Boundaries teach people how to treat you. For a long time I wondered why me having such a big, giving, heart would get me stepped on .. it was because I was putting others first. Not prioritizing self and pouring from a full cup. You are worthy simply in your being, not just for your doing. As adults carrying a lot in life, we can sometimes suppress our emotions or even judge ourselves for feeling deeply. It’s okay to be human and hold space for all that you are. Lack of emotional regulation leads to emotional unavailability, emotional overwhelm, and even being emotionally stunted. Also, a lot of drug and alcohol abuse stems from seeking solace outside of self when in reality, WE hold the key to our own peace 🫶🏽🫶🏽

I'm T'yona, this is a deeply personal episode of Tee Talk where I open up about choosing myself after a long season of self-abandonment and people-pleasing.

I share how 2025 became the year I embarked on a spiritual journey that was years in the making. Life experiences cracked me open and journaling helped me finally face the shadows I'd been avoiding my whole life without even realizing: the over-giving, the fear of rest, the need to control everything, and the wounded feminine energy I didn't know I was operating from.

From there I get into the spiritual side of my healing — reconnecting with God through nature, learning that intuition and rest are birthrights not things to be earned, balancing masculine and feminine energy, and letting go of needing anyone else's validation or approval. I talk about my clairaudience, following my spiritual gifts, and how healing brought back parts of me I'd buried since childhood — dancing, drawing, creativity, even my diet.

Healing is raw, unfiltered, and a little all-over-the-place at times, but the throughline is simple: you are worthy exactly as you are, your cup has to be full before you can pour into anyone else, and choosing yourself isn't selfish — it's sacred.
