Audio versions of my Beyond Spacetime Substack posts.

Here we take an in-depth look under the hood of what we refer to as ‘physical reality’: What IS a particle of matter? How DOES Relativity do what it does? How come gravitation? What is it about physical matter that makes it give rise to the effect referred to as ‘curvature of spacetime’? How does that curvature manifest? Why does it affect material objects the way it does, from falling raindrops to orbiting space stations to entire galaxies? And what about ‘inertial mass’ – how exactly does the energy content of any material particle or object determines the resistance it has to changes in velocity? And what’s the connection between that effect and gravity, making inertial mass precisely equal to gravitational mass?

The key to ALL of this is a fact that’s been proved in all manner of ways over the past 100 years – most recently by scientists at SLAC US National Accelerator Laboratory in 1997 and again in 2021 at RHIC, US Brookhaven National Laboratory, by literally creating particles of matter from pure light . Put simply, matter is formed from light. This gives us clear reasons – with the maths for those who take to such things – for all those various features of our daily experience which we take for granted but have no explanations for.

This fact also gives us a vital clue to a likely reason why there’s so much less antimatter than normal matter in the universe.

Join us on this remarkable journey of discovery, and see the mysterious transform magically into the obvious before your eyes, as we unwrap the consequences of light-formed matter. Watch Einstein’s mass-energy equivalence and de Broglie’s matter-waves come full circle to turn a universe of questions into a cosmic light-show of crystal-clear answers. More than this, watch the floodgates of potential new scientific discoveries open wide as we fully embrace this scientific truism that’s been staring us in the face for a century or more.

Not least, discover all the amazing detail these scientific findings reveal of the deeper Reality that underlies our space-time existence. See the words of Max Planck and Erwin Schrödinger, the founding fathers of Quantum Mechanics, come to life: "I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness", and "Consciousness cannot be accounted for in physical terms, for consciousness is absolutely fundamental". See the realm of consciousness emerge to show us who we truly are.

About the author: Dr Grahame Blackwell holds a PhD in AI and an Hons degree in Maths. His independent research over the past 30 years, into Particle Physics and Relativity, has led to peer-reviewed publication in a leading systems-science journal of papers on Special Relativity and General Relativity, based on a systems approach focusing on the interrelationship between light & matter.

A radically new look at the nature of our physical reality, including: What causes Relativity? How does 'curved spacetime' cause gravity? What is matter made of? Is light speed really an absolute limit? If so, how come quantum entanglement? Is time an illusion? What IS antimatter? Is wave-particle duality really a thing? How can photons behave like they do? What causes electric charge? Where does consciousness fit into all of this?

Plenty to think about - and plenty to talk about, in future episodes.
