Anywhere and Elsewhere is a deep dive into science fiction cinema, the ideas, worlds, and questions these films ask about who we are and where we're headed.

Each episode takes a single film and pulls it apart: the big idea underneath the story, the worldbuilding choices that make it believable, the craft decisions that make it linger. Sometimes that means identity, sometimes society, sometimes time itself, but the throughline is always the same. Science fiction, at its best, is never really about the spaceships. It's about the moment someone looks at the world they know and decides it doesn't have to be like this.

Hosted by Anthony Rios also known for Celluloid Circuits, which looks specifically at technology in film Anywhere and Elsewhere widens the lens. This is the show for the films where the tech isn't the point: the ones that take you somewhere else entirely, and ask what you brought back with you.

Not one future. Every future, one film at a time.
