<itunes:title>🚨 FLOOD WARNING - Arkansas Weather 3/14 - Evening</itunes:title>

Good evening. Arkansas. I'm Michael Mosby.

Folks. We're enjoying a calm and mild start to the weekend. Step outside and you'll feel temperatures sitting in the low 70s under mostly cloudy skies. It feels more like late April than mid-March. You'll want to enjoy the relative quiet while you can, because a potent weather system is taking shape to our west.

The drama arrives Sunday. A powerful cold front will sweep statewide, bringing a line of strong to severe thunderstorms. The main threat will be damaging winds, potentially gusting over 60 miles an hour. There's also a low risk for a brief tornado within the line, in Central Arkansas, expect storms to fire up after 2 P.M. The high hits 75 degrees early, but temperatures will crash into the 50s by evening as the front passes.

Moving on. Head north and the timeline speeds up, while northwest Arkansas sees storms between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. Highs reach the mid-60s before plummeting into the 40s. Down in Northeast Arkansas, you're not in the clear until after 3 P.M. Some storms there could be severe, with a high near 70.

Temperature-wise. The story doesn't end Sunday night, the real shock is the cold. Once the rain clears, temperatures plummet, lows by Monday morning drop into the 20s statewide. Wind chills will make it feel like the teens, here comes a hard freeze for much of the state. This is a massive swing, going from 75 degrees Sunday to freezing Monday morning.

Looking ahead, the cold snap is brief, while by Tuesday, highs rebound into the 50s under sunny skies. The warming trend continues mid-week, with highs back in the 70s by Wednesday. We could see temperatures nearing 80 degrees by Friday and Saturday.

This Sunday, keep a close eye on the weather alerts.

See you tomorrow.

      <itunes:title>Arkansas Weather 3/9 Morning - Flood Warning</itunes:title>

Good morning. Arkansas. I'm Michael Mosby.

Step outside right now and you're feeling 58 degrees. Because the weather's about to put on a show.

Thunderstorms are already firing up across central and southern Arkansas. Little Rock, you're in the thick of it from 7 A.M. To 4 P.M., with the heaviest action around 10 A.M. We're talking large hail and damaging winds possible. Northeast Arkansas, your turn comes between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M., peaking around 2 P.M. Northwest Arkansas? You catch a break — just a brief rain chance at 7 A.M., then mostly sunny skies.

Highs today hit the mid-70s statewide. Little Rock and Fayetteville both reach 76. Jonesboro tops out at 74. South winds gust to 20 miles an hour, stronger in the northwest at 30.

Tonight stays mild in the mid-60s. A few lingering storms possible after 7 P.M. Across central Arkansas.

Tuesday cranks the heat even higher. Most areas push near 80 degrees — Little Rock hits 81. Fayetteville 78. Jonesboro 79. Storm chances ramp up Tuesday night.

Here's where it gets wild. Wednesday brings the main event — heavy rain and strong storms spread statewide. Little Rock drops from 73 degrees to 68 as storms roll through. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches expected. Flash flooding possible where storms train over the same areas.

Wednesday night, temperatures crash hard. Central Arkansas falls to 42. Northwest Arkansas plunges to 35. Northeast Arkansas drops to 40. That's a brutal 30-degree swing in 24 hours.

Thursday brings sunshine but cooler air — only upper 50s to low 60s. Friday rebounds nicely with sunshine and mid-70s. The weekend looks beautiful — sunny skies, upper 70s.

Stay weather-aware today and especially Tuesday night into Wednesday.

See you this afternoon.

Good afternoon. Arkansas. I'm Matt Mullins.

Step outside right now and you'll notice something — the rain's gone. We picked up about a fifth of an inch overnight, but the clouds are breaking apart. You're sitting at 54 degrees this morning, headed for a gorgeous afternoon.

Sunshine takes over. Central Arkansas hits 71 degrees. Northwest Arkansas reaches 70. Northeast Arkansas tops out at 66. Light winds, clear skies — perfect weather for getting outside and enjoying it.

Tonight stays comfortable. Lows drop to around 50 to 53 degrees under mostly clear skies. South winds pick up slightly. And that's your first hint of what's brewing.

Monday brings heat and trouble. Highs surge to the mid to upper 70s statewide — 34 degrees above normal for early March. But between 7 A.M. and 1 P.M., thunderstorms fire up across Central Arkansas. Some could pack a punch — heavy rain, gusty winds, maybe a quarter to half inch of rainfall. Northwest Arkansas dodges most of it, staying sunny and hitting 76 degrees. Northeast Arkansas sees storms arrive by early afternoon.

Monday night keeps the threat alive. Showers and thunderstorms linger through evening, especially south. Lows hold in the mid 60s — warmer than some April nights.

Here's your heads-up for the week. Tuesday climbs near 80 degrees with another round of storms possible. Wednesday's the big one — a cold front sweeps through with strong to severe thunderstorms likely. Heavy rain totals could hit 1.5 to 3 inches statewide. Wednesday night that front clears. And temperatures crash. Thursday cools dramatically — highs only reach the low 60s under sunny skies. Friday rebounds nicely to the mid 70s with sunshine. The weekend looks mostly sunny with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Bottom line — enjoy today's sunshine. Stay weather-aware Monday through Wednesday.

See you this evening.

Good morning. Arkansas. I'm Michael Nally.

After an inch of rain overnight, we're finally drying out. Skies clear this morning as drier air settles in. Enjoy the calm while it lasts. Because Monday brings round two.

Today's all sunshine statewide. Northwest Arkansas starts with patchy fog before 9 A.M., then turns gorgeous with a high near 70 degrees. Central Arkansas sees mostly sunny skies, reaching 71. Northeast Arkansas? Bright sunshine, topping out at 66. Light winds keep things peaceful.

Tonight stays clear and mild. Lows settle into the low 50s across most of the state. Northwest Arkansas dips to 50 degrees, while central and northeast Arkansas hold near 51 to 53 degrees.

Monday flips the script. Central Arkansas sees a chance of thunderstorms between 7 A.M. and 1 P.M., then storms become likely. Highs reach 76 degrees. Northwest Arkansas stays sunny and warm, hitting 77. Northeast Arkansas turns partly sunny with a chance of storms after 1 P.M., reaching 74. Some storms could pack a punch — hail and damaging winds are the main threats.

Thursday flips the script again. A cold front sweeps through, clearing skies and dropping temperatures back to seasonal levels. Highs only reach the low 60s. Friday and Saturday look beautiful — sunny skies with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Enjoy the sunshine today. You've earned it after last night's soaking.

See you this afternoon.

      <itunes:title>Arkansas Weather 3/7 Evening - Flood Warning</itunes:title>

Good evening. Arkansas. I'm Michael Nally.

In Step outside you’ll feel it, that heavy, damp air hanging after nearly an inch of rain overnight. The ground is soaked, skies are still weeping a light drizzle. And temperatures are stuck in the 50s. That’s about 35 degrees warmer than usual for early March, but don’t get used to this muggy calm.

Northwest Arkansas wakes up to a chilly 35 degrees, with patchy fog clinging to the valleys. But by afternoon? You’re looking at a dramatic rebound to 70 degrees under sunny skies. Tonight stays clear with lows dipping to 52. Sunday brings more sunshine and a high of 71, but keep an eye on the wind—shifting from northeast to southwest by midday. That’s your sign the warmup is real.

Central Arkansas starts at 50 degrees with a slight chance of lingering showers this evening. Mostly cloudy skies stick around tonight, but Sunday turns mostly sunny with a high of 72—perfect for shaking off yesterday’s rain. By Monday, though, storms return. You’ve got a likely chance of thunderstorms rolling in by afternoon, with gusty southwest winds up to 20 miles an hour.

Northeast Arkansas is the wild card. A chance of thunderstorms lingers through midnight, with temperatures actually rising overnight from 48 degrees at dusk to near 51 by dawn. Sunday clears out with a high of 66, but Monday brings another round of storms. By Tuesday, thunderstorms become likely as temperatures climb to 78 degrees—that’s well above normal.

Here’s your heads-up for the week ahead. This is just the opening act. A powerful storm system builds early next week, bringing multiple rounds of severe weather Tuesday through Wednesday. Heavy rain, damaging winds. And even isolated tornadoes are possible, especially across southern and eastern Arkansas. Behind it? A sharp cooldown by Thursday, with highs dropping back to the 50s and 60s.

In One last note, the Cache River near Patterson is under a Flood Warning starting Wednesday. If you’re near low-lying areas, move equipment to higher ground now.

Spring officially arrives in 13 days. But it looks like the weather is giving us a preview of the stormy side first.

See you tomorrow.

      <itunes:title>Arkansas Weather 3/7 Morning - Spring Surprise Shake-Up</itunes:title>

Good morning. Arkansas. I'm Aaron Jolly.

That heavy, sticky air you felt stepping outside this morning? It isn't just humidity—it's fuel. A powerful cold front is marching across Arkansas right now, crashing into all that warm, unstable energy. We've a **Severe Thunderstorm Watch** in effect for 14 counties in eastern and southern Arkansas until 2 P.M., including Pine Bluff. Stuttgart. And Newport. And if you're near Hot Springs or Glenwood, keep a sharp eye on the roads—a **Flash Flood Warning** is active until 10:30 A.M. With 1 to 3 inches of rain falling fast.

Central Arkansas, you're waking up to 70 degrees—that's 37 degrees above normal for early March. You'll hit 77 degrees around 1 P.M. Before temperatures crash this afternoon. Expect heavy rain and gusty winds by mid-morning. Tonight, you drop to 52 degrees with lingering showers.

Northwest Arkansas starts cooler at 59 degrees in Fayetteville and Bentonville, with morning storms likely. But the real story is the drop—expect 38 degrees tonight as the front clears. Sunday rebounds beautifully to 71 degrees and sunshine.

Jonesboro, you're ground zero for the heaviest rain today. Thunderstorms are certain before 11 A.M., with highs near 74 degrees. Like Little Rock, your temperatures fall through the afternoon, bottoming out at 50 degrees tonight.

This is a dangerous setup for flooding. If you approach a covered road, turn around—don't drown.

Looking ahead. Sunday offers a sunny break with highs in the 60s and 70s. But Monday and Tuesday bring another round of storms, potentially severe, with highs near 80. Wednesday sharply cooler, drying out by Friday.

Keep those phones charged and stay weather-aware this afternoon. See you tomorrow.

See you this afternoon.

Good morning. Arkansas. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside right now and you'll feel it. That thick, humid air that tells you something's brewing. We're sitting at 62 degrees statewide with dewpoints in the low 60s. That's fuel.

Today brings one last gasp of warmth before everything changes. Central Arkansas climbs to 83 degrees — running about 41 degrees above normal for early March. Northwest Arkansas tops out at 76, northeast hits 78. South winds gust to 25 miles an hour all afternoon, pumping in that Gulf moisture like a furnace.

But A cold front is bearing down tonight. And it's packing serious punch. Northwest Arkansas sees the first wave around 9 this evening — storms capable of large hail, damaging winds. And tornadoes. Central Arkansas gets hammered between midnight and 5 A.M. With heavy rain and dangerous lightning. Some storms could dump three-quarters to one inch of rain in minutes.

Saturday morning brings round two. The southeast gets hit with heavy rain before noon. Rainfall totals could reach one to two inches statewide, with isolated higher amounts. Flash flooding is possible where storms train over the same spots.

Behind the front, temperatures crash. Saturday's highs range from 63 in the northwest to 76 central — a 41 degrees-degree drop from today. Sunday brings a break with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Looking ahead, more storm chances return Monday and Tuesday. Another round of heavy rain hits mid-week. Rainfall totals through next Wednesday could reach three to five inches across much of the state.

Have multiple ways to receive warnings tonight and tomorrow morning. Don't wait until the last minute to take shelter.

See you tomorrow.

Good afternoon. Arkansas. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside and you're already sweating. We're sitting at 74 degrees with that thick, sticky air that makes your shirt cling. But here's the headline. Little Rock could tie or break a 1918 record today. That's 82 degrees, folks.

In the next 24 hours. Central Arkansas tops out near 79 with partly sunny skies. Northwest Arkansas hits 71 under mostly cloudy conditions with a coin flip chance at afternoon thunderstorms. Northeast Arkansas reaches 74 with storms possible between 1 and 3 P.M. Tonight cools to the low 60s statewide under partly cloudy skies. Winds stay light out of the south.

Friday cranks the heat even higher. Central Arkansas climbs to 82. Northeast Arkansas hits 78. Northwest Arkansas reaches 75. But here's where it gets serious. Severe weather potential builds through the afternoon and evening. Strong southerly winds gust to 30 miles an hour. Thunderstorms fire up Friday evening. Some could turn severe with damaging winds and large hail.

Saturday morning brings widespread storms and heavy rain across most regions before noon. Rainfall totals could reach three quarters to one inch. Highs range from 65 in the northwest to 76 in central areas before temperatures drop behind the cold front.

Sunday offers a break. Partly sunny skies return with highs in the upper 60s to near 70. Morning showers taper off early.

Next week turns unsettled again. Monday through Wednesday brings daily thunderstorm chances, some potentially strong. Highs stay in the mid to upper 70s through Tuesday before another system drops us back to the low 70s by Wednesday.

Enjoy the record warmth today, but keep Friday's severe weather on your radar. Have a plan and know where to shelter.

Good morning. Arkansas. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside right now and you'll feel 66 degrees. At dawn. That's 35 degrees warmer than early March should be. The overnight low? Also 66. The temperature never budged.

In the next 24 hours. We're locked in a humid, stormy pattern. Showers and thunderstorms are already rolling through the northern half of the state.

Up in Northeast Arkansas, thunderstorms dominate the morning — 80 percent chance. You'll hit 75 degrees by afternoon.

Northwest Arkansas gets the same treatment. Storms through midday, then they ease off. Highs reach 71.

Central Arkansas catches a slight break. Rain chances sit at 60 percent this morning, then storms fade. Highs surge to 79 degrees. That's just 35 degrees shy of Little Rock's record for today.

Tonight, clouds part a bit. Lows only drop to the low 60s. And if you're out after dark, look up — it's a Full Moon.

Friday brings round two. Strong to severe thunderstorms fire up, especially across western and northern Arkansas. Damaging winds and large hail are the main threats. Highs climb into the upper 70s to low 80s. We could break records.

The weekend stays messy. Saturday brings more storms statewide. Sunday finally dries out with highs in the 60s and 70s.

Looking ahead, another system rolls in Tuesday into Wednesday. More rain, more storms, then a real cooldown by midweek. Highs drop into the 60s with lows in the 40s.

We're gaining over two minutes of daylight each day now. Spring equinox is two weeks out. But today? Feels like we skipped ahead a month.

If storms fire up near you tomorrow, have a plan. Charging your phone now beats scrambling later.

Step outside and you might think April came early. We're sitting at 71 degrees under clear skies, running a solid 45 degrees warmer than usual for early March. It's a beautiful spring preview, but don't let that sunshine fool you. We've a **severe thunderstorm watch** in effect until **11 P.M.** for parts of western Arkansas, including Logan. Polk. Scott. And Yell counties.

In the next 24 hours. Here's the timeline for your night. Northwest Arkansas gets the first round. Thunderstorms become likely after **8 P.M.**, peaking right around **9 P.M.** with a 90 percent chance. Some of those storms could pack a punch with large hail and damaging winds. You'll stay mild tonight with a low around 56.

Central Arkansas, the action rolls in later. You're in the clear until after **11 P.M.**, with storms peaking around midnight. Rain is likely. And you'll only drop to about 63 degrees.

Up in the northeast corner, the worst holds off until the early morning. Expect thunderstorms between 45 degrees and **5 A.M.**, with lows staying near 64.

Thursday brings a quick break. Storms taper off by mid-morning. And the sun fights back. Little Rock surges to near 79 degrees. That's flirting with record territory. The northwest cools to 71. And the northeast hits 75.

Looking ahead, the pattern stays active. Friday into Saturday brings another round of storms. And we could see two to three inches of rain by the weekend. Temperatures cool down slightly for Sunday and Monday before climbing back up.

Step outside and you'll swear April arrived early. We're sitting at 64 degrees under gray skies. And the temperature never even dropped overnight. That warm blanket of air is parked right over us.

In the next 24 hours. Here's the setup for the day. Northwest Arkansas is the bullseye for active weather. Showers and thunderstorms are likely through the day. And some could turn severe. Keep an eye out for hail or damaging winds. You'll hit 68 degrees with gusts to 20 miles an hour.

Central Arkansas stays warmer and drier. Partly sunny skies help you reach 79 degrees — that's about 44 degrees above normal for early March. Just a slight chance of a shower pops up after midday.

Northeast Arkansas sits in the middle. Highs climb near 77 degrees with a chance of showers developing by late morning.

Tonight, the weather spreads south. Thunderstorms become likely in Central Arkansas after midnight. Lows hold in the low 60s statewide. If you're out late, you might hear rumbles before you see the rain.

Thursday brings another round. Central Arkansas hits 79 again with storms likely. Northwest Arkansas reaches 72 with continued thunderstorms.

Looking ahead, this warm, wet pattern locks in through the weekend. Highs stay in the 70s to near 80. Expect multiple rounds of showers and storms Friday through Saturday. Some could be strong to severe. Rainfall totals of two to four inches are possible in spots.

Spring isn't officially here for two weeks, but looking at the forecast. I'd say it already arrived.

If the thunder rolls in tonight, don't panic. That's just the soundtrack of spring in Arkansas.

Good evening. Arkansas. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Folks, if you stepped outside today and thought. Did we skip straight to May? You're not wrong. Arkansas is sitting at 74 degrees right now under clear skies. That's nearly 48 degrees warmer than where we started this morning. A southerly flow is pumping Gulf air straight up through the state. That's your engine behind all this warmth.

In the next 24 hours. Central Arkansas topped out at 79 degrees today. Felt like a gift. Tonight, clouds roll in and lows settle around 61. Enjoy the calm evening. Because this is the last quiet night for a while.

Now head northwest to Fayetteville. That's where things get interesting first. Storms develop after 9 P.M. Tonight. About a coin flip chance, so keep radar handy if you're out late. Wednesday is the main event. Storms likely all day with a high near 69 degrees. Some could pack large hail and damaging winds. Wednesday night stays active with lows near 57.

Over in northeast Arkansas, today reached 76 degrees. A slight chance of showers pops up around 11 A.M. Wednesday. Storm chances climb Wednesday night with lows near 64.

So what's the bigger picture this week? An active pattern locks in Wednesday and doesn't let go through the weekend. Multiple rounds of storms are coming. Western and northern Arkansas could see 2 to 4 inches of rain total. Temperatures stay stubbornly warm. Mid 70s to low 80s through the weekend. Friday might be the warmest day we've seen since last fall.

One more thing worth noting. The full moon rises at sunset tonight. We're gaining over two minutes of daylight each day now. Spring equinox is just two weeks out. The atmosphere clearly got the memo early.

Charge your devices tonight and double check those weather alerts. Wednesday demands your attention.

For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves.

Good evening. Arkansas. I'm Aaron Jolly.

Step outside and you might think we skipped a few pages on the calendar. We're sitting at 71 degrees right now under clear skies. That's about 48 degrees warmer than we would expect for early March. The spring equinox is still two weeks away, but nobody told the atmosphere.

In the next 24 hours. Tonight stays mild with lows around 61 degrees across most of the state. Clouds will thicken up as a front approaches from the northwest.

Wednesday turns active. Central Arkansas climbs to 79 degrees with just a slight chance of storms after noon. Head north and the story changes. Northwest Arkansas sees storms developing by morning, some possibly severe, with an 80 percent chance by afternoon. Gusts could hit 30 miles an hour. Northeast Arkansas reaches 76 degrees with scattered showers and storms developing through the day.

Wednesday night is when things get noisy. Thunderstorms become likely statewide. Northwest Arkansas has the highest severe weather potential, with large hail and damaging winds the main threats.

Looking ahead, this unsettled pattern sticks around. Multiple rounds of storms roll through Friday into the weekend. We could see two to four inches of rain across western and northern Arkansas by the time it's all said and done. Temperatures stay well above normal, with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 through early next week.

One more thing — tonight's full moon will be rising around sunset. If you want to enjoy it, step outside before those clouds thicken up later tonight.

One heads-up for western and northwestern sections. Humidity drops to around 30 percent this afternoon. That means elevated wildfire danger. Skip the burn pile today.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Arkansas Weather Podcast — it's Thursday, February 26th.

Step outside right now and you're at 52 degrees under gray skies. But those clouds are about to crack open.. And when they do, temperatures are going to soar.

Central Arkansas starts with a slight chance of showers before 7 A.M. Then the sun breaks through. You'll hit 71 degrees this afternoon. That's a 39 degrees-degree jump in just a few hours. Tonight you'll settle at 43 under mostly clear skies.

Northwest Arkansas is already seeing breaks in the clouds. Highs top out near 70 with a gentle north breeze at 5 to 10 miles an hour. Lows tonight fall to 42.

Northeast Arkansas stays a touch cooler today. That stationary front draped across the region keeps highs around 64 degrees. Tonight you'll drop to 42.

Quick note for Jackson and Woodruff Counties. The Flood Warning for the Cache River near Patterson continues until early this afternoon. Minor flooding is occurring. Stay off flooded roads.

Now here's where it gets interesting. Friday and Saturday bring even warmer air. Highs climb into the mid 70s statewide. Saturday could approach record territory near 77 degrees. That's the kind of warmth that makes you forget winter ever happened.

But don't get too comfortable. Sunday brings a pattern shift. A front stalls over the region and rain chances increase. Showers and thunderstorms become likely Sunday night into Monday across northern Arkansas.

The first half of next week looks unsettled. Temperatures cool back to the 50s and 60s. Rain chances linger each day through Wednesday.

We're gaining over 2 minutes of daylight now. Sunrise at 6:43, sunset at 6:03. Spring is just three weeks away.

Enjoy this warmth while you can. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Arkansas Weather Podcast — it's Wednesday, February 25th.

Folks, you woke up to 52 degrees. That's not a typo. We held the warmth overnight. And now we're about to run with it.

Central Arkansas pushes to 67 degrees by 2 P.M. South winds gust to 20 miles an hour under mostly cloudy skies. Northwest Arkansas steals the show — you're hitting 70 degrees around 3 P.M. with partly sunny breaks. That's flip-flop weather in late February. Northeast Arkansas runs a bit cooler, topping out at 62 degrees by 1 P.M.
Tonight the pattern shifts. Central Arkansas drops to 52 degrees with a slight chance of showers between 7 P.M. and 3 A.M. Nothing heavy, just a sprinkle or two. Northwest Arkansas cools to 46 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Northeast Arkansas dips to 48 degrees with a brief rain chance around 3 A.M. Step outside at 5 A.M. and it'll feel like 42.

Thursday splits the state. Central and Northwest Arkansas stay mild — 67 and 68 degrees with scattered showers possible. Northeast Arkansas hits 60 degrees, but rain chances climb to 30 percent through the day.

Here's what's lining up. Friday brings sunshine statewide — 70 degrees in Central Arkansas, 73 in the northwest, 66 in the northeast. Saturday cranks the heat even higher. We're talking 77 degrees across the board under sunny skies. Sunday keeps the warmth rolling with highs in the low to mid-70s, though a slight chance of showers returns. Early next week stays mild but unsettled as a frontal boundary lingers nearby.

We're gaining 2 minutes and 7 seconds of daylight today. Spring equinox is three weeks out.

Enjoy this warmth while it lasts.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Arkansas Weather Podcast — it's Tuesday, February 24th.

Folks, Arkansas is pulling off a magic trick today. You stepped outside to 30 degrees this morning.. But by 3 P.M., you're hitting the low 60s. Some of you up north? You'll touch 70. That's a 40-degree temperature swing in one day.

Down in Little Rock, you're climbing to 62 degrees under mostly sunny skies. South winds pick up to 11 miles an hour, then gust to 30 by mid-afternoon. Tonight stays mild at 47 degrees. Tomorrow? Even warmer at 71, but late Wednesday night brings a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Nothing severe, just something to watch.

Now head northwest to Fayetteville. You hit 63 degrees today, but the real story is the wind. Southwest gusts slam to 40 miles an hour around noon. That's strong enough to make driving sketchy if you're in a high-profile vehicle. Secure your patio furniture and trash cans, because they might take flight. Winds ease tonight but still gust to 25. Tomorrow brings sunshine and 70 degrees.

Over in Jonesboro, sunny skies push you to 55 degrees. But there's a Wind Advisory from 9 A.M. To 9 P.M. For Craighead and Greene counties. Gusts hit 40 miles an hour. And with humidity dropping, fire danger spikes. No outdoor burning today. Meanwhile, the Cache River near Patterson stays under a Flood Warning until Friday. Low-lying roads like Highway 37 near Grubbs could still see water over the pavement.

Here's your week ahead. Wednesday brings our warmest day, low 70s statewide. Thursday cools slightly to upper 60s with a chance of light rain in the northeast. Friday through Sunday dry out, with highs rebounding into the 70s by Saturday. Sunday hints at showers returning, setting up a pattern shift next week.

Layer up this morning. You'll shed that jacket by lunch.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Stay sharp out there.

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Arkansas Weather Podcast — it's Monday, February 23rd.

Step outside right now and you'll feel that bite. We're starting in the teens and 20s statewide. Northwest Arkansas woke up to 19 degrees, the coldest spot. Central Arkansas sits at 26. Northeast Arkansas? 24 degrees. But here's the thing.. We're gaining over 2 minutes of daylight today. And that sun's about to do some work.

By this afternoon, we're climbing into the 40s. Central Arkansas hits 47 degrees by 4 PM. Northwest Arkansas reaches 43 by 2 PM. Northeast Arkansas tops out at 38. Light winds, clear skies. It's the kind of day where your car thermometer tells a story every hour.

Tonight gets weird. Winds flip southerly. And temperatures actually rise after dark. Central Arkansas drops to 27 around 7 PM, then climbs back to the mid-30s by sunrise. Northwest Arkansas starts at 31 and warms to 36 overnight. Northeast Arkansas hovers near 25, then nudges into the upper 20s by morning.

Tomorrow? We leap into spring. Highs soar into the 60s across the state. Central and Northwest Arkansas both hit 62 degrees. Northeast Arkansas reaches 54. But those warmer temps bring gusty winds, 20 to 30 miles an hour. Hold onto your hat.

Here's your week ahead. Wednesday brings highs in the 60s and 70s.. Central Arkansas could touch 71. Then Thursday, a cold front sweeps through with rain showers. Northeast Arkansas has the best shot at storms, 60 percent chance. Central and Northwest see 30 to 40 percent. After that, we settle into the 50s and 60s for the weekend, with Saturday the warmest day near 72 degrees.

Quick heads up. The Cache River near Patterson remains in minor flood stage. If you're in Jackson or Woodruff counties, avoid flooded roads.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Enjoy the warmup while it lasts!

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Arkansas Weather Podcast — it's Sunday, February 22nd. Step outside right now and you'll feel 37 degrees, but today's about to split the state in two.

Northwest Arkansas barely cracks 43 degrees by 3 P.M. Central Arkansas? You're hitting 50 around 2 P.M. That seven degree spread mightn't sound wild, but wait till you feel those northwest winds gusting to 20 miles an hour. That's the kind of breeze that finds every gap in your jacket.

Now here's where it gets interesting. Tonight, the bottom drops out. Northwest Arkansas plunges to 18 degrees by 5 A.M. Monday — wind chills diving to 17 degrees. That's the kind of cold where your car hesitates before starting. Central Arkansas holds on to 28 degrees, but with wind chills at 22, you're still gonna want that extra layer.

Monday stays chilly — highs in the 40s statewide. But Tuesday? That's when things flip. Central Arkansas jumps to 62 degrees. Northwest Arkansas hits 63. We're talking a 20 degree swing in 24 hours. Wednesday pushes near 70 in some spots, but those gusty south winds return — 15 to 20 miles an hour — so keep the matches in the drawer. Humidity's been in the 20s. And we don't need any fire scares.

Thursday brings our first real rain chances in days. Northeast Arkansas has the best shot at 50 percent. By Saturday? Central Arkansas could hit 73 degrees. That's a 30 degree climb from where we started today.

Quick heads up — if this forecast helped you plan your week, share it with a friend who hates surprises. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Dress warmly tonight, folks!

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Arkansas Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 24th.

Folks, Arkansas woke up wearing two different outfits today. Central Arkansas is sitting pretty at 43 degrees with barely a breeze. Head northwest toward Fayetteville though, and you're shivering at 37 degrees with a northeast wind at 10 miles an hour. That's the kind of wind that sneaks right through your jacket zipper. Northeast Arkansas splits the difference at 40 degrees.

Here's the deal for the rest of your Saturday. Central Arkansas keeps the warmest air. Northwest Arkansas stays cooler under stubborn clouds, with a slight chance of sprinkles. Nothing worth canceling plans over. Everywhere else stays dry.

Tonight the thermometer slides. Northwest Arkansas drops to near freezing. Central and Northeast Arkansas dip into the mid 30s. Winds stay light, so no brutal wind chills. Just grab that extra blanket.

Sunday shapes up nicely. Sunshine comes back like it missed us. Highs climb to the low 40s northwest, mid 40s around Little Rock, and upper 30s to near 40 northeast. Here's the thing. For late February, that sunshine makes all the difference. Perfect afternoon to get outside.

Now here's your heads up for the week ahead. Dry weather parks itself over Arkansas and doesn't budge. Temperatures climb steadily, pushing into the 50s by midweek. Mornings still bite, but afternoons start flirting with early spring. No storms lurking. Just a slow, steady warm up that'll have you rolling down the car windows by Thursday.

One more thing worth knowing. Sunrise hits at 6:32 this morning. Sunset at 5:20. We're gaining almost 3 minutes of daylight every single day now. Air quality sits at moderate, so sensitive groups might want to take it easy outside.

Alright. If you're enjoying these daily updates, share us with a neighbor. Word of mouth keeps this thing going.

That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Stay safe out there!

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Arkansas Weather Podcast. It's Friday, February 23rd.

Folks, step outside right now and you'll feel two completely different mornings depending on where you're. Northwest Arkansas is sitting at a crisp 52 degrees with a light northeast breeze. Drive southeast toward Little Rock and you're already at 60 degrees. That's an eight degree spread before most people finish their first cup of coffee. Northeast Arkansas splits the difference at 55 degrees. Barely a breath of wind up there.

Here's the deal for tonight. Temperatures ease down into the upper 30s to low 40s across the state. Central Arkansas might see a stray shower sneak through, but honestly, most of us stay completely dry. Leave the umbrella in the car.

Now tomorrow is where it gets fun. Northwest Arkansas climbs into the upper 50s. Central and Northeast Arkansas? You're pushing into the mid 60s. That's the kind of Saturday where you throw open the windows and pretend spring already arrived. Perfect for hitting up a trail or just sitting on the porch doing absolutely nothing.

Here's your heads up for the week ahead. The warmth isn't going anywhere. Highs hold in the 60s through Monday with sunshine running the show. We're also gaining nearly three minutes of daylight. Sunset pushes past 5:18 this evening, so those after work walks just got a little longer. Air quality is moderate today, so if you're sensitive to that, you'll want to take it easy outside.

One more thing. If you're enjoying these morning updates, share us with a friend. It really does help more Arkansas folks find us.

Alright, bundle up for those chilly mornings but enjoy the warmth rolling in this afternoon. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!
