We're Dan & Heather, a couple of movie lovers (and a couple, too). But strangely, there isn’t a lot of overlap in what each of us has seen. Heather is crazy for musicals and horror; Dan loves sci-fi and action. Between the two of us, there’s a surprising amount of blind spots.

In this podcast, we pick a movie one of us hasn’t ever seen before. We talk about what we know – or what we think we know – about the movie. Then after watching it, we do a deep dive into the film, discussing what makes the movie work (or not), how the movie has aged since it came out, and also get into the behind-the-scenes of the movie’s production.

One part comedy podcast, one part in-depth movie review, we tackle enormous hits you won’t believe one of us hasn’t seen and obscure favorites just out of the mainstream. If you’re ready for a distinctly unique perspective on movies you love, movies you hate, and movies you’ve always been curious about, give us a listen!

https://blindspotsandsecondthoughts.com

"What do you mean, you haven't seen it?"

Blind Spots & Second Thoughts is a podcast featuring Dan and Heather (that's us!), a couple of movie lovers -- and a couple -- who love to have occasionally deep, but more often than not, incredibly silly conversations about movies.

In each episode of Blind Spots & Second Thoughts, we'll pick a movie that one of us has seen, and the other hasn't. Usually, that's Heather. Before we watch it, we'll talk about what we think we know, and what we can remember about the movie. Then, after we watch it, we'll recap the movie, talk about what worked and what didn't, what's stood the test of time and what's aged like milk. And probably make some jokes.

Join us as we watch all kinds of movies, from some of our obscure favorites that maybe flew under the radar for most, to some absolute must-see classics you can't believe one of us hasn't seen (it's probably Heather). From fun little arthouse movies to the MCU, we've got it covered, and one of us hasn't seen it (again, probably Heather).

Blind Spots & Second Thoughts premieres January 1st, 2025
