My new hobby is reading and it has given me some knowledge to share among the masses. You're welcome. In this episode I talk about the new book I've picked up called "13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do" by Amy Morin. Mentally strong people don't give away their power. Meaning, the more you think about the person you hate the more power you give them. I know, mind blown! Mine was at least... listen in to learn more.! P.S. It's really interesting and has helped me be more forgiving and let things roll off my back.

I feel like we've all heard "enjoy college while you can, it's the best years of your life". It can be SOME of the best years of our life but our early 20s aren't gonna be the best times ever. It is really fun and was but I can't wait for all the other peaks I'm going to have in life. I talk about the lows after finishing college and how to bounce back in your first big kid job. It takes time to adjust but you can do it! More peaks in life are to come :) Also, if you're in college now and it's kind of a flop. Don't take it too to heart, there are so many other things that we have to look forward to. Sometimes are expectations aren't met and that's okay... eventually lol :)

It can be hard to live in the now and not worry about the next big thing that's going to confront us. But if you live and grow in your current position, it can open up resources you didn't even realize were sitting right under your nose. Work on living daily life and grow where you are planted! It can take you places - just like hyper fixating on the future can without huge anxiety and stress.

This is something I recorded a while back and I didn’t like it… now I’m not so sure why I was so hard on myself! I was kind of in a rut then and contemplating a lot but it’s still a fun podcast. Especially as I get going, it gets very random, and the energy picks up. I talk about worrying and taking out double your energy instead of just doing the action. We just have to remember to not make ourselves suffer twice :). I also talk about neighbor drama, wedding dress shopping, dying my hair, and me not being “that girl”.

Hey Newbs! On this podcast, my friend Katie joins in to talk about our journeys with body image and what we've learned so far. As young kids, we equated skinny with healthy and beautiful. I was 7 or 8 years old and I was already worried about my body. Now as young adults, we've realized how detrimental that thought process can be and we weren't being healthy. We also talk about birth control and my experience of feeling unheard by doctors. We don’t know what our passions are and what exactly we're working towards but learning how to accept ourselves is a big step we want to keep taking.

This podcast was made with good intent and hoping to spread positive messages about loving yourself. But it's also okay if that process takes time.

Follow Katie's Instagrams:

@fitwithkaitlin

@whatthehealthy

@ktcaraher
