Exploring what we teach, why we teach it, and whether the answer still makes sense in an age of instant information, technology, and AI.

Hosted by educator and writer Laura Bungarz, the podcast takes a critical look at curriculum, teaching, learning, assessment, technology in schools, and the changing role of knowledge in education.

Each episode explores questions like what students actually need to know, the purpose of memorization, what deserves classroom time, how AI is changing writing and assessment, and whether schools are still preparing students for the world they are entering. Along the way, we'll also explore curriculum reform, critical thinking, student engagement, information literacy, educational technology, and the broader purpose of school.

We'll consider whether we should be asking better questions about what belongs in the curriculum, what students should understand rather than simply remember, and how education can adapt when information is no longer difficult to access.

Because sometimes “because the curriculum says so” is where the conversation should begin, not where it should end.
