Welcome to my little slice of life where I speak candidly and openly about my experiences as a dark skin, plus-sized woman. Often times it’s difficult to be unapologetically yourself when society is continuously demanding you to pardon your existence. This forced sense of shame and guilt affects so many aspects life— your career, your relationships, your desires, & everything in between. Because of this, it’s so easy to run away from who you are. Utilizing distractions, delusions, and dic— i mean dating……. to avoid discipline, boundaries, and self-love. As I continue to grow into the woman I envision myself as, join me as I lean into those things. Join me as I evolve. Join me in being the best and most authentic version of myself. All the things society tells a black girl with thick thighs and bright eyes everything she’s not allowed to be: confident, funny, outspoken, sexually liberated, bitchy, sexy, intelligent, talented— the list goes on. JOIN ME! This is a safe space. This is a play place! This is for accountability. Relatability. For me. For the haters. & you know what… It's also for the Barbz. TO FREEDOM!

In this week's episode, I give a little insight into what it means to REALLY fail. Following your passion, having your dream lifestyle, and living in your purpose, all sound great! However, at times it can feel unrealistic or even times intangible. Why is that? A lot of our inhibitions (or mine, anyway!) a rooted in fear. Not fear of life, others, or anything else other than... you guessed it! FAILURE. But what does failure actually mean? What does it look like? How can we kick fear to the curb & convince ourselves "I GOT THIS!"? Take a listen to find out.
