 60s. By Sunday, northern Delaware could touch 70 degrees. That's a 35-degree swing in less than a week. Spring equinox is just 18 days away. We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight daily — sunrise at 6:35 A.M., sunset at 5:56 P.M.

Drive carefully if you're out Tuesday morning. Ice doesn't announce itself.

Good morning. Delaware. I'm Aaron Jolly.

An arctic front just slammed through overnight. and you're feeling the aftermath. Step outside right now and you'll find 36 degrees with clearing skies. but that's as good as it gets today, folks.

In the next 24 hours. Northern Delaware caught a quick burst of rain between 7 and 10 A.M. Central Delaware saw a brief shower around 8 A.M. Southern Delaware mostly dodged it. Everyone tops out near 41 or 42 degrees this afternoon under mostly cloudy skies. Not exactly beach weather.

Tonight's where things get interesting. Skies clear out completely. and temperatures absolutely crater. Northern Delaware drops to 21 degrees. Central Delaware hits 23. Southern Delaware bottoms out at 26. North winds at 5 to 15 miles an hour will make it feel even colder. That's the kind of night where you want an extra blanket.

Monday brings a brief break — mostly sunny skies and highs around 36 or 37 degrees statewide. Enjoy the quiet while it lasts.

Tuesday morning's commute could get messy. A storm system rolls in overnight Monday with snow and freezing rain before flipping to plain rain. Keep an eye on that one.

Here's your week ahead. The real story is the warmup. By Thursday, temperatures surge into the 60s. Some spots could touch 70 degrees by Saturday. That's nearly 30 degrees warmer than today. Winter's making one last stand right now, but spring is waiting in the wings. We're gaining over two minutes of daylight daily. and the spring equinox is less than three weeks out.

This cold snap won't last, but it'll bite while it's here.

Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz.

Step outside right now and that fog wrapping around your house? It's freezing fog. We're sitting at 27 degrees. and moisture from last week's snowmelt is meeting cold air off the Atlantic. Translation: black ice is coating the roads. Watch yourself before 8 A.M. but here's where it gets interesting. That fog burns off by mid-morning. and suddenly we're looking at a gorgeous February afternoon. Northern Delaware climbs to 55 degrees. Central Delaware hits 56. Down south near the beaches, that ocean breeze keeps you cooler at 47 degrees.

In the next 24 hours. Enjoy the warmth while you've got it. Because an arctic front crashes the party tonight. Fog rolls back in after 10 P.M. As temperatures drop to 36 degrees statewide.

Sunday flips the script completely. Low pressure rides that stalled front. and northern Delaware gets rain between 7 A.M. and 4 P.M. With highs only reaching 44 degrees. Central Delaware sees 47 with rain starting late morning. Southern Delaware stays drier at 45 degrees with just a slight chance.

Then comes the gut punch. Sunday night, temperatures crash into the low 20s. That's a 30-degree drop from this afternoon. Your thermometer might get whiplash.

Monday stays cold with highs only in the mid-30s. Tuesday and Wednesday bring another system with rain and possibly some wintry mix inland. but hang tight. A significant warm-up arrives late week. We could hit the mid-60s by Friday.

In Quick note, we're gaining over two minutes of daylight each day now. Sunrise today is 6:38 A.M., sunset at 5:54 P.M. Spring equinox is just 20 days away.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Delaware Weather Podcast — it's Thursday, February 26th.

That innocent-looking sky this morning? Don't trust it. Rain is marching north from the Carolinas. And it's got Delaware in its sights.

Down south, you're getting the worst of it. Rain rolls in around 10 A.M. And peaks near 1 P.M. We're talking about a quarter inch before it's done. Highs reach 42 degrees with a light north breeze.

Central Delaware, your rain window runs from 11 A.M. Through 5 P.M. And here's the twist.. Late this afternoon, you might see a brief rain-snow mix sneak in. Highs top out at 44 degrees.

Northern Delaware, you catch a break. Just a chance of rain after noon. Mostly cloudy skies and highs near 44 degrees.

Tonight's when things get interesting. Temperatures crash hard. Lows drop to 26 degrees up north, 27 degrees central. And 31 degrees south. Patchy fog develops overnight in the southern and central counties.

Friday flips the script completely. Sunshine returns statewide. Highs climb to 48 degrees north and central, 42 degrees south.

The weekend looks even better. Saturday pushes into the mid-50s in spots. But don't get too comfortable.. A cold front crashes the party Saturday night. Monday brings a real shot at snow with highs only in the low 30s. Wednesday, another system moves through with rain likely.

That temperature drop is no joke.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Delaware Weather Podcast — it's Wednesday, February 25th.

That slick feeling under your tires this morning? That's black ice saying good morning. We've got a Special Weather Statement until 10 A.M. — patchy ice from overnight freezing, plus light precipitation making roads extra slippery. Leave early. Seriously.

Northern Delaware gets the snow show from 6 to 11 A.M., heaviest around 7. Step outside right now and it feels like 26 degrees. Winds flip from south to southwest around 8 A.M. But here's the good news.. You climb to 47 degrees by 4 P.M.

Central Delaware trades snow for rain. Falls from 6 A.M. To noon, peaks around 10. Winds gust to 15 miles an hour around 11 A.M. You hit 48 degrees by 4 P.M.

Down south along the beaches, same rain timeline — 6 A.M. To noon, heaviest at 22 degrees. Highs top out at 45 degrees this afternoon.

Tonight, skies clear statewide. Lows drop to 31 degrees north, 32 central, 35 along the coast.

Thursday? Round two. Rain and snow likely, especially Dover south. Highs in the lower 40s.

The week ahead brings a mixed bag. Friday starts sketchy with freezing rain possible, then clears to mostly sunny. Saturday is your winner — sunny and 53 degrees. Perfect. Then another system rolls in Monday with rain and snow chances.

One bright spot.. We're gaining over two minutes of daylight today. Sunrise at 6:42 A.M., sunset at 5:50 P.M. Spring equinox is just three weeks out.

Take it slow on those roads this morning.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Delaware Weather Podcast — it's Tuesday, February 24th.

We're gaining three minutes of daylight every single day now. Eleven hours and five minutes of sunshine yesterday. Spring's knocking.. But winter's still got the keys.

Step outside right now and you're looking at 30 degrees up north, 36 down south. Mostly sunny skies. That three inches of snow from Sunday? It's melting fast. Enjoy the quiet.. Because tonight gets interesting.

Snow returns after 1 A.M. Northern Delaware sees the heaviest action around 4 A.M. — a 60 percent chance — before it tapers off by 6 A.M. You're looking at a dusting, less than half an inch. Central Delaware gets a similar show, but with a twist. Rain may mix in briefly around 4 A.M. Before flipping back to snow.

Down south? Rain takes over between 3 A.M. And 6 A.M. No snow for you. Warmer air pushes in overnight. And temps actually rise to 36 by morning.

The real bite tonight? Wind. Northern Delaware drops to 22 degrees, but gusts to 15 miles an hour make it feel like 11 at dawn. Southern Delaware? Winds roar at 10 to 20 miles an hour, gusting to 30 overnight.

Here's your week ahead. Wednesday brings a thaw — highs near 50 down south, 48 up north. Then the mess returns Thursday with rain and snow. Friday? Freezing rain and snow mix. Saturday offers a reprieve with highs in the 50s. But snow chances creep back in by Monday.

Tonight's snow is light. But that wind will find every gap in your jacket.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Delaware Weather Podcast — it's Monday, February 23rd.

If you looked outside and thought "Did someone hit pause on the world?" — you're not imagining it. Delaware is buried under a historic blizzard right now. We've already picked up three inches in the last 24 hours, with another inch and a half overnight. And the storm's not finished with us yet.

Northern Delaware stays under a Blizzard Warning until 6 P.M. Heavy snow keeps falling until 2 P.M., dumping another 5 to 9 inches on top of what's already out there. Winds at 15 to 20 miles an hour make it feel like 22 degrees by early morning. Tonight? Lingering blowing snow and lows dropping to 23.

Central Delaware takes the same beating. Blizzard conditions through 2 P.M., with 5 to 9 inches piling up. Winds howl at 15 to 25 miles an hour, gusting to 40. Highs struggle to 37 degrees, but it'll feel like 22 degrees by 4 A.M. Tonight. Roads stay treacherous, especially with snow blowing sideways into the evening.

Southern Delaware gets the worst of it. We're looking at 8 to 12 inches of snow, with winds screaming at 20 to 35 miles an hour — gusts to 50 along the coast. That's hurricane force wind territory. Snow wraps up by 3 P.M., but the damage is done. Highs only reach 36 degrees. And it'll feel like 22 degrees by 5 A.M. Tomorrow. Coastal flooding is also a real concern today, with up to half a foot of water possible in low lying areas near shorelines.

Looking at the week ahead. We dry out briefly Tuesday — mostly sunny, mid 30s. But another round of light snow arrives Tuesday night into Wednesday, especially up north. Then temperatures climb into the 40s by Wednesday and Thursday, turning everything into slush. By Friday, we're finally drying out, with highs near 45 and a chance of rain. Saturday? We hit 51 degrees with sunshine returning.

Today is a day to hunker down. If you don't have to be on the roads, stay home. This is one of the most dangerous winter storms we've seen in years.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Delaware Weather Podcast — it's Sunday, February 22nd.

Okay folks, this is the real deal. We're staring down what could be Delaware's most significant winter storm in years. A potentially historic blizzard is taking shape right now. And by this afternoon, we're talking life-threatening conditions. This isn't just snow — this is crippling snowfall, hurricane-force wind gusts. And coastal flooding all hitting at once.

Right now you're at 37 degrees under overcast skies. Deceptive calm. But by 10 A.M., the first wave arrives. Rain mixing with snow at first, especially down south. By early afternoon? All snow. And once it starts, it doesn't stop until Monday.

Up in Wilmington and Newark, you've got a Blizzard Warning from 10 A.M. Today to 6 P.M. Monday. Thirteen to 19 inches of snow. Winds gusting to 40 miles an hour. Zero visibility at times. Tonight's low hits 30 degrees, but wind chills drop to 16. That's frostbite-in-minutes cold.

Down in Dover and Smyrna, rain changes to heavy snow by 2 P.M. Same totals — 13 to 19 inches. Winds hit 45 miles an hour. Tonight you're at 30 degrees, feeling like 15.

Now the coast. Rehoboth, Lewes, Georgetown — rain lingers longest here, mixing with snow by early afternoon. Ten to 14 inches of snow, but coastal flooding is the bigger story. One to two feet of water could flood roads tonight. Winds hit 60 miles an hour — strong enough to damage trees and knock out power. Tonight's low is 31 degrees, feeling like 20 degrees.

The week ahead? Tuesday brings a brief break — mostly sunny but bitterly cold, highs only in the low 30s. Wednesday warms to 43 degrees but messy, with rain and snow mixing. Thursday and Friday bring more rain, highs in the upper 40s. Saturday finally gives us sunshine and 50 degrees.

This storm will be talked about for years. Stock up on supplies. Charge your devices. Stay off the roads tonight and Monday. Move your car to higher ground if you're near the coast.

Alright. If this heads-up helped you prepare, share it with a neighbor. They need to know.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Delaware Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 17th.

Folks, grab that coffee and step outside. You'll feel 48 degrees of pure February kindness. No storms. No drama. Just a crisp, bright winter Saturday that practically begs you to get out there.

Here's the thing though. Delaware's pulling a classic move today. Up in Wilmington and Newark, you're soaking in near 50 degrees under blue skies. Winds barely whisper out of the west. It's the kind of afternoon where you forget what month it's. By sunset, you'll ease into the mid 30s. Cooler than yesterday, but honestly? Still lovely.

Slide down toward Dover and you're seeing 49 degrees. Northwest breeze picks up a touch. Five to ten miles an hour. Just enough to nip at your ears and remind you winter's still got a pulse. Tonight drops into the upper 20s, so you'll want a heavier jacket if you're heading out late.

Now the beaches. Rehoboth and Lewes, you're the cool kids today. Literally. Highs only hit 45 degrees with that northwest wind keeping things brisk. There's a tiny whisper of a stray sprinkle. Basically nothing. Tonight dips into the low 30s along the coast.

Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Sunday stays sunny with low 50s statewide. Then Monday through Wednesday, we climb into the mid 50s. No rain. No surprises. Just a slow, steady warmup. By Thursday? We might flirt with 60 degrees. In February. Let that sink in.

One more thing worth celebrating. We're gaining almost three minutes of daylight today. Sunrise hit at 6:32 this morning, so your Saturday coffee came with golden light on the side. Air quality sits moderate, so if you're sensitive, take it easy outdoors.

Alright. If this forecast helped you plan your Saturday, share it with a neighbor. Word of mouth keeps us going.

Stay safe out there, folks. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Delaware Weather Podcast. It's Friday, February 16th.

Folks, winter just reminded us it's still got the keys. Step outside and you'll feel 35 degrees up north. That's the kind of morning where your coffee steam disappears fast.

Here's the deal. The whole state is dry, sunny, and just cold enough to keep you honest. Up in northern Delaware, you're sitting at 35 degrees with a west wind running 5 to 10 miles an hour. That breeze has some teeth. Tonight drops to the upper 20s, and tomorrow barely nudges past 38.

Slide down to central Delaware and things warm up a touch. You're hitting 37 degrees today under crystal blue skies. Tonight holds near 30, and Saturday pushes to 40.

Now head south. Southern Delaware wins the warmth contest at 39 degrees. But don't celebrate too hard. Winds pick up to 10 to 15 miles an hour, so it feels cooler than the thermometer claims. Tonight settles into the low 30s, with tomorrow climbing to 42.

One bright spot? We're gaining almost three minutes of daylight today. Sunset pushes past 5:18 this evening. And with that waxing crescent moon at 19 percent, you'll want to step out tonight for some stargazing. Air quality is moderate, so maybe keep the jog short if your lungs are sensitive.

Here's your heads up for the week ahead. The weekend stays dry and seasonable, with highs flirting with the low 40s. Monday brings a mood shift. Clouds roll in and temperatures dip slightly. No big storms lurking, just classic late February keeping us on our toes. Bundle up if you're heading out this weekend.

Alright. If this forecast helped you plan your Friday, share it with someone who needs a weather friend. We appreciate every listen.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!
