<itunes:title>#45- Who's Your Daddy</itunes:title>

This episode starts peacefully.

That’s a lie.

We opened by asking a simple question: why has there been so much consistent, generational hate toward Jewish people? No Twitter fingers, no screaming — just confusion. After actually researching (yes, growth), we unpacked how centuries of scapegoating, religious tension, and conspiracy brain-rot built the “outsider” narrative. We broke down Zionism in the simplest terms possible: the belief that Jewish people should have a homeland where they can be safe. That’s it. Breathe.

Then we spiraled internationally.

Apparently Kim Jong Un might be grooming his 13-year-old daughter to run North Korea one day. Because nothing says “stable geopolitics” like middle school succession planning.

Meanwhile, the internet tried to convince everyone that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Reza Arafi got packed up in an airstrike 30 seconds after getting the job. We had to pause the chaos and separate “massive claim” from “actual reporting.” As of now? Still alive. Twitter: 0. Reality: 1.

We also discovered America basically has bases everywhere and South Africa said, “Respectfully, we’re not picking sides.” Non-alignment era. Very brand-safe.

Then capitalism entered the chat.

A casual $111 BILLION bid reportedly has Paramount Pictures (Skydance backing) beating Netflix in the Warner Bros. asset war. Meaning they’d control DC properties like Batman and Superman. Translation: if we don’t get faster sequels now, we riot (peacefully).

Corporate paranoia didn’t stop there. Burger King is testing an AI named “Patty” that listens to employees through headsets to see if they’re smiling hard enough. We’ve officially entered “the fry machine is snitching on you” territory. Innovation or dystopia? You decide.

Sports came through to humble us.

Premier League debates got loud — Arsenal F.C. cooking, Manchester City F.C. lurking, and a broken Manchester United F.C. fan coping publicly. Therapy pending.

Locally? Pain.

Kaizer Chiefs F.C. lost 3–0 at home to Orlando Pirates F.C.. And if that wasn’t enough, a father video-calling his own son with friends just to shout “WHO’S YOUR DADDY?” is generational trauma. We will unpack this in therapy.

So naturally we did the only logical thing:

We decided to buy a PSL team.

Yes. From “we’re broke” to “let’s acquire Mamelodi Sundowns F.C.” in under 15 minutes. Eight-year master plan. Board seat. Halftime shows for upcoming rappers. Financial delusion? Maybe. Vision? Absolutely.

Then wrestling.

WrestleMania 41 predictions are locked in. Randy Orton winning his 15th world title? We’re calling it. CM Punk vs Roman Reigns without Bloodline interference? Please. For once. We are tired. Also, we admitted Logan Paul being elite in-ring is annoying but undeniable. Heel excellence.

We closed with Gauteng stress. The Gautrain Management Agency taking over operations has people nervous because PRASA trauma runs deep. Can we keep the “Gautrain standard” or are we about to test our faith?

In summary:

• We solved anti-Semitism (not really). • Verified world leader survival statuses. • Audited billion-dollar media deals. • Bought a football club in theory. • Booked WrestleMania better than creative. • And processed a 3–0 loss like mature adults (we did not).

In this episode of Certain Voices, the crew starts with “how was your week?” and somehow ends up debating culture, dogs, J. Cole, WrestleMania, and the future of humanity. There are wild personal stories, questionable opinions, and way too much excitement about music, wrestling, and sports loyalty. Things briefly get deep, then immediately unhinged again as AI, science, and tech enter the chat. It’s chaotic, funny, and surprisingly thoughtful—like a group chat that accidentally became a podcast.

The crew kicks off the new year by unpacking goals, expectations, and the very real pressure of “doing 2026 right.” From personal growth plans to music drop predictions (yes, Kendrick and Drake are in the chat), the conversation moves fast and unapologetically.

Things take a sharp turn into sports chaos with WWE Royal Rumble predictions, bold takes, and arguments that absolutely did not need to get that serious. The energy stays high as the hosts bounce through movie and TV recommendations, economic shifts like the weakening dollar, and standout moments from AFCON—where African football once again proves it’s pure drama.

Between the jokes and side comments, there’s real reflection: setting realistic goals, growing the podcast audience (especially tapping into more female listeners), and staying curious about culture, money, and entertainment. Personal stories keep it grounded, laughs keep it moving, and the range of topics reminds you why Certain Voices never sticks to just one lane.

New year. Same chaos. Better conversations.

Somewhere in between, we roast the music industry for leaking more than a broken faucet, celebrate sports like we actually played in them, and pretend we understand China’s investments in Africa.

Also on the table: boxing highlights, politics (because why not ruin the vibe), and the eternal debates of marriage, last names, and whether future parenting should come with a manual.

In this episode, we bounce through a mix of real talk and jokes. We open up about our podcasting journey so far and how we’re figuring things out along the way. Music comes up — from album releases to what we’ve been listening to — before the conversation shifts into relationships: personal standards, what it means to date someone always searching for a “better option,” and how being a middle child shapes perspective. We share some personal updates too, like struggles with running and reflecting on how good (or bad) we are at giving advice. Things get heavier when we react to a controversial story about a teacher, but we balance it out with laughs, car talk, and a nod to Women’s Month. As always, it’s a mix of banter, honest reflection, and our take on what’s happening around us.

In this episode, Kage and Bounty dive into a relaxed yet thought-provoking virtual conversation, showcasing their signature blend of humor, insight, and camaraderie. They kick things off by reflecting on recent church visits before shifting gears to dissect the alarming decline in Jaguar's sales and swap personal takes on cars and auto trends. The conversation takes a sharp and humorous turn as they unpack a strange incident involving the French president and a wild lawsuit filed by a Kenyan lawyer seeking justice for Jesus Christ. The hosts also explore UFC controversies, Nigeria’s debt challenges, and China's recent gold discovery, balancing serious commentary with light-hearted banter. Wrapping up their winter special, they play a fun game about music artists and collaborations, emphasize the importance of education, and tease an upcoming guest appearance—all while reaffirming the need to keep learning and growing together.
