In this episode, I sit down with a special guest, Joanne from Coalition for the Revitalization of Asian American Studies at Hunter (CRAASH) for a conversation about the deep-rooted systems that continue to shape the experiences of Black, Asian, and other marginalized communities. Together, we unpack topics like chattel slavery, class division, systemic racism, incarceration rates, NYCHA, and gentrification while exploring the similarities in the struggles faced across communities of color.
