Hollow Falls is a town wrapped in mist, carved into the edge of a forest where the land slopes into a hidden valley. Its name comes from the way the river carves a hollow in the land as it tumbles over the falls, a place where the water forgets its path and the town forgets certain things too - memories, old loyalties, and sometimes names.

Hollow Falls exists in the quiet between certainty and rumor, a place where legends are as common as cobblestones and every resident keeps one cautionary tale tucked into their coat pocket.

The Wailing Werewolf

In silver light I learned to howl,

When the moon returns, I greet the night.

A memory kept where shadows prowl,

The first scream born of autumn’s bite.

This tale tells of a former hunter-turned-steward of Hollow Falls who trained villagers to respect the moon. The stolen memory is the town’s first Halloween Eve, a recording of the boy who first dared howl at the full moon. The werewolf is a cursed ancestor linked to the bell rope clue, misdirecting belief toward a lone predator.
