This podcast brings together pro-life leaders and individuals of all stripes to have meaningful conversations about the issue of life. How do we tackle the massive injustice of abortion while keeping the abortion-minded woman at the forefront of our considerations? How do we hold heartbreak, anger, and compassion close to our hearts to minister to everyone impacted by abortion? How do we work with others with whom we differ ideologically on every other issue except the issue of abortion to promote a culture of life? These are just some of the questions we wrestle with on our Dear Jane podcast.

The other side only wants to highlight our differences, but we want to talk with people in the movement about what unites us. Dear Jane focuses on the one thing we can all agree on: the sanctity of every human life. Dear Jane will host the hard conversations, ask the tough questions, and acknowledge our differences while always keeping in mind our shared beliefs. Tune in to listen to heartfelt conversations and learn more about what your place in the pro-life movement may be!

The New Jersey attorney general created a strike force to investigate pro-life pregnancy centers.

One of those centers received a subpoena demanding ten years of private donor records.

No complaints had been filed. No fraud had been alleged.

The case went all the way to the Supreme Court, which ruled unanimously in the pregnancy center's favor.

Twenty-four hours later, the state found a way to keep fighting anyway.

That is just one case.

In New York and California, attorneys general are trying to silence pregnancy centers for simply telling women that abortion pill reversal exists. In Louisiana, a woman's ex-boyfriend ordered mifepristone online and coerced her to take it. And the drug whose label says one in twenty-five women will end up in the emergency room is now available to anyone with a few minutes and an internet connection.

Gabriella McIntyre is an attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom. She joins Dear Jane to walk through all of it, the cases, the creative tactics, the real stories behind the headlines, and answer the question most people are left with at the end:

What can the rest of us actually do about any of this?

What if the freedom abortion promises does not feel like freedom afterward?

Shaun Freeborn of Tradies for Babies joins Scott and Marcie to talk about what he calls one of the biggest lies young couples are told: that abortion will let them keep living the life they want.

For Shaun, that belief is personal. He and his wife had an abortion when they were 17. Years later, they still carry lasting regret and have turned that pain into a mission to help other men understand the role they can play when a woman is facing an abortion decision.

Shaun also shares how Tradies for Babies grew from tradesmen and blue-collar workers speaking up online into a grassroots movement with videos coming in from around the world. For many of them, it is the first time they have had a public place to talk about abortion, responsibility, and even their own grief.

The conversation also moves into abortion laws in Australia, the backlash men can face for speaking publicly, and why Shaun believes changing someone’s mind may require something more than the right argument. If abortion was supposed to help them move on with their lives, why is it the one decision they regret every day?

A waiting period. An ultrasound. A requirement that a physician perform the abortion.

A new study grouped measures like these under one category: abortion restrictions and linked states with more restrictions to higher maternal mortality.

That sounds alarming. But Dr. Christina Francis, a board-certified OB-GYN and CEO of AAPLOG, raises a basic question: how do these policies actually cause maternal deaths?

She joins Scott and Marcie to examine what the headline leaves out. How does requiring an ultrasound increase maternal mortality? Why is giving a woman more time before a major decision treated as a health risk? And why is physician involvement being framed as a restriction?

The conversation also turns to abortion-pill complications, including research finding that 83.5% of post-abortion-pill emergency room visits were miscoded as miscarriages and 76% of emergency room visits following the abortion pill were coded as severe.

Dr. Francis explains why those findings matter, what could happen as physician-only requirements are removed, and the challenges doctors face when they question the dominant abortion narrative within medicine.

Watch the full episode of Dear Jane to get the full conversation.

--

1:15 — When Maternal-Fetal Medicine Chooses a Side

3:27 — Do Abortion Restrictions Cause Maternal Deaths?

5:08 — Is a Waiting Period Really a Health Risk?

6:12 — How Does an Ultrasound Cause Maternal Death?

9:15 — What Actually Causes Maternal Death?

10:19 — 80% of Maternal Deaths Are Preventable

12:49 — When Pregnancy Isn’t the Cause

14:23 — Should Non-Physicians Provide Abortions?

16:20 — The Reality of a D&E Abortion

19:22 — How Safe Is the Abortion Pill?

22:00 — When an Abortion Is Coded as a Miscarriage

23:05 — The Trauma No One Warns Women About

23:50 — What Pro-Life Doctors Risk by Speaking Up

24:45 — 93% of OB-GYNs Don’t Perform Abortions

25:58 — Who Stands With Pro-Life Doctors?

What begins with the abortion pill does not necessarily end when the abortion is over.

Once taken, the abortion drug and biological remnants from the abortion enter a toilet, a sewer system, and eventually a wastewater treatment facility that was never designed to remove every pharmaceutical compound.

The chemical is only part of what enters the system. Liberty Counsel Action estimates that 30 to 40 tons of hazardous medical waste, including human remains, are being flushed into American waterways.

That makes mifepristone different from the other pharmaceuticals already raising concerns in the water supply. It was developed and FDA-approved to end a life in the womb by blocking progesterone, the hormone needed to sustain a pregnancy.

But does that anti-progesterone activity disappear once the drug enters the water system?

Issues in Law & Medicine,a study reported anti-progesterone activity in environmental water samples from Austin, Texas; Blacksburg, Virginia; and Carbondale, Illinois. The study does not establish that exposure through drinking water causes infertility, nor does it determine where the anti-progesterone activity originated. But it raises a question that has received remarkably little investigation: what happens after mifepristone enters the water system?

They also found that downstream levels were not appreciably lower than upstream levels in any of the three cities. In two, they were higher. The authors concluded that conventional water treatment was not consistently effective at removing the activity they detected.cking progesterone, what happens after it enters the water system?Could environmental exposure be one factor worth investigating when approximately 1 in 6 people of reproductive age worldwide experience infertility during their lifetime?Abigail Forman is a researcher and policy analyst with Liberty Counsel Action and the author of a comprehensive analysis on abortion drugs in America's water supply. She joins Dear Jane to walk through the research, explain what she believes the abortion industry and federal regulators have largely left unaddressed, and discuss why these questions deserve closer attention.

She also raises a question that stops the conversation cold: if women were required to decide whether to cremate or bury what the abortion pill produces, would more of them think twice?

Her argument reaches beyond the pro-life movement. It has several, and they do not always agree with each other.

Scott and Marcie discuss the Massachusetts bill that would allow abortion up to birth and the question it raises about messaging: As the movement has shifted its focus toward the mother, has it made a strategic mistake by stepping back from talking about the baby? They discuss fetal pain—what it is, how it shapes the conversation, and why some in the movement have moved away from talking about it.

They also examine the California lawsuit in which the state's attorney general is seeking more than $20 million and a permanent gag order against Heartbeat International and Real Options for telling women about Abortion Pill Reversal.

The redefinition of the family is not happening all at once.

It is happening one sentence at a time, buried inside 80-page bills that most lawmakers never fully read, drafted by legal bodies most people have never heard of, and framed as routine updates to reflect the modern reality of family life.

Patience Sunne, Engagement Director at Them Before Us, has been reading those bills. She joins Dear Jane to talk about what is actually in them: the removal of mother and father language from parentage laws, the legalization of surrogacy without a single background check, the quiet allowance of poly parenting slipped into a single line of code, and what any of it means for the child at the center of all of it.

Them Before Us recently released the Children's Rights Scorecard, grading all 50 states on how well their laws protect children's rights. You can look up your state. The grades are illuminating.

This is not a conversation about politics. It is a conversation about what children need and whether anyone in power is asking.

Watch the full episode on Dear Jane.

She was a nurse. She believed she was providing care and helping women. She had no idea what she was walking into.

Naomi Padilla spent four years inside a Tampa abortion clinic where, she says, surgical suites were wiped down with a household cleaner, women were processed like cattle, and the words baby and God weren't allowed to be spoken.

A woman who said she wasn't sure was still ushered through the abortion process.

A woman who called back, saying she was on the brink of taking her own life, received no emergency intervention. No one called 911.

And the number of procedures completed determined whether the staff got pizza or “the good lunch.”

When Naomi later met former abortion workers from across the country, she realized her clinic was not an isolated case. More than 700 workers have connected with And Then There Were None, many of whom have described similar experiences.

Then one day, a patient offered her $50 just to hear her baby’s heartbeat.

Naomi had not heard one in two years.

Everything began to change.

Today, Naomi is part of And Then There Were None, an organization that helps abortion workers leave the industry and begin healing. She joins Dear Jane to tell the story of what she witnessed, what finally changed her mind, and why she believes her story is only one of many.

A researcher at the Heritage Foundation and the author of the forthcoming book, Rethinking Fertility, she joins Dear Jane to talk about the 1.5 million frozen embryos currently in storage across the United States, human beings suspended in time, some for decades, and the fertility industry that created them with fragmented regulatory oversight.

Emma breaks down how genetic screening allows parents to test embryos for everything from Down syndrome to IQ, personality traits, and male pattern baldness, selecting which lives continue and which are destroyed. She also covers a federal class action lawsuit filed in California in 2025, where a woman destroyed her last remaining embryos based on a 98% reliability statistic that turned out to be scientifically unsupported.

And she asks the harder question underneath all of it: how did a $35 billion industry with the power to make these decisions end up answering to almost no one?

So he started Seven Weeks Coffee, named after a question his wife asked: When is a baby the size of a coffee bean? The answer is at seven weeks, the same point when a heartbeat can often be detected on ultrasound. The mission followed naturally: give 10% of every sale to pregnancy care centers and build it unapologetically pro-life from day one.

Nearly $2 million in donations later, he joins Dear Jane to talk about boldness in the marketplace, what the parable of the talents can teach entrepreneurs, and why the pro-life movement needs more Christians building businesses. Not because they were lectured or given platitudes, but because someone actually met their needs.

In this episode, Emily breaks down what a true funded alternative to abortion looks like: immediate support, mid-term stability, long-term independence. She makes the case that the pro-life movement can't only fight to end abortion without funding the alternative. The church, employers—and yes, even the government—all have a role to play.

This isn't a theoretical solution. It's happening right now. And it works.

If you're pro-life and you're serious about saving lives, this conversation will inspire and challenge how you think about what "winning" actually requires.

Grab your coffee because Scott and Marcie are catching you up on the pro-life headlines everyone’s talking about. First up: Puerto Rico just passed a law recognizing unborn babies as human beings… but abortion is still legal. So what does the law actually do? Is this an incremental win worth celebrating, or a symbolic step that changes very little? Scott and Marcie break down what it means, why some are calling it progress, and why others aren’t so sure.

Then they head north to New York, where lawmakers in this deep-blue state have introduced a slate of bills that will make your head spin. From targeting pregnancy help centers (again), to shielding abortion data from insurance oversight, and eliminating state-sponsored travel to pro-life states, these proposals raise serious questions about transparency and just how far abortion extremism is driving public policy.

👇 Follow Dear Jane & stay in the conversation

🌐 dearjane.org

📸 instagram.com/dearjanepodcast

📘 facebook.com/dearjanepodcast

It signaled impact.

In this episode, Nelly Roach, Founder and CEO of Choose Life Marketing, explains how Olive engages women at the exact moment they search for abortion online. Instead of being funneled exclusively toward abortion providers, women encounter immediate, private, life-affirming support and direct connection to local pregnancy centers.

This conversation covers:

• How abortion-related search traffic shapes decisions

• Why AI matters in digital abortion outreach

• What early engagement data is revealing

• How pregnancy centers can compete in a search-driven culture

• The ethical debate surrounding pro-life technology

Abortion is no longer only a legal or political fight. Frank Pavone to discuss what he's been doing since being defrocked and how that has affected his work in the pro-life movement, as well as where the Catholic Church actually stands on abortion, and what the pro-life movement does poorly in the fight for life. Pro-Life Leader Frank A. Pavone is one of the most prominent pro-life leaders in the world. Originally from New York, he was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1988 by Cardinal John O’Connor and has dedicated his entire life and ministry to ending abortion. In 1993 he requested and received permission to serve as the National Director of Priests for Life, which, under his leadership, has become the most prominent Catholic organization focused on ending abortion. He is also the President of the National Pro-life Religious Council and the National Pastoral Director of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign and Rachel’s Vineyard, the world’s most significant healing ministry after abortion.

On this episode of Dear Jane, Scott sits down with Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America (SFLA), to discuss the Pro-Life student today, specifically through the eyes (and voice) of Generation Z, the most targeted generation by the abortion industry. As President of Students for Life of America (SFLA), studentsforlife.org, Kristan Hawkins has spent more than 16 years building a national network of more than 1,400 student-led groups in more than 50 states, layering campus activism now with political engagement through Students for Life Action, which she also heads. With the Students for Life team, Kristan has launched key initiatives to mobilize pro-life activists such as the Campaign for Abortion Free Cities, StandingWithYou.org, and the Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement. Recently, she and her team are leading the pro-life movement’s response to the proliferation of dangerous Chemical Abortion Pills at ThisisChemicalAbortion.com. Each year, Kristan travels across the nation to speak on college campuses such as UC-Berkeley, Harvard, Dartmouth, and Ohio State University to educate our youth on the horrors of abortion. Video clips from these tours have been viewed tens of millions of times. She hosts a bi-weekly podcast called Explicitly Pro-Life where she interviews leaders such as Alveda King, Dennis Prager, and Charlie Kirk. Kristan regularly appears in the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, NPR and has been interviewed by every major television network in America.A frequent speaker and media analyst, Kristan’s expertise includes abortion, feminism, disability advocacy, and healthcare as she navigates the social conditions and public policy that impacts the human rights issue of our day.Kristan had the honor to announce the reversal of Roe v. Wade on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court on June 24th, 2022, witnessing the end of the Supreme Court's roadblock to state and federal engagement on abortion. Since launching Students for Life, the Pro-Life Generation has been given a voice in Kristan, and, with her help, they are using that voice to demand an end to abortion and a nation that truly “loves them both.”

In episode one of season three, Scott talks with Dr. Monique Ruberu who shares her experience as a women's health practitioner.During this conversation, Scott and Dr. Ruberu discuss some of the biggest medical fallacies she hears from the pro-abortion side, the dangers of chemical abortion, facts about abortion pill reversal, and much more! Dr. Ruberu also shares her perspective on what it's like being a pro-life OB/GYN, how pro-live medical students can be supported in their vocation, and what it looks like to help post-abortive women.Founded by Dr. Monique Ruberu, Natural Women’s Health is a 100% God-centered, pro-life, holistic, non-contraceptive-based, root-cause-seeking gynecology and fertility health organization, providing care for over 2,000 patients to date. God uses this group of medical professionals as instruments to save lives through counseling women against abortion and facilitating Abortion Pill Reversal. Free healthcare is provided to the destitute and abortion-vulnerable, and chastity, abortion recovery, marriage and faith are freely discussed with patients. Fertility challenges are solved without IVF, and countless preborn babies at high risk for miscarriage have been saved through expert progesterone monitoring and support. NWH provides a location where pro-life PA students, nursing students, and medical students can do clinical rotations to understand how to practice as a 100% pro-life medical provider. In addition to being a national pro-life public speaker and author, Dr. Ruberu began co-leading two 40 Days for Life Vigils in downtown Philadelphia, helping to facilitate daily coverage at both facilities for the past several years, including a personal commitment to pray and witness outside on a weekly basis. You can follow Dr. Ruberu on Instagram (@fertilitysolved), Twiitter (@MRuberu), and TikTok (@drmoniqueruberu)
